Abstract

Architecture should have positive value, and create meaning as objects, culture, concepts, patterns and forms of interpretation and symbols of expression contained in human thought in response to architecture. A building, especially a building with a traditional concept, must reflect its identity as a product of vernacular architecture. With this, traditional architecture is a human effort to create an environment in the form of shelter to fulfill needs by considering traditional aspects and rituals passed down by previous generations. Proportions in the traditional architectural works of the archipelago are the basis of design, which is fundamental in building traditional architectural works. raditional architecture basically does not have a standard measuring tool (meters / feet) as a reference, at that time people used intuition based on culture and beliefs in building. For example, the application of human body anthropometry as a measuring tool. The size of the human body as a measuring tool is related to cosmological values, where traditional architecture believes that humans are a microcosm and a reflection of the macrocosm of the universe. The universe is believed to be divided into three parts, namely the upper realm, middle realm and lower realm. This is represented in the human body which is divided into the head (top), body (middle) and legs (bottom). These cosmological values are closely related to the application of traditional architecture, as the house is a reflection of humans and the universe. So that the proportions in traditional archipelago architecture are closely related to anthropometric theory as a measuring tool.

Abstract

Waste is a global problem in various countries, including Indonesia. Based on SIPSN data (2023), Indonesia has a total waste generation of 34,599,396.49 tons/year, with 51.11% of waste coming from household activities. Mandiro is one of the villages in Bondowoso Regency that still has problems with household waste management. Waste is simply dumped in vacant lots and water bodies that are not supposed to be used as landfills. This triggers environmental pollution that can also have an impact on health. The purpose of this training and mentoring activity is to improve the skills and knowledge of ELANGGHU Environmental Cadres related to waste management with maggots so that ELANGGHU Environmental Cadres can actively participate in reducing household waste in Mandiro Village. In this activity, two methods were used, namely education through providing materials and direct demonstrations to further improve the understanding of ELANGGHU Environmental Cadres. From the results of the pre-test and post-test, it can be seen that there is an increase in the knowledge of ELANGGHU Environmental Cadres regarding waste processing using maggots by up to 100%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the concept of hope proposed by Badiuzzaman Said Nursi can be implemented to address the crisis of public trust in politics in Indonesia. The crisis of political trust in Indonesia has become one of the issues hindering the development of democracy and public participation. Badiuzzaman Said Nursi, through his works, emphasizes the importance of hope as a spiritual force that can revive the spirit of social and political awakening in society. This study conducts a literature review of Nursi's concept of hope, along with a qualitative analysis of the factors influencing the crisis of political trust in Indonesia. The research also connects this concept with the Indonesian political context, exploring its relevance in offering solutions to political apathy and public disillusionment. The findings of this research conclude that Said Nursi addressing the crisis of trust in politics demands not only structural reforms but also a focus on spiritual and moral development. The findings of this study are expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of a more optimistic and constructive political discourse in Indonesia, with the hope that the spiritual values taught by Nursi can help revitalize public trust in the political system.

Abstract

Transparency in all sectors of government work programs is a very important element because it is directly related to public trust. In budget matters, where the main key must prioritize transparency, the focus of the government, in this case, the provincial government of DKI Jakarta as a Public Agency, is to present the management of the 2023 fiscal year budget (APBD) as public information. However, in reality, violations of transparency are still found within the DKI Jakarta provincial government agencies. This raises the question: what is the authority of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a Public Agency in presenting the management of the 2023 fiscal year budget as public information? This research uses a normative type of study with secondary data. The nature of the research is descriptive, and conclusions are drawn deductively. From the research results, the form of authority of the DKI Jakarta provincial government in presenting the management of the 2023 fiscal year budget as public information is through a user-friendly application called the Smart Planning & Budgeting System (SPB). This platform contains information related to the budget in DKI Jakarta, allowing the public to directly participate in supervising the provincial government's budget management.

Abstract

The electrocoagulation process is simple and environmentally friendly. It removes pollutants in peat water such as color and total organic carbon (TOC). In this study, the electrocoagulation process was designed, optimized, and investigated using central composite design (CCD) type response surface methodology (RSM). The effects of current density and reaction time in the range of 6–14 mA/cm2 and 30–90 minutes on the efficiency of color and TOC treatment were evaluated. The best results for removing output efficiency were 10 mA/cm2 for 30 minutes (98.1% color) and 10 mA/cm2 for 30 minutes (91% TOC). By comparing actual and predicted data, the optimum condition in this process occurs when the current density is 6.140 mA/cm2 and the reaction time is 76.042 minutes. The experimental data can be well described using the central composite design
