Abstract

Kawista (Feronia limonia) merupakan tanaman suku jeruk-jerukan (Rutaceae) berpotensi sebagai tanaman obat. Menurut penelitian yang pernah dilaksanakan, buah kawista baru diolah menjadi sirup, dodol, selai dan madumongso. Semakin meningkatnya perhatian terhadap pengaruh makanan dan minuman terhadap kesehatan, memicu berkembangnya produk kesehatan dengan pemanfaatan bahan alami. Berdasarkan manfaat buah kawista, penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk sirup buah kawista sebagai minuman probiotik dengan pemanfaatan bakteri indigenous genus Lactobacillus yang diisolasi dari buah kawista. Pembuatan minuman probiotik kawista diawali dengan pembuatan sirup dengan metode maserasi. Bakteri  indigenous diisiolasi dari kulit luar, kulit dalam dan sirup buah kawista dengan teknik pengenceran bertingkat. Isolasi dilakukan pada media NA yang dimodifikasi dengan sirup kawista. Sebanyak 35 isolat bakteri yang didapat diseleksi dengan pemindahan ke media MRS. Dilakukan uji metode difusi sumur untuk mengetahui aktivitas antimikroba isolat terhadap bakteri patogen pencernaan yakni Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Diamati zona bening yang terbentuk pada 3 bakteri uji sehingga didapatkan 3 isolat bakteri terpilih dengan diameter zona 15,5 mm; 17 mm dan 30,5 mm. Isolat terpilih didentifikasi dengan metode  perwarnaan gram sehingga diketahui jenis bakteri adalah gram positif. Identifikasi molekuler dilakukan oleh Macrogen-Korea. Dari hasil sekuensing didapatkan spesies Lactobacillus paracasei strain FT179 sebagai isolat fermentasi. Dilakukan pembuatan kurva baku dan kurva tumbuh untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan optimal sebagai acuan pembuatan starter. Waktu pertumbuhan optimum Lactobacillus paracasei didapatkan pada jam ke 12.

Abstract

This research is driven by observations from the eighth-grade class at Junior High School 5 Kertosono, which revealed that lesson planning, reading comprehension, and problem-solving strategies have not been effectively utilized. Therefore, this research aims to enhance students' awareness and metacognitive skills through the application of the ASICC learning model. The focus of this study is on 18 eighth-grade students at Junior High School 5 Kertosono. This research is classroom action research based on a lesson study conducted over two cycles. The data analysis used is the scores of metacognitive awareness and skills in the first cycle compared to the second cycle, tested using N-Gain analysis. The research results reveal that metacognitive awareness in the first cycle showed that 11.1% of students were in the "medium" category, which increased to 22.2% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, metacognitive skills experienced a significant increase in the "high" category, starting from 16.7% in the first cycle and rising to 33.3% in the second cycle. The ASICC learning model can be applied to enhance students' metacognition. Another finding reveals that students with good metacognitive awareness do not always possess good metacognitive skills

Abstract

The distribution of stunting cases in Kediri City is dominated by the Kota District area. The Kediri city government continues to strive to reduce the stunting rate with various programs to accelerate stunting reduction, one of which is education and health education. This activity aims to provide information and knowledge to pregnant women and mothers of toddlers in the Banjarmlati sub-district, Kediri City about stunting and to determine the level of understanding of pregnant women and mothers of toddlers regarding nutritional needs and stunting. The method used is health education with lectures and interactive methods, which ends with giving a post-test. The post-test results showed the highest correct answer score was 83.4% regarding stunting knowledge in general; 95.8% about efforts to prevent stunting; and 91.7% about the impact of stunting on children's subsequent growth and development. Based on the results above, the knowledge of the mothers who participated in the counseling after being given the material was considered very good so that the health education carried out was considered successful.

Abstract

The large number of activities without being balanced with sufficient consumption of drinking water can affect the hydration status of the body, namely the occurrence of dehydration. The study aims to describe the short-term hydration status of D-III Nursing Study Program students in terms of the PURI test results. The method used is the PURI test, namely the urine self-check method which is carried out in 2 tests. The research also used a survey method to support the results of the PURI test. Based on the results of the study, the short-term hydration status of D-III Nursing Study Program students based on the PURI test on the results of the 1st test showed that most of the students 15% experienced mild dehydration and 72% experienced severe dehydration. This is related to the habit of students who never bring drinking water to campus and most students do not consume enough water during the range of lecture hours until the lecture is over. The results of the 2nd PURI test showed that 76% of students had good hydration status because prior to testing students were encouraged to consume sufficient amounts of water. The results of the study show that students awareness of meeting body fluids to maintain body fluid homeostasis needs to be increased.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the community's knowledge and skills in using chopping machines, which is a basic skill in managing litter and agricultural waste into compost and processing livestock forage into silage. Service activities were carried out in Tempurejo village, Kediri Regency with a total of 36 partners. The method used in this service is an empowerment based on collaborative participation. The activity stages follow the community empowerment implementation model, namely ODSIMED (Observation, Development, Socialisation, Implementation, Monitoring, Evaluation and Desemination). The instrument used to measure community knowledge and skills is a questionnaire and the data is analyzed quantitatively. The results of this service show that partners (1) are able to determine chopped materials for making compost or silage, achieving an average skill score of 3.27, (2) are able to differentiate the function of each part of the machine, achieving an average skill score of 3.30, (3) able to turn on and turn off the machine with a partner skill score reaching 3.20, (4) able to produce various forms of shreds both for compost and silage making purposes achieving an average score of 3.50, (5) able to calculate production capacity reaching the average skill score is 3.40, and (6) being able to carry out maintenance on machines reaches an average skill score of 2.80.

Abstract

This research aims to find out more about efforts to increase numeracy literacy skill of class VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Prambon by utilizing the Think, Pair, Share learning model with the support of case videos. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively with class teachers in 2 cycles. The subjects in this research were 13 grade VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Prambon. Methods of gathering data include observation, interviews, assessments, field notes, and documentation. The assessment consists of questions tailored to the benchmarks of numeracy literacy skills. The question format is a descriptive. The study’s findings indicated that there was a rise in numerical literacy prooficiency in every measure. The firs indicator in cycle 1 had an average value of 63, then in cycle 2 it became 81. The second indicator in cycle 1 had an average value of 62, then in cycle 2 it increased to 78. The third indicator in cycle 1 had an average value of 63, then in cycle 2 the average value was 80. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of Think, Pair, Share learning model with the support of case videos can improve students numeracy literacy skill.
