Abstract

This study explores the mediating role of impulsive buying on the influence of price perception, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), and financial literacy on the financial management of Gen Z TikTok Shop Users at Dian Nuswantoro University. With the results of a descriptive quantitative approach of 122 respondents, using non-probability sampling techniques specifically purposive sampling and snowball sampling, it was found that price perception and FOMO were proven to have a significant positive effect and thus play a strong role in increasing impulsive behavior. Conversely, financial literacy had a significant negative effect, low financial literacy encouraged unplanned spending to increase. Impulsive buying was proven to mediate the relationship between the influence of price perception, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), and financial literacy on individual financial management. The results of the study support the need for the reach of objects and variables related to the financial management of the younger generation on various digital platforms.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of fundamental factors (ROA, DER, CR, PBV, EPS) and macroeconomic factors (exchange rates, interest rates) on stock prices of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020–2024, with inflation as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach and secondary data from financial statements and macroeconomic sources, the sample comprises 20 companies (100 observations). Results show that EPS and PBV have a positive and significant effect on stock prices, while ROA, DER, CR, exchange rates, and interest rates are not significant. Inflation moderates the relationship between ROA and PBV with stock prices, but not for other variables. The findings indicate that profitability and market valuation are the main factors considered by investors, while inflation plays a selective role.

Abstract

Background: Employing brand image as an intermediary variable, this research seeks to assess the influence exerted by digital promotion and electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) on purchase decisions at ZAP Clinic Semarang. Objectives: The present research analyzes both the unmediated impacts of digital promotion and electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) on brand image and purchase decisions at ZAP Clinic Semarang, as well as the extent to which brand image serves as an intermediary in the linkage between those marketing tactics and subsequent consumer purchasing behavior. Methodology: The research employed a quantitative framework based on a survey technique. Purposive sampling yielded 100 respondents meeting the following inclusion criteria: previous use of ZAP Clinic Semarang’s services, receipt of digital promotional stimuli, interaction with online consumer reviews, age of at least 17 years, and domicile within Semarang City. Analytical procedures were carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as executed in SmartPLS 4.0. Findings: Although digital promotion exhibits no statistically significant direct effect on purchase decisions, electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) demonstrates a positive and statistically significant impact on both brand image and consumer purchasing behavior. Furthermore, the findings confirm that brand image serves as a significant mediating mechanism in the relationship between digital marketing strategies, particularly e-WOM, and purchase decisions. Conclusions: Purchase decisions for aesthetic clinic services are more driven by consumer experience and online recommendations through e-WOM, as well as positive perceptions of brand image, compared to digital promotion alone. Digital promotion may be ineffective unless it first enhances brand image.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed consumption patterns among Generation Z, particularly within online gaming ecosystems such as Roblox. The platform encourages repeated virtual spending through its in-game currency system, making it relevant to examine how psychological and technological factors shape users' financial behavior. This study investigates the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), Financial Literacy, and Financial Technology (FinTech) on the financial behavior of Generation Z Roblox players in Indonesia. A quantitative research design was employed, with data gathered from 219 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The analytical method used was Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that Financial Literacy and FinTech adoption positively and significantly affect financial behavior, while FOMO shows a negative but statistically insignificant effect. The income variable (Benefit) used as a control also did not significantly influence financial behavior. The model achieved an R-square value of 0.632, suggesting that the independent variables collectively explain 63.2% of the variance in financial behavior. These results highlight the importance of financial education programs and the strategic use of digital payment tools in fostering responsible financial habits among young gamers.
