Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to the efforts, results, and inhibiting factors of the Quran teacher in overcoming difficulties and improving the reading and writing skills of 5th and 6th grade students at DTA Baitul Husna, Cijeruk Village, Bandung Regency. The lack of lesson hours and the importance of the ability to read and write the Qur'an are the background in this study. Based on this background, it is of interest to researchers to find out the efforts made by Koranic teachers in overcoming difficulties and improving students' Al-Qur'an reading and writing skills. The method used in this research is descriptive method through qualitative approach. The data collection was carried out through primary and secondary data with collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. There are several efforts made by DTA teachers, including: teachers act as mentors, motivators, and counselors. After the research was conducted, several results were found that not all students have the same level of intelligence in terms of reading and writing the Qur'an, so the teacher needs to know the understanding of each student through the Qur'an reading test every day. In the process, students are not allowed to continue to the next stage if they do not really understand. Teachers at DTA Baitul Husna provide a special day for calligraphy training on Friday. Thus, students are expected to be able to achieve learning objectives in terms of reading and writing the Qur'an. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk upaya, hasil, dan faktor penghambat guru mengaji dalam mengatasi kesulitan dan meningkatkan keterampilan baca tulis qur’an peserta didik kelas 5 dan 6 di DTA Baitul Husna Desa Cijeruk Kabupaten Bandung. Kurangnya jam pelajaran dan pentingnya kemampuan baca tulis Al-Qur’an menjadi latar belakang dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, menjadi ketertarikan peneliti untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru mengaji dalam mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan dan meningkatkan keterampilan baca tulis Al-Qur’an peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun pengambilan data dilakukan melalui data primer maupun sekunder dengan teknik pengumpulan berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Terdapat beberapa upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru DTA, diantaranya: guru berperan sebagai pembimbing, motivator, dan konselor. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, ditemukan beberapa hasil bahwa tidak semua peserta didik memiliki tingkat kecerdasan yang sama dalam hal baca tulis Al-Qur’an, sehingga guru perlu mengetahui kepahaman masing-masing peserta didik melalui tes membaca Al-Qur’an setiap harinya. Dalam prosesnya, peserta didik tidak diperbolehkan untuk lanjut ke tahap selanjutnya apabila belum benar-benar paham. Guru di DTA Baitul Husna menyediakan hari khusus untuk pelatihan kaligrafi di hari jumat. Dengan demikian, peserta didik diharapkan mampu mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dalam hal baca tulis Al-Qur’an.
