Abstract

Introduction: Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a health problem that is still a health emergency in the world and causes mental health crisis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the mental health crisis of COVID-19 infection on the island of Java.Methods: A cross sectional study between June-July 2020 in Java Island, Indonesia with 1.218 respondents selected using convenience sampling. The independent variable were demographic, individual internal, psychological factors and the dependent was mental health crisis. Data was measured by demographic information, knowledge and attitude questionnaires, depression anxiety stress score, the brief 28-item COPE Inventory, questionnaire on problem faces and crisis mental health emergencies. Analysis data is conducted by chi square and multivariate logistic regression.Results: The relation of demographic, individual internal and psychological factors were significant to crisis mental health and P <0.05. After adjusted with logistic regression, psychological factors have more significant relation and the highest relation was found in stress level with P = 0.000 and CI 95% was 1.064 – 2.131.Conclusion: The contributing factor that has the strongest relationship with a mental health crisis is the level of stress that people experience. The biggest contribution that causes disruption of psychologic conditions and mental health is psychological factors, which include levels of anxiety, stress, coping mechanisms and problems faced.

Abstract

Organizational culture, as outlined in hospital policies regarding the culture of patient safety, should shape the caring behavior of health workers, especially nurses. Changes in the behavior of operating room nurses in the prevention of Surgical Site Infections (SSI) developed through organizational culture are unknown. The study aimed to explain the characteristics of organizational culture among in operating room. This study used a Cross-sectional descriptive to obtain the data of the characteristics of organizational culture in operating room nurses. We recruited 115 nurses in operating by using purposive sampling. The results showed the characteristic of organization culture-based, including 45.22% of the innovation and risk-taking was categorized as insufficient. Only 32.17% of participants have detail attention compared to the other two categories, and the orientation of the organization culture-based was 49.96%. Organizational culture of innovation and risk-taking, attention, and results orientation can improve the performance of nurses in the operating room and improve health services.

Abstract

Introduction: The development of cases of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Pati Regency which is increasing every day causes anxiety in nurses. The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors that influence the anxiety level of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic.Method: The research design used was descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 55 respondents, taken according to the inclusion criteria and sampling using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The inclusion criteria in this study were nurses who worked in room units that did not treat Covid-19 patients and were cooperative at RSUD Kayen Pati. The independent variables in this study were perceptions of risk, workload as well as information and training. The dependent variable in this study was the level of anxiety of nurses. The instrument used for the perception of risk as well as information and training was a questionnaire from Gershon et al (1995), for the workload instrument using a questionnaire from  Nursalam (2016) while for anxiety instruments using a Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) 42 questionnaire. Analysis using a test Logistics Regression statistic with significance level p<0.05.Results: The results showed that there was an influence between information and training (0.000), workload (0.000) and perceptions of risk (0.001) with nurses' anxiety levels during the Covid-19 pandemic. The most dominant factor giving the relationship between nurses' anxiety levels during the Covid-19 pandemic was information and training.Conclusion: Information and training factors, workload and perceptions of risk have an influence on nurses' anxiety levels during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Introduction: Patient Safety Incident Report hereinafter referred to as incident reporting, is a system of documenting patient safety incident reports, analyzing and obtaining recommendations and solutions from the health care facility patient safety team. This study aims to analyze the factors of work experience, education, perceptions, attitudes, motivation, leadership towards reporting patient safety incidents to nurses in the inpatient room of Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johannes Kupang.Method: The design of this study was cross-sectional. The sample size of the study was 143 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The dependent variable is the reporting of patient safety incidents, while the independent variables are work experience, education, perception, attitude, motivation,  leadership. Data were collected using a questionnaire and observation on nurses. Data were then analyzed using multiple logistic regression with a significant value < 0.05.Results:  The results show that there is a perception effect on patient safety incident reporting (p = 0.05) and leadership influence on patient safety incident reporting (p = 0.02).Conclusion: The concludes is that there is an influence of perception and leadership on reporting patient safety incidents. Further researchers are advised to research the effect of training on improving patient safety incident reporting.

Abstract

Introduction:Patients with HIV-AIDS experience various problems, one of which is related to financial factors and access to health services, this will also affect the patient's quality of life. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between financial factors and access to health services.Method:This was a cross-sectional study with a sample size of 101 respondents who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is income and access to services, while the dependent variable in this study is quality of life. The instrument used was a demographic questionnaire and Health-Related Quality of Life, the data were analyzed using chi square with a significance level of p <0.05.Results:The results showed that there was a significant relationship between income (p = 0.044) and the availability of infrastructure (p = 0.003) with the quality of life of HIV-AIDS patients.Conclusion:The financial and access to healthcare factors  are related to the quality of life of clients with HIV-AIDS, so that patients with good quality of life will show that the level of fulfillment of needs and access to health services is also good.

Abstract

Introduction: Adherence in ARV therapy is an important mechanism in preventing drug resistance. The level of adherence is influenced by several factors, one of which is the information skills factor. This study aims to analyze the relationship between information skills and ARV adherence in People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).Method: This was a cross-sectional approach with a sample size of 100 respondents who were selected through simple random sampling technique. The inclusion criteria for respondents were PLWHA who were undergoing ARV therapy, cooperative, aged 20-60 years. The instrument used was information skills questionnaire and Medical Adherence Rating Scale (MARS). The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and logistic regression test with p value ≤ 0.05.Results: Information skills were  associated with ARV adherence (p = 0.01). Information skills consisting of knowledge about HIV/AIDS and ARV therapy can increase ARV adherence in PLWHA with indicators taking drugs regularly and have medical control on schedule.Conclusions: The information skills factor has an effect on ARV adherence. Increasing information skills can be done through educational activities or peer-group support aimed at gaining insight into disease and treatment, especially for newly diagnosed PLWHA.

Abstract

Introduction: the performance of nurses is closely related to organizations and individuals who greatly influence the quality of health services in hospitals. Therefore, improving the performance of nurses through leadership needs to be considered. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between leadership with the performance of nurses in hospital.Method: the design of the study was descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional approach.  The sample size of 205 respondents who were selected through simple random sampling technique. The inclusion criteria for respondents were nurse who were implementing nurse, working more than one year, and providing nursing care. The independent variable was the leadership, and the dependent variable was the performance of nurses. The instruments used were the situational leadership questionnaire questionnaire for leadership and the observation sheet: nursing documentation questionnaire for performance of nurse’s questionnaire. The data analysed using descriptive analysis and logistic regression test with a significance value of p ≤ 0.05.Results:  the results showed that the leadership was significantly related to the performance of nurses in hospitals (p = 0.000). The most influential leadership is the democratic leadership. The democratic leadership is mostly owned by nurses with good performance.Conclusion: the leadership of the head of the room with a democratic style can improve the performance of nurses in hospitals by respecting their nature and abilities, encouraging staff to develop, and involving staff in decision making. So that health services in the hospital will be optimal.

Abstract

Introduction: Concern for good psychological condition of nurse regarding workload and social support in every job they do is an effective strategy to increase nurse job satisfaction. Nurse job satisfaction is important for the creation of better nurse performance. The purpose of the study was to explain the relationship between workload and social support with nurse job satisfaction in the inpatient room of RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo.Method: The study used a descriptive correlational design with a cross sectional approach. The study population was 164 nurses in the inpatient room of RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo. The sample size of 116 respondents was obtained by using cluster random sampling technique. The independent variables are workload and social support, while the dependent variable is nurse job satisfaction. The instruments used are workload questionnaire, social support questionnaire, and nurse job satisfaction questionnaire. Data analysis were used descriptive test and logistic regression test with a significant value of p ≤ 0.05.Results: There was a relationship between workload (p=0.000), social support (p=0,003), instrumental support (p=0.003), informational support (p=0.020), emotional support (p=0.004), appceciation support (p=0.019) with nurse job satisfaction.Conclusions: The light workload is characterized by a balance between the number of nurses and the demands of the existing task and good social support (instrumental support, informational support, emotional support, appreciation support), that nurses feel cared for and appreciated, can increase nurse job satisfaction. So that the performance of nurses increases and creates professional nursing services.

Abstract

AbstractPatients with hypertension were mostly found to have low levels of healthy lifestyle compliance. Patients with hypertension are required to get health counseling in order to adhere to a healthy lifestyle in order to control blood pressure and prevent complications. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of external factors (affordability of health services, support of health workers and family support) on the physical activity of hypertensive patients. The design of the research is descriptive correlational with a cross sectional approach. The large sample sampled 145 hypertensive patients. Data collection is done using questionnaires. Data analysis using bivariate tests obtained results of health service affordability (p=0.009), health care worker support (p=0.021) and family support (p=0.012) to the physical activity of hypertensive patients. The results of this study can help the puskesmas in identifying lifestyle compliance of hypertensive patients and help patients in understanding treatment regimens to improve lifestyle compliance.

Abstract

Penerimaan masyarakat terhadap Vaksin Covid-19 merupakan mekanisme penting untuk mencegah tertularnya Covid-19. Berbagai faktor pencetus yang menyebabkan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap vaksin Covid-19, namun faktor utama penerimaan ini sampai saat ini belum diketahui secara pasti. Sistematika review ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mensintesis tentang Faktor Penerimaan Vaksin Covid 19 Pada Orang Dewasa. Literatur review ini melalui penelusuran hasil penelitian dalam bentuk artikel full-text dari data base jurnal bereputasi yaitu : Scopus, Science Direct dan Springer Link pada publikasi 3 tahun terakhir yaitu tahun 2018-2021. Analisis data menggunakan kerangka kerja PICOS dan diagram Flow PRISMA. Faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan masyarakat untuk melakukan vaksinasi terdiri dari: Pengetahuan dan Pendidikan, kepercayaan dan agama, Jenis kelamin, usia dan Tingkat pendapatan (ekonomi), Tujuan melakukan vaksin, dan keraguan terhadap vaksin.
