Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on all aspects of people's lives. Even so, the Indonesian people have proven resilience and empowerment in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The existence of the internet and digital media has encouraged the emergence of digital social action and digital social solidarity. Therefore, this study aims to determine social action and social solidarity within the scope of community empowerment in the digital era as it is today. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results of the study show that the Covid-19 pandemic has led to social actions where Indonesian people work together, collaborate, and show solidarity in helping others. Where this social action and social solidarity, although it arises in the digital dimension, in fact this movement has produced great benefits in terms of empowering the affected community in terms of the social economy and culture, and is still surviving to this day.

Abstract

Waste management in Pekanbaru City is a classic problem that has not been resolved because of the behavior or public awareness that is still lacking in environmental cleanliness. This waste generally comes from the activities of residents who litter, both organic and inorganic waste in the form of drink bottles, plastic food boxes, and other plastic materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of housewives in Pekanbaru City in dealing with waste problems. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross sectional research design. The results showed that in general the role of housewives in handling waste in the village of Kampung Baru, Senapelan district, Pekanbaru City, it can be seen that most housewives behave badly in waste management, namely 47 housewives (52.8%), good knowledge of about 71 housewives (79.8%), positive attitude as many as 81 housewives (91.0%), inadequate infrastructure facilities as many as 62 housewives (69.7%), local regulations are not implemented as many as 50 housewives (56.2%).

Abstract

Cisaat Tourism Village's community empowerment is one way the village and government are helping locals make the most of their natural and human resources in order to better manage the tourism potential already present in the area. The purpose of this research is to detail how the growth of the Cisaat tourism village in Subang Regency, West Java, has facilitated a model of local community empowerment. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. From the research, the community empowerment program in Cisaat village, Subang Regency, in general, has been going well, marked by the fulfillment of three aspects, namely the reach of access to empowerment, the level of community participation and supervision of tourist villages. This empowerment has been proven to provide benefits in improving the economy of rural communities, improving village development and increasing the human resources of local communities. There are obstacles faced in empowering the community, including the geographical condition of Cisaat Village which is prone to disasters, uneven human resource capacity and lack of concern for the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Corporate social responsibility is an obligation that must be fulfilled by every company so that it can have a good impact on the community in the surrounding environment, PT Syams Arief Shumun is a subsidiary engaged in the processing of oil palm and natural resource processing in Kampar Regency. This company has 3 community-based CSR programs, first, Economic Empowerment. Second, Environmental Empowerment and Third, Social Empowerment. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and data collection through observation, interviews and literature studies related to CSR and community empowerment, informant determination techniques through purposive sampling and data analysis using data triangulation.

Abstract

Learning activities can be disrupted due to students' dependence on social media because more time is used to access social media than studying and to support the lifestyle of teenagers in general. This study aims to determine the effect of social media on the lifestyle of adolescents among young students in the city of Bandung. The method used is a survey with a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study show that the use of social media has a positive and significant influence on the lifestyle of adolescents in the city of Bandung by 43%. The practical implication of this research is the importance of socialization about the healthy and wise use of social media for adolescents.

Abstract

It is impossible to live in a society without encountering the phenomenon of conflict. The agrarian dispute that took place in Mekarjaya Village, which is located in Kertajati District, Majalengka Regency, was one of the conflicts that took place in the village. This conflict arose as a result of the local community and Perum Perhutani having opposing goals and objectives in relation to the use of the land. Several parties on both sides of this agrarian conflict are attempting to resolve their differences through mediation in order to bring an end to the fighting. In this investigation, qualitative research approaches are utilized, and literature reviews serve as a means for data collecting. Gathered data then undergoes processing, which is broken down into three distinct phases: data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. Mekarjaya Village in Kertajati District, Majalengka Regency, is putting forth an effort to end agrarian disputes as a direct result of this study. To be more specific, these initiatives involve reaching a new agreement among locals by enabling farmers to engage in agricultural operations on forestry land, however only with certain kinds of plants like rubber plants and eucalyptus plants. In order to preserve the local ecosystem, these plants are strictly regulated.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that cause poverty in Padasari Village, Cimalaka District, and Sumedang Regency, separately or simultaneously. This research uses quantitative methods with multiple descriptive and linear approaches. Determination of the sample in this study using the Slovin model. Data processing techniques are carried out through validity and reliability tests. Data were analyzed using the SPSS application. The results of the study show that if not adequately managed, natural resources can have a negative impact on poverty levels, human resources involve the quality and quantity of a region's workforce, and human resources who do not have access to education, skills, and training will be difficult for them to obtain welfare.

Abstract

This research aims to identify strategies that can help socially and economically vulnerable women to escape poverty. Through a qualitative approach, with a descriptive method to analyze vulnerable social and economic conditions. This research uses qualitative methods through literature study. The stages of this research were carried out by gathering literary sources obtained from various books, journals, program documents, activity reports, thesis and dissertation research results, as well as online news sources from the internet which were considered relevant and credible to become the source of data in this research. Data analysis technique use the content analysis method. The research results show that there are several effective strategies in helping vulnerable women escape poverty , such as building skills and education, strengthening social networks, and utilizing available local resources. However, this study also found several obstacles in implementing this strategy, such as a lack of access to resources and difficulties in accessing social services. This research makes an important contribution to efforts to improve the welfare of women who are socially and economically vulnerable, as well as provide recommendations for policies that are more inclusive and pro-vulnerable.

Abstract

Indonesia is highly susceptible to a variety of natural and man-made disasters, including earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, droughts, forest fires, flooding, and landslides. The central government and regional administrations have developed numerous disaster management policies, including earthquake disaster management policies. This study's objective is to assess the efficacy of Indonesia's earthquake management policies. This study employed a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach. The results of the study indicate that Indonesia's seismic disaster management policies have been comprehensively and systematically formulated through Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management and its derivatives. Government Regulation Number 21 of 2008 Regarding Disaster Management Implementation. At the stage of implementing earthquake disaster management policies in Indonesia, in general, it has been running effectively. This can be measured from indicators of effective communication, availability of resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. However, even though it has been running effectively, improvements are still needed, such as in terms of information, infrastructure, budget, coordination between the central and regional governments. From this study it can be concluded that to increase the effectiveness of earthquake management policies, the government can increase access to information, infrastructure and resources for earthquake disaster management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in accounting education in the digital era. This research was conducted using qualitative methods, by collecting data through in-depth interviews and observations of Accounting teachers who teach at SMK. The results of the study show that there are three ICTs that are most widely used by accounting teachers. Namely spreadsheet software such as MS Excel, learning-based computer laboratories, and word software such as MS Word while the most rare is teleconference based learning. ICT has a significant role in improving the quality of accounting education in the digital era. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can help increase the efficiency and effectiveness of education, increase student participation and involvement, and help teachers develop learning materials that are more interesting and interactive. There are several challenges faced in implementing information technology in accounting education, such as a lack of understanding of information technology by teachers and students, as well as limited accessibility of information technology in several regionsĀ
