Abstract

Orphans are a special group of children who are generally marginalized and vulnerable to mental disorders. Efforts that can be made are to provide education about the importance of maintaining mental health as an effort to improve mental health. So that education can be easily understood by school age children, education needs to be delivered using varied media, namely pop-up book media because pop-up books provide surprises on every page which will make the story even more real. This research aims to determine the effect of using pop up book media on the mental health of school-aged children. This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research using a pretest-posttest control group design approach with 20 respondents divided into 10 intervention groups and 10 control groups. Data measurement with the SDQ instrument. Univariate data analysis using frequency distribution. Bivariate analysis uses paired t-test. The results of mental health research after being given pop-up book media were that in the intervention group, 10 respondents were in the normal category (100%) while in the control group 8 respondents were in the abnormal category (80%) and 2 respondents were in the borderline category (20% . which was tested using the paired t-test, the p-value was 0.001 or p < 0.05. This shows that there is a significant difference in mental health before and after being given education using pop up book media. There is a significant influence between mental health before and after being given pop-up book media at the Sumatra Rindang Foundation. It is hoped that the Sumatra Rindang Foundation can develop pop-up book media for a more interesting and effective learning process.

Abstract

The development of medical services is undergoing a period of transformation towards digitalization. One form of medical services development in Indonesia is electronic medical records. Electronic Medical Records can help facilitate health services, but on the one hand, Electronic Medical Records can potentially pose a risk of patient data leakage. The purpose of the study is to analyze the responsibility of hospitals in the management of Electronic Medical Records and analyze the legal protection of patients in maintaining the confidentiality of Electronic Medical Records data. This research is a type of normative legal research with a Case Approach and a Statue Approach. The method of data collection is through literature study, and data analysis techniques are used through qualitative descriptive analysis. The research results stated Hospital's accountability in the management of Electronic Medical Records is to apply the principles of data security, restrict access to Medical Records, and store data. Meanwhile, the legal protection of patients to maintain the confidentiality of Electronic Medical Record data is the use of electronic signatures as a verification tool and provides criminal sanctions for violators in the form of fines, imprisonment, and dissolution of corporations.

Abstract

Background: Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a leading cause of childhood blindness, driven by aberrant retinal vascular development in preterm infants. While hyperglycemia is a recognized risk factor, its impact may vary depending on its timing relative to the biphasic pathogenesis of ROP. This study aimed to generate a hypothesis regarding the differential association of hyperglycemia on postnatal day 1 versus day 7 with the incidence of ROP in a high-risk neonatal population. Methods: We conducted a retrospective, cross-sectional, hypothesis-generating study at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. Medical records of 68 preterm (<37 weeks gestation) and low-birth-weight (<2500 grams) infants who underwent ROP screening were reviewed. The exposures of interest were hyperglycemia (blood glucose >125 mg/dL) on postnatal day 1 (D1) and day 7 (D7). The primary outcome was the diagnosis of any stage of ROP. Statistical analysis involved Chi-square tests and exploratory multivariate logistic regression to adjust for select confounders. Results: Of the 68 infants included (mean gestational age 30.5 ± 2.2 weeks, mean birth weight 1447.5 ± 373.0 grams), 11 (16.2%) were diagnosed with ROP. Hyperglycemia was present in 29.4% of infants on D1 and 13.2% on D7. In logistic regression analysis, a strong statistical association was observed between hyperglycemia and ROP for both D1 (Adjusted Odds Ratio [AOR] = 55.7; 95% Confidence Interval [CI]: 5.1–611.0; p=0.001) and D7 (AOR = 74.5; 95% CI: 9.0–613.4; p<0.001). However, the profoundly wide confidence intervals indicate significant statistical instability and imprecision. Conclusion: This study found a strong, albeit statistically imprecise, association between hyperglycemia on both the first and seventh day of life and the incidence of ROP. These findings support the hypothesis that the timing of glycemic dysregulation may be critical, potentially impacting different phases of ROP pathogenesis. The results, while preliminary, underscore the need for larger, prospective studies to confirm these associations and elucidate the role of glycemic control in ROP prevention.

Abstract

Social media has become a primary tool for Generation Z to express themselves and find inspiration. This study explores Rian Fahardhi's role as a role model for Generation Z through content analysis of his Instagram posts, @rian.fahardhi. Using qualitative methods and a content analysis approach, this study examines six Instagram posts selected based on the themes of inspiration, motivation, and behavioral guidance. The results show that Rian Fahardhi's content consistently conveys positive messages, such as the spirit of never giving up, creativity, and courage. Through visual and narrative elements, Rian successfully influences his audience's mindset, encouraging them to set and achieve life goals and internalize positive values. Based on George Gerbner's Cultivation theory, repeated exposure to these messages can shape Generation Z's perceptions of social reality and behavioral norms. This study highlights the importance of social media as a platform for building positive perceptions and the influence of public figures in shaping the identity and social values of the younger generation. This study contributes to the development of literature on the role of social media in shaping Generation Z's behavior. Keywords: Rian Fahardhi, Generation Z, Role Model, Instagram

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Jolly Phonics method in improving the maharah kitābah skills of students in the Arabic Language 1 class at Pondok Pesantren Al Qur’an Al Karim Palembang. Using a quasi-experimental design with data collected through pretests and posttests administered to 20 students, the results show that prior to the intervention, the students' maharah kitābah skills were categorized as moderate, with an average pretest score of 65.5. After the intervention, the average posttest score increased to 80.5, reflecting a 15% improvement. Hypothesis testing revealed a t-value of 4.016, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.711, thus confirming the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H_a) and rejection of the null hypothesis (H_o). The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, with a Z-value of -3.193 and an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.001. This suggests that the observed changes in the students' scores were not coincidental but rather the result of the intervention. Overall, this study concludes that the Jolly Phonics method is effective in improving maharah kitābah skills in students.
