Abstract

This Thematic Student Community Service (KKNT) program focuses on enhancing the ecological awareness of the community in RT 23 RW 04, Pematang Gubernur Village, regarding household waste management. The lack of understanding of the long-term impact of inorganic waste is the primary urgency for conducting this educational intervention. The method applied is based on participatory empowerment, which includes field observations, dialogues with local neighborhood leaders, and the installation of educational signs containing scientific information on waste decomposition time. The results of this service show that the use of static visual media in public spaces effectively stimulates residents to be more prudent in managing waste. This initiative has successfully transformed the community's mindset in perceiving the urgency of environmental cleanliness as a collective responsibility for the sustainability of the local ecosystem.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) is a social problem that persists frequently in society, particularly against women and children. Lack of understanding of the law and protection of victims of domestic violence leads to many cases going unreported and continuing to recur. This DV legal outreach activity aimed to increase the understanding of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) women in RT 16 RW 05, Sawah Lebar Village, regarding the forms of domestic violence, their impacts, and legal protection mechanisms under Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence. The implementation method included counseling, interactive discussions, and a question-and-answer session. The results demonstrated increased knowledge and awareness among participants regarding the importance of preventing and reporting domestic violence to create harmonious and safe families.
