Abstract

The mangrove area in Wonorejo is quite large and water sources from various areas have the potential to be sources of chromium. One of the mangrove species in this area is Avicennia marina. Avicennia marina plays an important role in reducing pollution. Based on this, a study was conducted to analyze the chromium content in sediment and roots of mangrove A. marina in the Wonorejo area. This study was descriptive with the stages of exploration, observation, and analysis, namely exploring and observing A. marina, taking samples in the field and analyzing samples in the laboratory. The subjects of this study were the roots and sediments of A. marina taken from two stations with three different points by determining the location using purposive random sampling. The chromium levels in the roots and sediments were tested using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) method. The data on Cr levels in roots and sediments were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics and analyzing the quality of sediments and roots of A. marina in the mangrove ecosystem with safe limit values. The results of this study are: 1) The Cr content in the sediment in the Jagir River was the highest at 1 mg/kg, while in the Afur River the highest was 0.82 mg/kg, 2) The Cr content in the roots of A. marina in the Jagir River is the highest at 2.8 mg/kg, while in the Afur River the highest is 2.5 mg/kg, and 3) The Cr content in the sediment has exceeded the safe threshold of 2.5 mg/kg and the Cr content in the roots has also exceeded the safe threshold of 0.05 mg/kg.

Abstract

Traditional markets are closely related to mathematics learning, as they provide a relevant environment for applying various mathematical concepts in a practical manner. In the field of education, various technology-based learning media have been developed, one of which is Virtual Reality (VR). This study aims to enhance students' interest in learning through Virtual Reality-based learning media featuring traditional market content applied in mathematics instruction. This research follows a Research and Development (RnD) approach using the 4D development model, which consists of four main stages: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate. During the development process, the researchers utilized expert validation instruments and student questionnaires. The study population consisted of fifth-grade students at SDN Kebonagung I Sukodono, Sidoarjo, with a research sample of three students. The findings indicate that media validation by experts was categorized as "Excellent," material validation was rated as "Good," and language validation was also categorized as "Excellent." Additionally, the results from student questionnaires collected during field trials were classified as "Excellent". The study concludes that the developed Virtual Reality-based learning media received positive responses. This was evident from students' enthusiasm in engaging with the media, attentively participating in classroom learning, actively contributing, and comprehending the material presented through VR. Consequently, the learning process becomes more engaging and interactive for students.

Abstract

The fisheries and marine sector in East Java has abundant potential, one of which is Banyuwangi district. Banyuwangi Regency has potential in freshwater aquaculture because it has 324 rivers with an area of 735 km2 and swamps and reservoirs of 60 hectares. One of the villages in Banyuwangi Regency is Segobang Village, which has the potential to have abundant water sources and continuous flow. This potential can be utilized by training and assisting fish nurseries in Segobang Village by utilizing continuously flowing water and Smart Aquaculture Automatized System (SAAS) technology by utilizing biofilters and running water and aeration as a source of oxygen.  The stages carried out in this community service are as follows: initial assessment of the location, infrastructure and technology development, periodic training and mentoring, implementation and monitoring of the cultivation process, and continued marketing and sales. After the training, the Segobang Village community showed a significant increase in knowledge. The average pre-test scores ranged from 30 to 51, while the post-test scores increased to 79 to 87. This improvement shows that participants better understand the SAAS and its use in fish farming. Continued training and practice can help strengthen the adoption of this technology in the community.

Abstract

Salah satu kajian dari bidang ilmu semantik adalah mengenai jenis makna dan salah satunya adalah jenis makna asosiatif atau makna asosiasi. Penelitian ini akan mendeskripsikan bagaimana masyarakat Melayu di Kabupaten Batu Bara memilih kata-kata serta mengasosiasikan secara tersirat kata-kata tersebut dengan benda dii luar bahasa kemudian dirangkai sedemikian rupa sehingga membentuk bait-bait pantun dan kemudian digunakan untuk  menyampaikan maksud dan tujuan dalam acara  merisik pada upacara adat perkawinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan bentuk penelittiannya adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pantun dalam acara merisik. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah buku dan datanya adalah data tertulis. Pemerolehan data dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan buku yang berkaitan dengan pantun merisik. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik transkripsi, klasifikasi data dan analisis data dan terakhir dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh menemukan tiga aspek makna asosiasi yang dipakai yaitu asosiasi tinggi, asosiasi berat, asosiasi besar, asosiasi keterbukaan dan ketegasan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi menuntut adanya perubahan dari situasi manual menuju era digitalisasi termasuk penulisan sitasi dan bibiliografi. Hasil observasi tim PPM program studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya di SMK Negeri 1 Jetis Mojokerto diperoleh informasi bahwa dalam menuliskan bibliografi, masih dilakukan para guru secara manual. Akibatnya (1) ada beberapa rujukan yang terlupakan oleh penulis, (2) rujukan yang tidak tercantum dalam daftar referensi, dan (3) penyesuaian tata penulisan rujukan tidak sesuai jurnal yang dituju. Solusi yang ditawarkan oleh tim PPM program studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya yaitu memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan tentang manajemen referensi serta mendampingi para guru untuk mempraktikkan penggunaan Mendeley dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan ini diikuti 22 guru mengingat masih adanya Covid-19 yang mewajibkan adanya pembatasan kegiatan di dalam ruangan. Target capaian yang diharapkan dari pelatihan ini yaitu pengetahuan baru tentang manajemen referensi dan keterampilan para guru terkait penggunaan manajemen referensi Mendeley saat penulisan artikel ilmiah di jurnal ilmiah nasional. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pada para guru di SMK Negeri 1 Jetis Mojokerto. Hasil capaian kegiatan ini adanya pengetahuan baru yang dimiliki para guru tentang manajemen referensi diantaranya Mendeley, EndNote, dan zotero. Selain itu, para guru telah mampu mengaplikasikan penggunaan Mendeley dalam menuliskan artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan template jurnal yang dituju.

Abstract

Abstract: The mistake in problem-solving indicates the presence of the cognitive structure parts, which are problematic. One of the causes is thinking structures that need to be better organized and connected or experience cognitive mistakes. This study aims to describe students' thinking structure mistakes in solving PISA questions and the efforts to correct these mistakes through defragmenting thinking structures. This study uses a qualitative approach. This study uses a qualitative approach, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of the study, the mistakes of the students' thinking structures in problem-solving to finish the PISA questions were experienced by all subjects, including students misunderstanding the problem, mistakes in devising a finishing plan, carrying out a finishing plan, and rechecking process. These mistakes are influenced by several reasons, including the need for literacy skills in reading the meaning of the questions, not focusing on essential instructions on the questions, mastery of understanding the concept of prerequisite material, mistakes in operating, and the structured and analysis errors. The defragmenting process is carried out to correct students' thinking structure mistakes in problem-solving through intervention processes including scaffolding-review, scaffolding-restructuring, scaffolding-explaining, cognitive conflict, and dis-equilibration. Keywords: defragmenting, problem, question, structure, solving, thinking Abstrak: Kesalahan dalam pemecahan masalah menunjukkan adanya bagian-bagian struktur kognitif yang bermasalah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah struktur berpikir yang perlu ditata dan terhubung dengan baik atau mengalami kesalahan berpikir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan struktur berpikir siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA dan upaya memperbaiki kesalahan tersebut melalui defragmentasi struktur berpikir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun pendekatan kualitatif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kesalahan struktur berpikir siswa dalam pemecahan masalah hingga menyelesaikan soal PISA dialami oleh semua mata pelajaran, antara lain siswa salah memahami soal, kesalahan menyusun rencana penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, dan proses pengecekan ulang. Kesalahan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal, antara lain perlunya kemampuan literasi dalam membaca makna soal, tidak fokus pada petunjuk esensial soal, penguasaan pemahaman konsep materi prasyarat, kesalahan pengoperasian, serta kesalahan terstruktur dan analisis. Abstract

AbstractThe Hajj pilgrimage is a duty of humans to Allah, specifically for those who are capable (istita'ah) of traveling to the Kaaba. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between mental health and istita'ah among elderly Hajj pilgrims in Boyolali Regency. This research used a descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional, using secondary data from Siskohatkes. The study employed purposive sampling, with a sample of 209 prospective Hajj pilgrims, based on inclusion criteria. The instruments used were the Self-Reported Questionnaire (SRQ 20) and the istita'ah questionnaire listed in Siskohatkes. Bivariate data analysis was conducted using the Kendall Tau test. The study results showed that 6 (2.9%) respondents were categorized as not meeting the health istita'ah for Hajj and 4 (1.9%) respondents had mental disorders. The study indicated an r-value of 0.813 and a p-value of 0.000, meaning there was a positive relationship between mental health and istita'ah among elderly Hajj pilgrims with high strength, and there was a significant relationship between mental health and istita'ah among elderly Hajj pilgrims in Boyolali Regency. To ensure that elderly prospective Hajj pilgrims maintain their mental health and health istita'ah status, it is recommended that they will deepen their religious education and spiritual preparation, keep their physical health by exercising regularly according to their abilities, maintain a healthy diet, get enough rest, undergo regular health check-ups, and maintain a positive mental attitude and motivation to stay healthy.

Abstract

This study aims to produce learning modules for informatics learning modules for the 10th grade that are appropriate to the Independent Curriculum and make it easier for teachers to present teaching material and make it easier for students to learn. The model which was used in this development was the Dick and Carey development model. The results of this development research are in the form of a learning module for informatics, which is designed systematically, operationally, in a directed manner and completed by some guides for teachers on how to use the language that the speakers easily understand. In the development process to obtain products that are appropriate with the objectives, validation is carried out by material experts, design experts, colleagues, and student responses. The results of validation by material experts obtained a total score of 161 percentage 87% worthy category, design experts obtained a total score of 138 with a percentage of 89% worthy category, while colleagues obtained a total score of 63 percentage 90% very worthy in the category.The test was carried out three times, the first on the individual test obtained an average total score of 34.33 percentage 86% worthy category, the second small group test obtained an average total score of 68 percent 91% very worthy in the category, and the three large group tests obtained average score 69.53 percentage 93% very decent category.Thus, when the product is developed it was concluded that the learning module was very worthy to use in learning Informatics subjects.

Abstract

Exploring Moderating Role of Organizational Learning in Enhancing Adaptability to Change Through Resilience and Digital Capabilities. Objective: To determine the effect of final year student resilience and digital capabilities on adaptability to change for technology advancement which is moderated by organizational learning. Method: This research was done using a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population were final-year students from various faculties at a public university, the sample tehnique was random sampling and the number of selected samples was 300 respondents. Questionnaires were used to collect data from research participants. The data were analyzed using moderate regression analysis (MRA) using SPSS. Findings: Resilience has a positive and significant effect on adaptability to change, digital capabilities have a positive and significant effect on adaptability to change. Organizational learning moderates the influence of resilience on adaptability to change. Furthermore, the organizational learning also moderates the effect of digital capabilities on adaptability to change. Conclusion: These findings imply that HEI prioritize programs that bolster students' resilience and digital skills to improve adaptability to change. Abstract

The purpose of this service program is to assist teachers in compiling and making scientific papers, especially PTK. The targets of the 2020-2021 Odd Semester Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM) Activities carried out by the Lecturer Team of the Mathematics Education Study Program of the Faculty of Science Technology are all teachers at SMAN 1 Dawarblandong, Mojokerto Regency. There are three stages in the implementation of the Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, namely the planning stage, the socialization stage, and the implementation stage. The three stages of implementing the PTK were carried out on August 18 to September 11 2020. This PPM activity was attended by all 53 teachers of SMAN 1 Dawarblandong, Mojokerto Regency. The implementation of the Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat activities by the Mathematics Education Lecturer team at the PGRI Adi Buana University Surabaya went smoothly. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in every scheduled activity. The obstacle faced during the implementation was the lack of internet bandwidth because all the teachers and resource persons used the school's internet network, but this did not dampen the participants' interest in following the activity properly and until it was finished. The conclusion that can be conveyed from the results of the Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM) is that the activity runs smoothly despite several obstacles. The first activity is explaining the basic concepts of the PTK, writing the PTK proposal, and the activities of the PTK, the second activity is the writing of the PTK Final Report, and the third activity is the Writing of the PTK Scientific Articles.
