Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of differentiated learning strategies in science and science learning in elementary schools. The place of this research is SDN 42/IV Jambi City. The subjects of this research were school principals, teachers, and students. The method used is qualitative, with a qualitative phenomenological approach and data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis uses the Milles and Huberman approach: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Testing the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. The research results show that implementing differentiated learning strategies in science and science learning in elementary schools begins at the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Implementing differentiated learning in science and science learning in elementary schools has been carried out well by paying attention to differentiated elements. Collaboration between various parties continues to be sought to create quality learning and facilitate students to learn according to their readiness, interests, and learning profiles.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of concentration and interest in learning on student learning outcomes in Mathematics learning in class IV of Rengas Condong 13/I State Elementary School. Quantitative research methods (ex post facto) and purposive sampling techniques are the sampling techniques used by researchers, with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaire instruments. The research results explain: 1) the partial test results of X1 against Y found tcount > ttable, namely 5.297 > 2.086 and the Sig value 0.000 < 0.05 with a percentage of 58.4% (moderate category); 2) the partial test results of X2 against Y found tcount > ttable, namely 5.409 > 2.086 and the Sig value 0.000 < 0.05 with a percentage of 59.4% (moderate category); 3) the results of the simultaneous test X1 and X2 againts Y ound that Fcount > Ftable, namely 19.917 > 3.522 and the Sig value 0.000 < 0.05 with a percentage of 67.7% (moderate category). The results of hypothesis testing from this research reveal that concentration and interest in learning influence student learning outcomes in Mathematics learning in class IV SDN 13/I Rengas Condong.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the TPACK-based learning approach on student learning outcomes in elementary schools. This research was conducted at SDN 17/I Rantau Puri in the 2023/2024 school year. The type of pre-experimental research (pre-experiment) with a pre-test post-test one group design research design, namely the research only used one experimental class, and no other class was used as a control class. Data collection techniques were obtained by giving tests to students before and after treatment. The test was carried out by providing instruments in the form of questions on the subject of science. Then, the data was processed to compare learning outcomes between before and after treatment. The results of the study obtained, based on the results of the t-test using SPSS 20 with the paired sample t-test, obtained a calculated t value greater than the t table, namely 9.109> 2.055. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion obtained through this study is that there is a significant influence of the TPACK-based learning approach on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model assisted by audio-visual media in increasing student learning activity in mathematics learning in elementary schools. The research was carried out using classroom action research (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II, where data collection uses observation in the form of teacher and student observations, interviews and documentation. This research uses the Taggart and Kemmis model which consists of 4 stages, namely the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The data in this research were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on the results of research conducted by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by audio-visual media in mathematics learning, it can increase student learning activity. This can be seen from students experiencing increased activeness in learning by paying attention to each indicator of activeness in learning activities seen in each meeting cycle. In cycle I, meeting I was 50% and in meeting II it was 53%, an increase of 3%. In cycle II, meeting I was 86%. In meeting II it was 91%, an increase of 5%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning Model can increase student learning activity in Mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study examines the association between students’ learning interest and their mathematical problem-solving ability in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions. The research employed a quantitative descriptive-correlational design involving 33 seventh-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Merangin. Learning interest was measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and students were categorized into high, moderate, and low interest groups based on mean and standard deviation scores. Problem-solving ability was assessed through three HOTS items representing Bloom’s cognitive levels C4 (analysis), C5 (evaluation), and C6 (creation), evaluated using Polya’s problem-solving indicators. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and comparative analysis across interest categories. The results indicate that students with higher learning interest achieved better performance in problem-solving tasks. However, students’ performance was also influenced by the cognitive complexity of the HOTS items. The findings suggest that learning interest contributes positively to mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe Class IV Teacher Strategies in Implementing the Independent Curriculum in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) Learning in Elementary Schools. The method used is a qualitative approach with a type of phenomenology. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 42/IV Jambi. The data in this research is in the form of a description of the teacher's strategy in implementing the independent curriculum in grade IV science and science subjects in elementary school which was obtained through interview methods and observation as the main data and document study as research supporting data. The research subject was the class IVA teacher at SDN 42/IV Jambi. Data was collected and analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research show that the teacher's strategy at the planning stage is that the teacher creates an open module containing TP and ATP which refer to the CP provided by the center, prepares learning media, LKPD and evaluation instruments and for the implementation stage the teacher applies teaching tools that have been designed and developed In learning activities, it also includes implementing differentiated strategies, creating a conducive classroom environment and conducting learning assessments. In the evaluation stage, the teacher evaluates the strategies that have been used. The research results show that teachers use various strategies in three main stages, namely planning.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the implementation and challenges of integrating LIMASTERS (Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Arts) in early childhood education within the School Mover Program in Jambi City. The research responds to the growing demand for 21st-century learning integration at the preschool level and examines how practices align with the principles of the Independent Curriculum.Design/methods/approach –  A qualitative case study design was applied. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and the principal, and document analysis of lesson plans and children’s work. Data were analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman model of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing.Findings – The study shows that literacy, mathematics, and arts are consistently integrated into daily learning, while science, technology, and engineering remain less developed. Teachers conduct initial assessments to align activities with children’s needs and interests. Key challenges include limited facilities, insufficient time, and teacher competencies. These are partly mitigated through peer collaboration, self-initiated training, and phased implementation.Research implications/limitations – The findings are context-specific and do not address long-term child development outcomes. Nonetheless, they provide valuable insights for designing integrative curricula and teacher training policies in Indonesian ECE (Early Childhood Education).Practical implications – The study offers a practical model for LIMASTERS integration through child-centered exploratory activities that emphasize interactive experiments, scaffolding, and contextualized learning.  Originality/value – This research contributes a holistic framework for balancing literacy and STEAM within early childhood classrooms in a local Indonesian context, highlighting the potential of exploratory and contextual learning to advance curriculum reform.Paper type Case study
