Abstract

Indonesian people's food has socio-cultural aspects that manifest in food culture. Through a literature review it is known that there is an influence of the natural environment (environmental determinism) on the food culture of the Indonesian people, including food ingredients, food processing, food consumption, to the triad of food. In West Indonesia, Central Indonesia, and East Indonesia, there is the triad of food or a tendency for the same trinity of food ingredients, namely 1) fish which represents meat, 2) coconut which appears in coconut milk oil emulsion, and 3) chili which is presented in chili shape. The tropical and hot equatorial natural environment encourages the use of these three ingredients, both to support the preservation of food and to support the body's resistance.

Abstract

This study examines the iconography of the Karivarada Gajendra Moksa Statue located in Brokoh Village, Batang Regency, within the context of the local Muslim community. The statue represents Lord Vishnu rescuing Gajendra the Elephant, symbolizing the liberation of the soul bound by worldly life. Brokoh Village, whose population is predominantly Muslim, demonstrates an intriguing engagement with this Hindu statue as part of the local cultural heritage. This study employs a qualitative method with an iconographic approach, incorporating field observations, literature reviews, and ethnographic interviews with the local community. The findings reveal that the residents of Brokoh generally regard the statue as a historical monument rather than a religious object. The community’s neutral response to the statue reflects a strong sense of cultural tolerance. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the integration of Hindu symbolism into Muslim communities, while enriching the discourse on the preservation of interreligious cultural heritage in Indonesia. The Karivarada Gajendra Moksa Statue in Brokoh Village stands as an important example of how religious symbols from the past can coexist within a predominantly Muslim society, not creating social tension but instead enriching the local cultural identity.

Abstract

Warehouse inventory management that is still done manually at PT. XYZ causes various problems such as stock discrepancies, slow delivery processes, and data loss. To overcome these problems, the company plans to develop a web-based warehouse management system or commonly called the Warehouse Management System. In the system design process, the implementation of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) is an important aspect so that the application can be used effectively and efficiently by users. Figma is used as a tool in designing an interactive and collaborative interface. The Design Thinking approach is applied to explore user needs in depth through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. System evaluation is carried out using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to ensure user comfort, effectiveness, and satisfaction with the prototype developed. The results of the usability test produced an Excellent score of 80.5. This proves that a well-designed UI/UX can bridge technology and user needs effectively.
