Abstract

Recreation is done for the purpose of fun and relaxation. One of the interesting recreational activities is fishing activities. This activity can revive marine tourism. This research aims to identify the characteristics of sport /fun fishing anglers who fish around the waters of Sorong and analyze the technical feasibility of sport / fun fishing in the waters around the mouthpiece. This research was conducted using a case study survey approach on sports / fun fishing activities in Sorong Waters The data collection method used is an interview (quisioner) and observes directly the hand line fishing gear carried out by anglers and records the location and catch . The data taken in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is taken by observing, and interviewing anglers. Secondary data is supporting data to assist and complement the completion of this research. The results of the study obtained hasil catch commonly obtained by anglers, namely: Grouper, Emperors, Snapper, Amberjack, Trevallly, Spanish Mackerel, Jobfish, Barracuda, and Pomfret. The results of a survey of 5 locations (Makoi, Wayar, Senapan, Saoka, Makbon) showed that the five locations were suitable for sport fishing, proved effective to get catches using metal jig with the most results in the waters of Batu Lobang – Makbon, followed by Makoi, Senapan, Saoka and Wayar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility level of fishing business with pole and line at KM Aspac 11 operating in WPPNRI 715. The research was carried out on the KM Aspac ship and at the fish landing site from March 2 to May 30, 2020. This type of research is a descriptive study. quantitative. The business feasibility variables analyzed in this study are NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), and Benefit Cost Ratio (B / C Ratio). The results showed that the fishing effort carried out by KM Aspac 11 in WPPNRI 715 was feasible to run with an NPV value of Rp. 916,444,000, amounting to, an IRR of 28.85, and a B / C Ratio of 1.05.

Abstract

Abstrak: perikanan budidaya merupakan sektor yang prospektif dalam pemenuhan sumber pangan hewani. Intensifikasi budidaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen berdampak kepada rentannya wabah penyakit dan pengelolaan perikanan yang tidak ramah lingkungan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mensosialisasikan manfaat vaksin dan vaksinasi pada ikan kepada masyarakat khusunya pembudidaya ikan. Sosialisasi melalui desiminasi, penerapan ilmu pengetahuan maupun hasil penelitian kepada masyarakat dengan metode ceramah secara hybrid. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan sebanyak 1190 berasal dari 34 provinsi dengan profesi mahasiswa, penyuluh, dosen, peneliti, pelaku budidaya, dan masyarakat umum. Hasil kegiatan peserta merasa antusias dengan materi yang diberikan karena materi jarang diberian dan update hasil penelitina terbaru adanya keinginan untuk kegiatan lanjutan berupa praktik dan pelatihan vaksinator.Abstract: Aquaculture is a prospective sector in fulfilling animal food sources. Intensification of aquaculture to meet consumer needs has an impact on vulnerability to disease outbreaks and environmentally unfriendly fisheries management. This community service aims to socialize the benefits of vaccines and vaccinations on fish to the community, especially fish cultivators. Dissemination through dissemination, application of knowledge and research results to the public using a hybrid lecture method. 1190 participants who took part in the activity came from 34 provinces with the professions of students, extension workers, lecturers, researchers, cultivators, and the general public. The results of the activity participants were enthusiastic about the material given because the material was rarely given and updated the results of the latest research, there was a desire for further activities in the form of vaccinator practice and training.

Abstract

fishermen must be adaptive to technological advancement. Community service in the form of increasing the hard skill of the digital information system for fishing fishing in the digital era aims to make it easier for fishermen to carry out their livelihood activities. Activities are carried out online for theory and offline for practice. The target partners were trained as many as 30 people from the hand line fishery community of the Maladum Mes district. The results of monitoring the target partners can practice the material presented.

Abstract

Covid-19 has invaded almost all regions and professions, including coastal areas which are mostly inhabited by fishermen. Solidarity with fishermen during a pandemic is carried out by socializing health protocols to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic from spreading to fishermen. There were 30 socialization participants who were handline fishermen from three groups of fishermen in Maladum Mes District. Evaluation of the results of socialization by making observations in the fishing area found that on average fishermen do not use masks for various reasons. However, fishermen have behaved to keep their distance.

Abstract

Anti-corruption values ​​need to be crystallized to cadets as provisions in welcoming the golden generation towards an advanced and civilized nation. These values ​​become culture and strengthen superior character which can be a provision in community activities and work activities. Community service activities are carried out using the online method using online meetings with the concept of screen sharing. Thirty-two target partners attended two material sessions.

Abstract

Safety of life at sea is highly prioritized to reduce the impact of losses on humans, ships and their cargo. The purpose of this community service implementation is to provide an overview and information about marine life in the form of rules about basic safety and skills to use basic safety equipment on ships. There were 29 socialization participants who were teachers of the natural tadabbur group of SMA Muhammadiya Al-Amin Sorong. The results of the participant's observations can follow and demonstrate the practice that was done.

Abstract

This activity aims to assist and provide training to the Victor Jaya fishing group community about the diversification of Anchovy fish in order to increase its economic value. This activity comprised 25 people, including 11 fishermen, 3 entrepreneurs, and 11 fisherman's wives, In the manufacture of anchovy sauce, raw materials are red chili, garlic, shallots, shrimp paste and dried puri fish. The method of implementation is through training and direct practical assistance. People have different tastes in spicy chili products, according to the training findings, with 54 percent preferring extremely spicy, 33 percent preferring spicy, and 8% preferring not spicy. The outcomes of the chili processing training, on the other hand, produced a tasty product that can be preserved for a long time and is well received by the general public.

Abstract

handline is an environmentally friendly and low-cost fishing gear. This fishing gear can be modified so that it can reduce the operational and environmental impact of service partners as many as 10 people are representatives of handline fishermen, Pulau Raam Village. The material given is in the form of understanding sustainable fisheries, shutter fishing, and iradium squid fishing. Evaluation of the results of socialization by conducting question and answer interactions was obtained. Most of them understood the material given.
