Abstract

Effective internal communication is one of the key factors in building a solid work team in Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). This study aims to explore the role of internal communication in shaping team cohesion in BUMDes, as well as its impact on organizational performance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observations with BUMDes managers and staff in several villages. The results show that open and transparent communication between managers and team members is highly influential in improving coordination, resolving problems, and strengthening collective work spirit. In addition, a clear understanding of the objectives and roles of each member also supports the creation of a harmonious working environment. This research contributes to the development of more effective communication strategies in the context of village-based organizations, and offers practical recommendations for BUMDes managers to improve the quality of internal communication in an effort to strengthen village economic institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of project-based learning in improving students' understanding of the concept of sustainable economy. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 200 high school students in Cirebon Regency who were selected through random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, with validity and reliability tested using Pearson Product Moment and Cronbach Alpha coefficients. The results showed that project-based learning significantly improved students' understanding of the concept of sustainable economy. The t-test analysis revealed significant differences based on gender, where female students had a higher level of understanding than male students. The ANOVA results showed significant differences in students from public and private high schools (F = 5.678, p < 0.05), while Pearson's correlation indicated a positive relationship between age and student understanding (r = 0.453, p < 0.01). This study provides practical and theoretical contributions in integrating project-based learning into the curriculum, while supporting constructivist theory in education. Limitations of the study include limited geographic coverage and cross-sectional design. Further research is recommended to use a longitudinal design and expand the scope of the area.

Abstract

In recent years, influencer marketing has emerged as a powerful component in digital advertising strategies, particularly in the beauty industry. The proliferation of social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok has enabled beauty influencers to build large followings and significantly shape consumer preferences and purchase decisions. This paper investigates the effectiveness of influencer marketing in digital campaigns for beauty products by exploring how influencer credibility, content quality, audience engagement, and brand alignment contribute to campaign success. Through a qualitative approach and literature review, the study identifies key factors influencing campaign effectiveness and highlights both opportunities and challenges for marketers. Findings indicate that influencer marketing can enhance brand awareness, drive consumer trust, and increase sales conversions when executed with strategic precision. However, issues such as influencer authenticity, audience skepticism, and algorithmic changes may affect outcomes. The paper concludes by offering strategic recommendations for brands aiming to leverage influencer marketing to achieve measurable results in the highly competitive beauty sector.

Abstract

In the era of economic disruption and digitalization, public sector organizations and local communities such as Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) are faced with significant challenges in adopting change to remain relevant and competitive. This research aims to examine the implementation of change management in BUMDes that run family-based village businesses, focusing on adaptation strategies, leadership, community participation, and institutional structure. The case study was conducted on one of the BUMDes in Indonesia that has undergone structural and operational transformation after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that the success of change management is strongly influenced by the commitment of the village head, the involvement of family business actors, and community support. This research provides theoretical contributions in strengthening community-based change management models as well as practical benefits in the formulation of BUMDes development policies at the local level.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of predatory short selling on the stability of financial institutions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange by focusing on the role of leverage constraints in creating systemic vulnerability. Using panel data from 42 registered banks for the 2018-2023 period, this study applies an agent-based modeling approach combined with empirical analysis to understand the transmission mechanism of short selling to forced liquidation. The results show that financial institutions with a high leverage ratio (>8%) experience an increase in stock price volatility by 23.7% when facing intensive short selling pressure. The simulation model identifies three vulnerability regions: the safety region (leverage <6%), the vulnerability region (leverage 6%-8%), and the doomed region (leverage >8%). Empirical findings confirm that coordination between short sellers expands the doomed region, where liquidation becomes a single equilibrium. Panel regression analysis showed that every 1% increase in the short interest ratio increased the probability of forced liquidation by 0.47% in high-leverage institutions. The implementation of circuit breakers and short selling restrictions has proven effective in reducing manipulative short selling by 31% during the COVID-19 crisis period. This research provides an empirical justification for the temporary restriction of short selling on vulnerable financial institutions and contributes to the development of a more adaptive regulatory framework in emerging markets.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0 has changed the global business paradigm, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in facing increasingly complex competitive challenges. This research aims to analyze the role of digital marketing in increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs in the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0. The research method uses a quantitative approach with survey techniques on 385 MSMEs in the Greater Jakarta area that have implemented digital marketing strategies. Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire that had been validated with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.892. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 24.0 software. The results of the study show that digital marketing has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of MSMEs with a path coefficient value of 0.784 (p<0.001). The most influential digital marketing indicator was social media marketing (B=0.856), followed by search engine optimization (B=0.743), and content marketing (B=0.692). The competitiveness of MSMEs increased significantly through increased operational efficiency (34.2%), market expansion (41.7%), and product innovation (28.9%). This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of an integrated digital marketing framework model for MSMEs and practical implications for the development of MSME empowerment policies in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze community empowerment strategies in ecotourism management in Baluran National Park, East Java. Ecotourism is considered a sector that can provide economic benefits while supporting environmental sustainability, but empowering local communities in its management still faces major challenges. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design and data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and participatory observation. The results showed that although there were several efforts to empower the community, such as skills training and providing employment opportunities in ecotourism activities, the level of community participation in planning and decision-making was still limited. Factors that hinder empowerment include a lack of understanding of sustainable ecotourism, limited resources, and inadequate training. This research recommends the need for increased community involvement in planning, more inclusive management, and policies that better support the economic and social sustainability of local communities. The practical implications of this research are expected to provide a basis for more sustainable and inclusive ecotourism policies in Indonesia.
