Abstract

Research Aim: This study analyzes the factors influencing students' decisions to choose universities, specifically Muhammadiyah universities in West Kalimantan. The focus is on the role of accreditation in shaping students' choices. Method: Using correlation and multiple regression analysis, the study investigates the relationship between University accreditation and students' enrollment decisions. Data were collected from 100 active students in their early semesters across three Muhammadiyah universities for the 2022/2023 academic year. Research Finding: The results reveal a significant correlation between accreditation and students' decisions, showing that students prioritize accreditation when selecting a University. Multiple regression analysis indicates that accreditation directly influences students' choices, explaining approximately 80.5% of the variation in their decisions. Theoretical Contribution: This research contributes to understanding how University accreditation is a critical factor in prospective student decision-making, adding to the body of knowledge on higher education marketing strategies. Practical Implication: The findings highlight the importance of University management in maintaining and improving its accreditation status to attract potential students. Institutions must also consider other factors such as reputation, tuition fees, location, facilities, and offered programs to create effective and sustainable student recruitment strategies. Research Limitation: The study is limited to three Muhammadiyah universities in West Kalimantan, which may affect the generalizability of the findings to other regions or institutions

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kerentanan sosial sebagai akar munculnya konflik dalam masyarakat serta bagaimana nilai-nilai Islam melalui QS. Al-Hujurat ayat 9 memberikan prinsip resolusi konflik yang berkeadilan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui analisis literatur terhadap jurnal dan karya ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tekanan ekonomi, ketidaksetaraan sosial, stigma, dan eksklusi masyarakat menjadi faktor dominan yang memperlemah posisi kelompok rentan, sehingga meningkatkan risiko konflik horizontal dan kekerasan. Perspektif sosio-teologis menegaskan bahwa dakwah berperan dalam pemberdayaan psikologis dan sosial guna menguatkan ketahanan serta martabat kelompok rentan. Analisis ayat dan tafsir QS. Al-Hujurat ayat 9 menegaskan kewajiban mediasi yang adil, perlindungan hak pihak lemah, dan rekonsiliasi sebagai upaya mencegah eskalasi konflik. Kesimpulannya, integrasi pendekatan pemberdayaan komunitas dan prinsip keadilan dalam Al-Qur’an menjadi strategi efektif dalam menciptakan masyarakat inklusif, berkeadilan, dan harmonis.

Abstract

Students enrolled in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program are trained to become professional teachers capable of teaching all branches of PAI subjects in schools and madrasahs, including Islamic Cultural History (SKI). The SKI Learning System in Madrasahs course aims to equip students with pedagogical competencies in teaching SKI. However, the limited availability of adequate teaching materials and learning resources poses a challenge in this learning process. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the Encyclopedia of Islamic History, compiled by the Research and Islamic Studies Team of Egypt, as a supplementary book for the Islamic Cultural History textbook published by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data collection techniques include literature review and documentation, while data analysis is conducted using a descriptive-interpretative method. The findings indicate that the Encyclopedia of Islamic History is suitable as a supplementary book for SKI learning. This book explores Islamic culture from a historical perspective and shares similarities in content with 15 out of 20 chapters in the Ministry of Religious Affairs textbook. Therefore, it serves as an effective reference for SKI teachers and prospective PAI educators, including fourth-semester students at STAI Al-Hidayah Bogor.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of character education based on the Ta’limul Muta’allim book in shaping the akhlaqul karimah (noble character) of students at Pesantren Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Wahdah Islamiyah Bulukumba. Using a qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that key values such as honesty, discipline, patience, and respect for teachers are effectively instilled through structured learning of Ta’limul Muta’allim. The teaching process involves traditional methods such as lectures and discussions, combined with role modeling and direct daily practice. These approaches have shown a positive impact on students’ behavior, enhancing their awareness and application of Islamic ethics in both academic and social contexts. However, the study also highlights challenges such as the declining interest in classical Islamic texts and the growing influence of modern culture among youth. Overall, the research concludes that Ta’limul Muta’allim remains a relevant and effective tool for character education in pesantren, especially when supported by contextual and innovative teaching strategies adapted to contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the semantic meaning of the term Rabb in the Qur’an and explain its implications for the concept of Islamic education, particularly within the framework of tarbiyah. The research employs a library-based method with a Qur’anic semantic approach through lexical analysis, contextual examination of verses, and semantic relation mapping. Data were obtained from primary sources consisting of Qur’anic verses containing the word Rabb, as well as secondary sources such as classical and contemporary tafsir works, tarbiyah literature, and studies in Arabic linguistics. The findings indicate that the term Rabb encompasses a broad range of meanings, including creation, nurturing, regulation, guidance, and the gradual perfection of human nature (fitrah). These results affirm that tarbiyah in the Qur’anic perspective is not merely the transmission of knowledge, but an integral and continuous process that involves spiritual, moral, intellectual, and social development. The study concludes that understanding the comprehensive meaning of Rabb provides a theological and philosophical foundation for a holistic Islamic educational concept that is gradual, character-oriented, and centered on the development of human fitrah toward maturity and piety. Abstract

This article examines the integration of da‘wah and education in the Wahdah Islamiyah Movement from the perspective of contemporary Islamic da‘wah, positioning da‘wah as an educational and social transformation process. The study aims to analyze the forms, mechanisms, and implications of integrating da‘wah and education in shaping Muslim character and strengthening socio-religious engagement. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis of educational systems, da‘wah programs, and cadre development practices within Wahdah Islamiyah. The findings reveal that Wahdah Islamiyah implements a systematic, structured, and sustainable integration of da‘wah and education based on Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama‘ah theology, tiered tarbiyah models, comprehensive da‘i cadre formation, the use of digital da‘wah media, and da‘wah bil-hal through educational and social empowerment programs. The da‘i cadre system serves as the central nexus between da‘wah and education, functioning not merely to produce preachers but also educators and agents of social change characterized by the 5M values (Mu’min, Muslih, Mujahid, Muta‘awin, and Mutqin). This study contributes to contemporary Islamic da‘wah scholarship by offering an integrative da‘wah-educational model that is adaptive, participatory, and contextually responsive to modern societal challenges.

Abstract

Transformasi digital di bidang pendidikan menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran, efektivitas manajemen sekolah, serta kesiapan peserta didik menghadapi era digital. SMA Negeri 5 Takengon menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan integrasi teknologi, pemanfaatan platform pembelajaran yang belum optimal, serta perlunya peningkatan literasi digital guru dan siswa. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan mewujudkan transformasi digital di SMA Negeri 5 Takengon melalui penerapan Platform EDU SMART sebagai solusi pembelajaran dan manajemen pendidikan berbasis digital. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan dan konfigurasi Platform EDU SMART, pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi guru dan tenaga kependidikan, serta implementasi platform dalam proses pembelajaran dan administrasi sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Platform EDU SMART mampu meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran, ditandai dengan meningkatnya interaksi guru dan siswa, kemudahan akses materi pembelajaran, serta pengelolaan tugas dan penilaian yang lebih terstruktur. Selain itu, kompetensi literasi digital guru dan siswa mengalami peningkatan, serta manajemen sekolah menjadi lebih efisien melalui digitalisasi data akademik dan administrasi. Respon pengguna terhadap platform tergolong positif, baik dari sisi kemudahan penggunaan maupun manfaat yang dirasakan. Implikasi dari kegiatan ini adalah terciptanya ekosistem pembelajaran digital yang berkelanjutan di SMA Negeri 5 Takengon, serta menjadi model implementasi transformasi digital bagi sekolah menengah lainnya. Kesimpulannya, penerapan Platform EDU SMART efektif dalam mendukung transformasi digital sekolah dan berkontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Fenomena ganti menteri ganti kebijakan memengaruhi arah pendidikan, termasuk peralihan Kurikulum 2013 ke Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara komparatif implementasi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di SMAN 1 Dramaga Bogor. Metode kualitatif digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis deskriptif-interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adaptasi pergantian kurikulum terlaksana baik, didukung komitmen guru, staf, dan kepala sekolah. Kendala Kurikulum 2013 terletak pada kompleksitas administrasi dan asesmen terstruktur yang sulit mengukur capaian siswa secara komprehensif. Sementara itu, Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut fleksibilitas, kemandirian sekolah, dan inovasi evaluasi holistik. Keterbatasan jam pelajaran menjadi hambatan mendalami materi, diperlukan optimalisasi waktu, integrasi nilai Islam dengan mata pelajaran lain, bahan ajar terpadu, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Penelitian ini berimplikasi mendorong strategi adaptif pembelajaran agama yang relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa dan perkembangan zaman. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran, Kurikulum, Pendidikan Agama Islam

Abstract

Teachers are a central element in the implementation of education and play a strategic role in shaping the quality of human resources, particularly amid the challenges of the digital era and globalization. Teacher professionalism is not only demanded in terms of pedagogical competence but also in ethical commitment, moral responsibility, and a strategic role in shaping students’ character. This study aims to analyze the essence of the teaching profession from normative and conceptual perspectives, examine the position of teachers as strategic agents of national education, and explore teacher professionalism and its multiple roles in the context of contemporary education. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach by analyzing normative, conceptual, and regulatory sources relevant to the teaching profession. The findings indicate that professional teachers possess strong juridical and conceptual foundations, and within the perspective of Islamic education, they are understood integratively through their roles as nurturers, instructors, and educators of moral conduct. Teachers do not merely function as transmitters of knowledge but also serve as moral and spiritual guides who play a vital role in shaping character and civilization. In the era of digitalization and globalization, teacher professionalism faces challenges related to technological adaptation and shifts in social values; however, the role of teachers remains irreplaceable in instilling values, ethics, and character in students. This study concludes that strengthening teacher professionalism that is adaptive to contemporary developments and grounded in ethical and moral values is a fundamental prerequisite for the realization of quality, character-based education oriented toward holistic human development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Wahdah Islamiyah in maintaining social diversity and strengthening social cohesion in Bulukumba Regency. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study strategy, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of Wahdah Islamiyah’s da‘wah, educational, and social activities. The findings indicate that Wahdah Islamiyah actively contributes to managing diversity through inclusive community-based da‘wah, the implementation of moderate and integrated Islamic education, and non-discriminatory cross-identity social programs. Although ideologically grounded in the Salafi manhaj, Wahdah Islamiyah’s socio-religious practices in Bulukumba are adaptive, persuasive, and context-sensitive, enabling the organization to build bridging social capital and function as a civil Islam actor at the local level. The study concludes that Wahdah Islamiyah plays a significant role in fostering harmony and social cohesion within a plural society, despite facing internal challenges related to cadres’ limited capacity in pluralism issues and external challenges in the form of persistent conservative stigma. [Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Wahdah Islamiyah dalam menjaga keberagaman dan memperkuat kohesi sosial masyarakat di Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus, melalui pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap aktivitas dakwah, pendidikan, dan sosial Wahdah Islamiyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah berperan aktif dalam merawat keberagaman melalui dakwah inklusif berbasis komunitas, pengelolaan pendidikan Islam yang moderat dan terintegrasi, serta program sosial lintas identitas yang bersifat non-diskriminatif. Meskipun berlandaskan manhaj salafi, praktik sosial-keagamaan Wahdah Islamiyah di Bulukumba bersifat adaptif, persuasif, dan kontekstual, sehingga mampu membangun bridging social capital dan berfungsi sebagai aktor civil Islam di tingkat lokal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam membangun harmoni dan kohesi sosial di tengah masyarakat plural, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan internal berupa keterbatasan kapasitas kader dalam isu pluralisme serta tantangan eksternal berupa stigma konservatisme. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan literasi pluralisme dan perluasan kajian komparatif pada konteks wilayah lain.]
