Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is a critical developmental stage often accompanied by psychological challenges, with anxiety being one of the most prevalent mental health issues among young people. Limited awareness and ineffective learning strategies contribute to poor understanding of anxiety, particularly among adolescent girls. This study aimed to examine the effect of e-book media on improving knowledge about anxiety and mental health among adolescent girls. Methods: A pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted among 62 female students at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Salaka, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire assessing knowledge of anxiety before and after the intervention. The educational e-book contained comprehensive information on the definition, causes, symptoms, prevention, and coping strategies related to anxiety. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with SPSS version 29.0. Results: Before the intervention, 54.8% of respondents demonstrated low knowledge, while 4.8% had high knowledge. After exposure to the e-book, 74.2% reached the high knowledge level, and none remained in the low category. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest results (Z = -6.997, p = 0.000 < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of e-book media in enhancing mental health knowledge. Conclusion: E-book media proved to be an effective and innovative educational tool for improving adolescents’ understanding of anxiety and mental health. Integrating digital learning materials into school-based programs can promote mental health literacy and support early prevention among youth populations.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of supervisor supervision and teacher competence on the quality of learning at Junior High Schools (SMP) throughout Liukang Tangaya District, Pangkep Regency. Specifically, this study aims to reveal the extent of the partial influence of supervisor supervision, the partial influence of teacher competence, and the simultaneous influence of both variables on learning quality in a remote archipelago region. The focus of this research is to address educational challenges in areas characterized by geographical accessibility constraints and limited resources. The research methodology employed is a quantitative research design with a survey approach. The research population consists of all junior high school teachers in Liukang Tangaya District, totaling 140 individuals, with a research sample of 42 teachers selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires using a Likert scale, in-depth interviews with principals and teachers, and documentation studies. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis performed with SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that both supervisor supervision and teacher competence have a positive and significant influence on the quality of learning. Partially, the supervisor supervision variable contributes significantly (tcount 5.080 t table 2.021), while the teacher competence variable exerts a more dominant influence (t count 6.870 t table 2.021). Simultaneously, these two variables have a very strong influence of 96.4% on the quality of learning (R2 = 0.964), while the remaining 3.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings confirm that the synergy between professional guidance by supervisors and the strengthening of educator competence is the primary key to maintaining educational quality in disadvantaged areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of teacher performance supervision at SDN 11 Pasui, Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency. The primary focus of this research is to evaluate the methods and approaches used in supervision, as well as to identify the impact of the process on teacher competence, professionalism, and the quality of learning. Furthermore, this study also aims to explore various supporting and inhibiting factors and to formulate strategic recommendations to optimize the supervision system at the school. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through triangulation techniques, including participatory observation of the learning process and supervision interactions, in- depth interviews with key informants (Principal, Teachers, and School Supervisors), and documentation studies of supervision plans and reports. Data analysis was carried out inductively using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which consists of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of supervision at SDN 11 Pasui has transformed from a mere administrative formality into a systematic, humanistic, and collaborative professional development process. Supervision is conducted routinely through pre-observation, observation, and post-observation stages, with a primary focus on improving pedagogical competencies such as subject matter mastery and classroom management. Despite obstacles such as time constraints and administrative burdens, the application of coaching strategies and reflective dialogue has proven effective in significantly increasing motivation, self-reflection abilities, and the quality of teacher instruction.

Abstract

In the review of Islamic legal, Prophet Muhammad’s politics is an exciting theme to be studied more deeply. The Prophet Muhammad SAW was referred to as Ummī (illiterate), reinforcing the notion that the Prophet was not intelligent and capable. A qualitative method was conducted to prove how the Ummī Prophet was smart, trustworthy, full of wisdom, respected, and legally competent. In some of the legal provisions, Prophet PBUH presented a solution to the ilā ākhīr al-zamān, where the concept of social justice in upholding human rights was aggressively debated. Several requirements of the Prophet Muhammad’s sunnah, which obliged males to defend women and their rights, was established fourteen centuries ago. Likewise, the concept of tolerance and interfaith relations have been initiated. In addition to being a historical leader, the Prophet was once a judge in an infidel dispute and was regarded as a knowledgeable communal figure. Prophet SAW was given the authority to establish new laws for specific issues through sunnah on matters not determined by their legal provisions in the Qur’an.
