Abstract

This research aims to analyse the urgency of written agreements in land management in Oman Nyambu Hamlet, focusing on their benefits in providing legal certainty, preventing disputes, and supporting social stability. Although oral agreements are still commonly used, this research identifies their weaknesses, such as the high risk of conflict and legal uncertainty. Through a juridical-empirical approach involving interviews and document studies, it was found that the main barriers to the implementation of written agreements include low legal literacy, economic constraints, and the influence of local culture. The results show that written agreements not only strengthen the legal position of the parties, but also support the efficiency of land administration. The findings emphasise the importance of legal education, facilitating access to written documents, and digitisation to overcome existing constraints. The study concludes by recommending an integrated approach to improve community legal literacy and promote a more transparent and accountable transformation of land management, to support socio-economic development in rural areas. This study contributes to the development of local needs-based agrarian policies.

Abstract

Hindu religious education through pasraman plays an important role in the formation of the religious character and nationality of the younger generation in Indonesia. In the context of a multicultural society, educational communication carried out by an Acarya is a crucial strategy in instilling religious moderation values such as tolerance, love for the homeland, anti-violence, and respect for cultural diversity. This study aims to analyze the form and role of Acarya educational communication in learning the value of religious moderation in Pasraman Sad Dharma Dwijendra Mataram. We collected data using a descriptive qualitative approach, which involved in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of learning activities and interactions between Acarya and Sisya. The results of the study show that Acarya educational communication includes an exemplary approach, interactive dialogue (Dharma Tula), and the delivery of Hindu narratives that are contextualized with social realities. These findings indicate that communication is not only a means of delivering material but also a medium for value transformation. This article contributes to the development of a religious learning model that is adaptive and relevant to the context of Indonesia's diversity. The results of this study are important to strengthen inclusive and transformative Hindu educational practices during complex socio-religious dynamics.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a crucial principle in the pluralistic national education system, especially in the context of Hindu non-formal religious education in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the habituation process of internalizing religious moderation values in early childhood in Pasraman Samiaga Mataram, as well as identify the learning strategies used by Acarya in shaping students' moderate character. The approach used is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The hypothesis of this study states that the more intensive and contextual the habituation process is carried out, the higher the level of internalization of the value of moderation in early childhood. The results of the study show that learning activities such as Dharma Tula, Yoga, and Dharma Yatra are effectively a medium for habituation of the values of tolerance, peace-loving, and non-violent attitudes, even though students do not understand the concept of moderation terminologically. Affective and contextual strategies have been shown to be more effective in shaping moderate behavior than expository approaches. This article contributes to the development of a theory of Hindu character education based on religious moderation at an early age by emphasizing the importance of a habitual learning approach in instilling abstract values. These findings reinforce the urgency of updating pasraman pedagogy and relevance in shaping an inclusive and adaptive young generation during social diversity. The findings of this study are key to creating a non-formal education model that effectively addresses the challenges of diversity and potential intolerance starting from an early age.

Abstract

Pasraman Saraswati Tri Parartha Mataram integrates multicultural education grounded in Hindu philosophy to instill the value of religious moderation. This research departs from the discourse of religious education, which not only focuses on theological aspects but also on the formation of inclusive, contextual, and moderate social character and religious ethics. The purpose of this study is to identify the learning strategies used by Acarya in teaching the values of religious moderation and analyze their contribution to the social attitudes and religiosity of pasraman students. This study employs a qualitative case study approach, focusing on the main subjects: Acarya, Sisya, and parents. We collected data through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, followed by a thematic analysis. The findings of the study show that the internalization of the value of religious moderation runs effectively through learning approaches rooted in Hindu philosophy, such as Tat Twam Asi, Ahimsa, and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Learning strategies that combine ritual practices, examples, and strengthening social attitudes have been proven to be able to form a character that is tolerant, religious, and respectful of differences. The main contribution of this article lies in offering a contextual model of local religion-based multicultural education that can be replicated in other religious educational institutions. The results of this study are important for the development of religious education, educational philosophy, and da'wah communication based on local culture and spirituality as a transformative approach to strengthening religious moderation in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

Indonesia, with its religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity, faces great challenges in maintaining harmony between religious communities. Pasraman, as a non-formal educational institution that teaches Hinduism, has an important role in instilling the values of religious moderation in the younger generation. This study aims to analyse the learning strategy of religious moderation in pasraman, Mataram City, and the impact of internalising these values on sisyas. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation studies in several active pasramans in Mataram. The study results show that pasraman implements five main learning strategies system-oriented, expositive, cooperative, contextual, and affective. This strategy focuses on teaching the values of tolerance, respect for differences, and social harmony. Despite challenges such as a limited understanding of Acarya and limited facilities, the study's results revealed that the value of religious moderation has succeeded in shaping the character of sisya, who are more open, tolerant, and ready to contribute to a multicultural society. This research contributes to developing Hindu religious education based on religious moderation in Indonesia, especially in increasing tolerance and harmony in a plural society.

Abstract

Mataram City, as the center of religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity in West Nusa Tenggara Province, presents its challenges in building inclusive and sustainable social harmony. One of the symbols of local culture that plays a role in maintaining this harmony is Ogoh-Ogoh, which, although it originated from Hindu religious traditions, has now become a space for cross-identity interaction. This research aims to examine how Ogoh-Ogoh symbolism is understood and interpreted in the context of a multicultural society, as well as its contribution to the formation of harmony between religious communities. The method used is qualitative with an interdisciplinary approach, combining insights from cultural anthropology, social psychology, and religious studies. Data was obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and community discussions, then analyzed using thematic coding techniques. The results of the study show that Ogoh-Ogoh has undergone a transformation in meaning, from a religious symbol to a means of social education that is able to build a collective awareness of the importance of tolerance and togetherness. The participation of interfaith communities in the Ogoh-Ogoh tradition strengthens social cohesion and shows the potential of local culture as an integrative medium. However, there is still resistance from conservative groups who view Ogoh-Ogoh exclusively, so an interdisciplinary, inclusive, and participatory approach is needed in the management of this cultural symbol. This study concludes that Ogoh-Ogoh is a dynamic symbol that can make a real contribution to strengthening social harmony if interpreted openly and across identity boundaries.
