Abstract

The global shift toward sustainable economic models has sparked interest in the potential of Islamic finance to promote ethical and environmentally friendly investments. Indonesia, as the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, has seen significant growth in its Shariah-compliant investment market. This study explores how Islamic law influences the development of sustainable economic models within this market. The research aims to analyze the role of Islamic law in shaping sustainable economic practices in Indonesia’s Shariah-compliant investment market, identifying key drivers, challenges, and opportunities for growth. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining quantitative analysis of investment data from Shariah-compliant funds and qualitative interviews with industry experts, Shariah scholars, and investors. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis for qualitative insights and statistical tools for quantitative data. The findings reveal that Islamic law significantly influences sustainable economic practices by promoting ethical investments, risk-sharing, and environmental stewardship. Shariah-compliant funds in Indonesia increasingly prioritize green investments and social impact projects, aligning with global sustainability goals.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of promotional tendencies on customer value in iB Maslahah Child Savings products at Bank BJB Syariah KCP Padalarang. Promotion is an important aspect in evaluating the company's performance and encouraging increased customer attraction through communication strategies carried out by the company's human resources. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 712 customers and a sample of 90 respondents obtained through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using the SPSS program version 27.0. The results of the study showed that: (1) the results of a simple linear regression analysis showed that every 1% increase in promotions would increase customer value by 0.879 points, with a positive relationship direction; (2) the t-test results show a t-calculated value of 18.220 > t-table 0.2072, which means that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted, or in other words, the promotion has a significant effect on the customer's value; (3) The promotion variable contributes 79% to customer value, while the remaining 21% is influenced by other variables that are not discussed in this study.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed waqf management, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and inclusiveness in community-based economic empowerment. This study aims to analyse digital innovation in waqf management in West Java and its contribution to strengthening the community economy within Indonesia’s legal framework, particularly the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (Law No. 11 of 2008). Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review. The findings reveal that waqf institutions in West Java have adopted digital applications, crowdfunding platforms, QRIS payment systems, and online dashboards that increase wakif participation, transparency, and the growth of MSMEs and employment. However, challenges persist in digital literacy and infrastructure readiness. Digital waqf has strong potential as a sustainable economic empowerment instrument through professional governance, adaptive regulation, and reliable technological systems.

Abstract

Community economic empowerment based on Islamic values is an essential strategy for enhancing independence and improving the welfare of rural communities. This Community Service Program (CSP/PkM) was implemented in Mandalasari Village, Cikalong Wetan District, West Bandung Regency, an agrarian village with strong economic potential but limited business management capacity, access to capital, and institutional support. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the development of a sharia-based cooperative as a collective economic institution. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, community members were actively involved in problem identification, sharia cooperative socialization, business management training, financial literacy activities, and the facilitation of the establishment of the “Koperasi Merah Putih Syariah.” The results show significant improvements in the community’s understanding of Islamic economic principles, basic financial record-keeping skills, and collective commitment to building a sharia-based cooperative. Beyond economic benefits, the program also strengthened social values such as honesty, trustworthiness, and cooperation. This Community Service Program demonstrates that strengthening sharia cooperatives is an effective method for fostering equitable and sustainable socio-economic transformation in rural communities and can be replicated in other regions by adapting to local potentials.

Abstract

Cikande Village in Saguling District, West Bandung Regency, has strong natural and Islamic cultural potential to be developed as a halal tourist destination. However, low public understanding and limited infrastructure are the main obstacles. This community service aims to encourage the development of halal tourism based on local potential as an effort to improve the sustainable economy. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through observation, interviews, socialisation, training, and the formulation of strategies with the community. The results of the activity show that before the program, the community did not understand the concept of halal tourism as a whole. After the program was implemented, there was an increase in awareness, halal MSME training, and community-based tourism development planning. The community is starting to be actively involved in digital promotion and planning of halal tourism supporting facilities. This program is the first step in strengthening collaboration between the community, village government, and universities in realising Cikande Village as an inclusive and sustainable halal tourism destination.
