Abstract

This paper examines the application of restorative justice in cases of juvenile homicide under Indonesian law, focusing specifically on a case study involving the murder of a child in Subang, as reviewed in Subang District Court Decision Number 1/Pid.Sus-Anak/2025/PN Sng. The study uses a normative juridical approach to analyze the feasibility of applying restorative justice principles in such serious criminal cases, particularly those involving minors. The Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP), Law on the Juvenile Court (UUPA), and restorative justice frameworks are explored in relation to the case. The paper discusses the role of the offender's age, mental state, and the victim’s family's involvement in the restorative process, highlighting both the potential benefits and challenges of implementing restorative justice in juvenile homicide cases. The findings suggest that while restorative justice can be a rehabilitative tool for juvenile offenders, its application in cases involving serious offenses like murder is complex and requires careful consideration of the emotional impact on the victim’s family, the offender’s potential for reform, and societal expectations for justice. The paper concludes by recommending further exploration of restorative justice as part of broader juvenile justice reforms in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of salary, family responsibilities, and future orientation on the financial well-being of Generation Z, with a particular focus on the mediating role of financial mindset. Utilizing a quantitative research method, data were collected from 150 respondents through an online questionnaire using a Likert scale (1–5). Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25, including regression and mediation analysis. The findings reveal that salary and future orientation have a significant positive effect on financial mindset, while family responsibilities have a negative but significant effect. Furthermore, financial mindset significantly influences financial well-being and partially mediates the relationship between the independent variables and financial well-being. These results highlight the critical role of psychological factors, such as mindset, in shaping financial behavior and outcomes. The study emphasizes the need for financial education and support systems that cultivate a forward-looking and confident approach to personal finance among Generation Z.

Abstract

This paper examines Article 28I Paragraph (4) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia from a normative juridical perspective, focusing on its role in protecting minority rights and upholding the principle of non-discrimination. As a constitutional provision, Article 28I (4) mandates the state—particularly the government—to ensure the protection, promotion, enforcement, and fulfillment of human rights. The study analyzes how this mandate is reflected in national laws, judicial decisions, and administrative practices, while also assessing Indonesia’s compliance with international human rights obligations. The findings reveal that despite strong constitutional commitments, the implementation remains inconsistent due to inadequate enforcement, the absence of a comprehensive anti-discrimination law, and the persistence of discriminatory local regulations. The study recommends legal harmonization, institutional strengthening, and the enactment of specific anti-discrimination legislation to ensure equal rights for all citizens, especially minorities. This research contributes to the development of a more inclusive and just legal framework in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study conducts a normative legal analysis of Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (commonly referred to as the Omnibus Law), focusing on its constitutionality as assessed in Constitutional Court Decision Number 91/PUU-XVIII/2020. The research examines the legal and procedural foundations of the law's formation and evaluates whether it adhered to the standards set by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The Constitutional Court declared the law "conditionally unconstitutional," citing procedural violations such as insufficient public participation, lack of transparency, and post-ratification changes. This paper discusses the legal reasoning behind the Court’s decision, the legislative implications of using the omnibus method, and the broader impact on Indonesia's legal and democratic processes. The findings emphasize the importance of constitutional compliance, legislative discipline, and meaningful public involvement in lawmaking to ensure legal certainty and democratic accountability

Abstract

This study examines the influence of subscription strategies, personalized offers, and email marketing on perceived usefulness through user engagement, and their impact on conversion and customer retention in Indonesian local streaming services. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 300 respondents through a structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results indicate that all three marketing strategies significantly enhance user engagement, with personalized offers having the strongest effect. User engagement strongly predicts perceived usefulness, which in turn significantly drives both conversion and customer retention. These findings confirm the mediating role of user engagement and perceived usefulness in the relationship between marketing strategies and business performance outcomes. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of user behavior in digital entertainment services and provides practical recommendations for optimizing customer acquisition and loyalty in competitive streaming markets.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to propose a novel theoretical framework that explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the medical tourism sector, with the aim of enhancing healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. The framework is designed to address the challenges faced by medical tourism destinations, such as high treatment costs, accessibility issues, and operational inefficiencies. Design/methodology/approach – This study employs a conceptual methodology, combining a comprehensive review of current AI applications in healthcare and the development of a new framework tailored to medical tourism. The framework integrates AI-driven predictive analytics, virtual health assistants, and personalized treatment algorithms. Furthermore, a mathematical model is proposed to substantiate the framework, demonstrating its impact on key performance indicators (KPIs) in medical tourism. Findings – The paper finds that AI can significantly improve operational efficiency, reduce treatment costs, enhance patient satisfaction, and increase the competitiveness of medical tourism destinations. The proposed framework shows how AI can address critical challenges such as language barriers, healthcare quality discrepancies, and patient navigation difficulties. Practical implications – The findings suggest that healthcare providers and policymakers in medical tourism destinations can leverage AI technologies to improve service delivery, attract more international patients, and foster economic growth in the sector. The study provides actionable recommendations for the adoption of AI in medical tourism, which could lead to a more efficient, affordable, and patient-friendly healthcare experience. Originality/value – This paper offers a novel theoretical framework that integrates AI into the medical tourism industry, which has not been sufficiently explored in existing literature. The proposed model contributes to a better understanding of how AI can enhance the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of healthcare services for international patients.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of corporate branding, flexible working hours, and the digital work environment on company attractiveness among Generation Z employees in Indonesia’s creative industry. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 120 respondents through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results reveal that all three independent variables—corporate branding, flexible working hours, and digital work environment—have positive and significant effects on company attractiveness. Corporate branding enhances organizational appeal by communicating authenticity, innovation, and credibility, while flexible working hours increase perceived freedom, trust, and work-life balance. The digital work environment emerges as the most influential factor, reflecting Generation Z’s strong affinity for technology-based collaboration and creativity. Collectively, these factors explain 51.6% of the variance in company attractiveness. The findings support employer branding and work design theories, demonstrating that organizational image, autonomy, and digital infrastructure jointly shape how young creative professionals perceive an ideal employer. Practically, the study emphasizes that creative industry organizations should strengthen brand identity, institutionalize flexible work arrangements, and enhance digital infrastructure to attract and retain Generation Z talent effectively.
