Abstract

The problem of learning to write response texts that could be more optimal is due to inappropriate learning models. This is the background of this research. This research examines how the implementation model of Think Pair Share learning helps junior high school students improve their skills in composing response texts. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a group posttest-only control design. A total of 186 students enrolled in grade IX of Junior High School 41 Medan constituted the population in this study. This study involved 28 students from class IX-2 and 28 from class IX-4 as samples. This study used quantitative data analysis using homogeneity, normality, and hypothesis tests. The results prove that without the Think Pair Share learning model, the average skill of composing student response text is below the minimum completeness criteria score of 75, with an average score of 66.07. For students who apply the Think Pair Share learning model, the average student score for writing response text is 85.85. The result represent that it can be concluded that students who apply the Think Pair Share learning model get a more excellent value than those who do not. Hypothesis testing shows that tcount > ttable, or 6.18 > 2.04. This indicates that the Think Pair Share learning model significantly affects the skills of junior high school students composing response texts. This research aims to provide information to academic and educational institutions about how the Think Pair Share learning model influences the skills of composing response texts of junior high school students.

Abstract

Writing skills can hone student’s abilities to express opinions, feelings and channel their talents. Writing s a medium for communicating using written language. The aim of this study; first, to analyze text writing skills biography without using the time token model for class X SMAS Muhammadiyah Kisaran.  Second, to analyze text writing skills biography using the time token model for class X SMAS Muhammadiyah Kisaran. Then, to analyze the influence of the time token model on students writing skills in class X SMAS Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran. The research method yses a two group post-test design. The population in this study was all class X SMAS students 36 control class students and 35 students experimental class. The instruments used are structure, suitability of content, linguistic rules, and accurary of spelling. Data analysis technique using analysi requirements test, homogeneity test, normality test, and test hypothesis. The research results in the control class obtained an average of 76,61 with good category, whilw in thw experimental class the average was 89,46 with very good category. Then, trough hypothesis testing, you can it is concluded that tcount >ttabel, namely 8,89>19444 so that the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence on the use of the time token model on biographical text writing skills in class X SMAS Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran. Based on the research results, the time token model can be applied in classroom learning as an alternative solution by teachers to overcome the problems found.

Abstract

The main focus of this research is to find out how language learning and language acquisition of children aged 2 to 5 years using a psycholinguistic study approach. The purpose of this study can be seen from the analysis documentation, interviews, and observations conducted by researchers in Sidomukti village, West Kisaran sub-district, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province. This study found that children acquire language in four phases. First, they have a babbling level (0.0-1.0). Second, they experience the holophrase period (1.0-2.0). Third, they enter the sensorimotor stage (from birth to 2-3 years old) and fourth, they enter the preoperative stage (from 3-5 years old). The data source is 15 children in Sidomukti village, West Kisaran sub-district, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province, aged 0 to 5 years old. The data found in this study includes children's language acquisition and language learning. Data collection methods included observation, interviews and recordings. The results showed that psycholinguistics correlates with children's language acquisition and learning.

Abstract

This study uses a psycholinguistic approach to examine how children aged between one and three years old show disappointment. The study aims to find, examine and characterize the words or phrases used by children to express disappointment. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative analysis based on phonological and syntactic theories of child language acquisition. Naturally, conversational data were collected by documenting the events that made children feel disappointed. The findings of the analysis showed that children often used nonverbal cues such as roaring, shouting, and crying along with explanations to convey their dissatisfaction. Children aged 1 year and 4 months have only learned verbs and nouns at the syntactic level. Two-year-olds can say two words classified as verbs, nouns, pronomina and negative phrases. Children between two and nine years old can say two nouns, verbs, adjectives, or adverbs.

Abstract

This study evaluates the feasibility of using interactive digital media to teach inspirational story texts that promote leadership values in middle school. The researcher has played a direct role in the planning process, data collection, data analysis, data interpretation, and data conclusion. The participants included Postgraduate lecturers from Medan State University, Bahasa Indonesia teachers, and a total of 43 middle school students. The data collection technique used in this study was a researcher's instrument, specifically a questionnaire to assess the developed product. The results showed that the teaching materials, which combined inspirational story texts and interactive digital media, scored an average of 82.35% in terms of content eligibility, indicating an “excellent” rating. Language proficiency received an average score of 81.73% with an “excellent” rating, while presentability scored an average of 86.45% with an "excellent" rating. Graphics feasibility received an average score of 90% with an “excellent” rating. Teacher assessments averaged a score of 95, also indicating an "excellent" rating. The small group test scores received an average of 84.12 with an “excellent” rating, and the large group trial scores averaged 91.03 with an “excellent” rating. Overall, the findings suggest that the use of interactive digital media to teach inspirational story texts that promote leadership values in middle school is highly recommended, as it received an overall rating of “excellent”.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the influence of speech production on language acquisition in children. This research uses qualitative methods with documentation and interview techniques to collect data. The research results show that speech production has a significant influence on language acquisition in children. Children who have good speech production skills tend to have better language skills too. This research contributes to the understanding of how speech production influences language acquisition in children. This can help parents, teachers and therapists develop appropriate intervention programs to help children with language learning difficulties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu karya Tere Liye menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme. Pendekatan ini berfokus pada unsur intrinsik karya sastra, yaitu tema, alur, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, dan gaya bahasa. Melalui analisis ini, ditemukan bahwa novel ini memiliki struktur yang erat kaitannya dengan tema pencarian makna hidup, pergulatan manusia dengan takdir, dan perjalanan spiritual tokoh utama. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan landasan teori strukturalisme Ferdinand de Saussure dan Robert Stanton. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa harmoni antarunsur intrinsik membangun narasi yang mendalam dan penuh makna filosofis.

Abstract

Sejarah sebagai kajian tentang peristiwa atau kejadian yang terjadi pada masa lalu, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan manusia,meninggalkan cerita yang diwariskan secara turun temurun dari generasi ke generasi ini disebut sebagai karya sastra.oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Sejarah apa saja yang pernah terjadi di Sumatera Utara khusunya di desa Parapat.dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Mixed- Methods Research metode yaitu pendekatan yang mengintegrasikan data kuantitatif (dari survei atau statistik) dengan data kualitatif (dari wawancara, observasi, atau analisis konten media sosial) peneliti menemukan salah satu Sejarah yang pernah terjadi di Sumatera utara dan telah di jadikan salah satu karya sastra dari Sumatera utara dengan judul “Legenda Batu Gantung”.berdasarkan pendekatan sastra peneliti juga menganalisis karya tersebut berdasarkan pendekatan sosiologi sastra untuk memahami dan menginterpretasikan nilai- nilai sosial, budaya, dan moral yang terkandung dalam cerita tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis novel Kasih Tak Sampai karya Marah Rusli melalui pendekatan objektif serta mengeksplorasi kritik yang muncul terhadap karya tersebut. Novel ini, yang diterbitkan oleh Balai Pustaka, menggambarkan perjuangan cinta antara Sitti Nurbaya dan Samsulbahri yang terhalang oleh tradisi dan norma sosial. Melalui analisis unsur intrinsik, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa karakter, tema, dan konflik dalam novel mencerminkan permasalahan yang relevan dalam masyarakat pada masanya. Selain itu, kritik terhadap novel ini mengungkapkan pandangan tentang relevansi tema cinta yang terhalang oleh tradisi di era modern. Sebagai solusi dari permasalahan tersebut, penulis menyarankan perlunya pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terhadap konteks sosial dan budaya dalam membaca karya sastra, sehingga pembaca dapat menghargai nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalamnya.

Abstract

Dalihan na Tolu dalam budaya Batak pada konteks pendekatan sosiologi sastra menyoroti pentingnya sistem kekerabatan yang diwakili oleh tiga elemen: mora, kahanggi, dan anak boru. Konsep ini berfungsi sebagai filosofi hidup yang mengatur interaksi sosial dan nilai-nilai budaya, seperti saling menghormati dan menolong. Dalam karya sastra, Dalihan Na Tolu mencerminkan dinamika hubungan antar anggota masyarakat Batak, serta konflik yang muncul dari perbedaan nilai dan norma. Salah satu konflik yang kerap kali muncul dalam karya sastra yang berhubungan dengan budaya adalah sistem kekerabatan masyarakat. Inilah yang dipilih leluhur suku Batak sebagai falsafah hidup dalam tatanan kekerabatan antara sesama yang bersaudara, dengan mora dan anak boru. Penelitian ini mengungkap bagaimana Dalihan Na Tolu membentuk identitas sosial kekerabatn dan budaya masyarakat Batak. Makna yang terkandung dalam Dalihan na Tolu dalam sosiologi sastra mencerminkan struktur sosial dan nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat Batak.
