Abstract

Communication is an important aspect in the development of early childhood, especially in improving language skills as a foundation for children’s social and cognitive development. Interactive communication between teachers and children creates a learning environment that encourages children to express ideas, convey feelings, and develop vocabulary through meaningful interactions. This study aims to examine the role of interactive communication between teachers and children in improving early childhood language abilities. The method used in this study is a literature review approach by analyzing various theories and previous studies related to teacher-child communication and early childhood language development. The results of the study indicate that effective interactive communication, including verbal and nonverbal communication, questioning strategies, active listening, and positive responses from teachers, can stimulate children’s speaking skills, confidence, and ability to communicate. Therefore, teachers have an important role as facilitators in creating communicative learning activities that support optimal language development in early childhood.

Abstract

This study analyzed the behavior of women who perform bathing, washing, and toileting (MCK) activities in the open Aek Pohon River in the Pidoli Dolok Subdistrict. The aim is to identify the causes, impacts, and appropriate environmental communication strategies. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach through observation and interviews. The results show that this behavior is influenced by limited facilities, long-standing traditions, and the perception of the river as the primary water source. Communication strategies are implemented through educational efforts, the involvement of religious leaders, and the provision of MCK facilities by the government. These findings are expected to contribute to studies on social behavior and environmental communication.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into communication strategies has revolutionized various fields, including Islamic Da'wah. This study explores how AI technologies can be utilized to enhance the dissemination of Islamic teachings, examining both the opportunities and challenges this integration presents. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative analysis of AI applications in religious contexts with quantitative surveys of Da'wah practitioners and their audiences. The findings reveal that AI technologies, such as chatbots, natural language processing, and machine learning, significantly enhance the reach and personalization of Da'wah efforts. AI enables interactive and engaging communication, breaking down geographical and linguistic barriers. However, the results also highlight several challenges, including ethical concerns regarding the accuracy of AI-generated content, the potential for misinformation, and the digital divide that limits access to these technologies. The study concludes that while AI offers substantial opportunities to innovate Islamic Da'wah, careful consideration must be given to ethical implications and practical limitations. The collaboration between AI experts and Islamic scholars is essential to ensure that AI-driven Da'wah initiatives are both effective and respectful of Islamic values. Balancing AI's advantages with its challenges can lead to more effective and inclusive communication strategies in the digital era, ultimately enriching the practice of Islamic propagation.

Abstract

Media convergence has transformed the way messages are delivered, particularly in digital platforms such as podcasts. Deddy Corbuzier's Close The Door podcast is an example of how media convergence integrates audio and visual elements to enhance message delivery. This study aims to analyze how Deddy Corbuzier utilizes media convergence in episode Case 003: Callous and how the message delivery process takes place within this framework. This research employs a qualitative approach with a content analysis methodology. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to explore the strategies used in message delivery and audience engagement within the podcast. The findings indicate that Deddy Corbuzier applies video podcasting, which integrates audio-visual elements to create an immersive experience. The podcast facilitates two-way communication (interactional), enabling engagement between the host and the audience. The study also identifies key messages conveyed in the episode, such as the importance of self-confidence and avoiding the “people-pleaser” mentality. Additionally, the study highlights the success strategies suggested by Deddy Corbuzier, which include self-belief, perseverance, and continuous self-improvement. Deddy Corbuzier employs various communication techniques, including the bridging technique, which connects unrelated topics seamlessly to create engaging discussions. Furthermore, persuasive communication is utilized to influence audience perception and encourage motivation. The study suggests that media convergence in podcasts enhances storytelling effectiveness and audience retention.

Abstract

This study analyzes how the film Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah presents Islamic communication principles and identifies dialogues that contradict them. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis based on Miles and Huberman's framework, the research examines six key principles: qaulan sadida, qaulan layyina, qaulan ma’rufa, qaulan karima, qaulan maysura, and qaulan baligha. The findings highlight the film's representation of ethical and moral values in Islamic communication within a religious-themed narrative. The findings indicate that the film effectively integrates Islamic communication principles, making it a potential medium for social learning through message observation, aligning with Melvin DeFleur’s Social Learning Theory. The interaction between characters frequently reflects Islamic communication values. Specifically, qaulan sadida appears 8 times, qaulan layyina 4 times, qaulan ma’rufa 9 times, qaulan karima 12 times, qaulan maysura 2 times, and qaulan baligha 5 times. Despite the strong representation of Islamic communication principles, the study also identifies dialogue that contradicts these values. Instances of qaulan sadida being violated through dishonesty appear 6 times, harsh speech contradicting qaulan layyina occurs 5 times, disrespectful words opposing qaulan karima appear 5 times, and inappropriate words conflicting with qaulan ma’rufa are also found 5 times. These findings suggest that while the film promotes Islamic communication ethics, it also depicts real-life conflicts that challenge these principles, reflecting the complexities of social interactions.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan di kecamatan Mompang Jae ini melibatkan 30 orang sebagai responden. Dengan memperhatikan latar belakang pendikan, pekerjaan dan Usia. Metode peelitian digunakan dengan 2 cara yaitu pertama adalah observasi, kemudian juga dilakukan wawancara dengan mengajukan 10 pertanyaan. Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa Program raskin di Kecamatan Panyabungan Utara belum dapat memenuhi indikator 6T ketepatan raskin, dimana indikator 6T tersebut sangat berpengaruh terhadap kesuksesan program raskin di Kecamatan Panyabungan Utara . Dari indikator 6T yaitu: tepat sasaran, tepat jumlah, tepat kualitas, tepat harga, tepat waktu, tepat administrasi, bahwa pada kenyataan di lapangan program raskin di Kecamatan Panyabungan Utara hanya memenuhi 2 (dua) indikator saja yaitu indikator tepat harga dan tepat administrasi. program raskin di Kecamatan Panyabungan Utara tidak meningkatkan kesejahateraan masyarakat penerima raskin

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of communication and the principles of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah) in efforts to increase community economic independence, identify factors that influence multisectoral communication in stunting prevention, and explore the relationship between economic independence and stunting prevention. The locus of this research is Mandailing Natal Regency and Padangsidimpuan City, two areas in North Sumatra with high stunting rates. Maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, which emphasizes the protection of religion, life, mind, descendants, and property, can provide a new approach to reducing stunting through increasing economic independence. A qualitative approach was used in this study, using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method to explore the views of the community and stakeholders. Increased economic independence contributes significantly to improving the nutritional status and health of children. Economic independence allows better access to nutritious food and health services, and increases parental knowledge about nutrition. Economic empowerment programs that focus on women can improve their social and economic status, which has a positive impact on childcare. Furthermore, greater economic independence improves families' ability to pay for health services and invest in children's education. The results of the study indicate that the synergy between communication activities and emphasizing the values ​​of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah) in efforts to increase economic independence can contribute to reducing stunting rates. The application of communication principles and the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (Islamic principles) in economic empowerment programs focuses not only on stunting reduction but also on improving overall community welfare. Therefore, this research is expected to provide new insights into the importance of a holistic approach to stunting prevention that involves various sectors and sharia values.
