Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the management of population data at the village level. Conventional population information systems that still use manual methods often have various problems such as data inconsistency, difficulty in finding information, and slow administrative service processes. Therefore, this research aims to develop a web-based village population information system that can overcome these problems. This web-based population information system is designed using a waterfall system development approach. Data collection methods were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The system was built using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results showed that this web-based population information system is able to present population data accurately, quickly, and easily accessible by the community and village officials. With this web-based population information system, it is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of population data management at the village level, as well as provide convenience for the community in accessing information and obtaining population administration services.

Abstract

The research on tile classification using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) aims to improve and address issues in the sorting process within the tile manufacturing industry. The accuracy level in manual sorting processes is very low due to errors caused by visual limitations and physical fatigue. By leveraging the capabilities of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), a model was developed to classify tiles. This research involved several processes, including literature review, dataset collection, dataset splitting, preprocessing, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) design, training, testing, and result evaluation. The study used 69 tile images divided into three classes: KW 1, KW 2, and KW 3. The results of testing the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) on tile classification using 100 epochs with a data split of 90% training and 10% validation yielded an accuracy rate of 100%.

Abstract

The Screening Assist Information System v3.1 is a web-based application designed to support the substance abuse screening process at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Sidoarjo Regency. This system uses the ASSIST (Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test) method from the WHO as an early detection tool for substance use risks. The system was developed using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Waterfall model in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This information system was created using the PHP programming language and Mysql database. With its time efficiency, scoring accuracy, and data security, this system is an effective digital solution in supporting efforts to prevent and combat drug abuse in the Sidoarjo Regency. The system evaluation was conducted using the Blackbox Testing method, which showed that all features functioned properly, and the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method was used to measure user satisfaction with a result of 87.6% . This percentage reflects the expectation that students provided honest answers, so that the data obtained was close to the actual level of validity. Overall, the evaluation results indicate that the developed information system can serve as an effective, adaptive digital solution that supports professional and structured efforts to prevent and address drug abuse.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limitations of the raw material inventory management system in companies, which is still carried out manually. The lack of understanding and knowledge of information technology among employees is also a factor hindering the implementation of a more efficient system. This condition causes various obstacles, such as delays in recording, inaccurate data, and difficulties in real-time stock tracking. The purpose of this study is to assist companies in developing a more effective and efficient raw material storage system through the use of web-based information technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain information related to system requirements and problems faced by companies. Based on the results of the research, a web-based raw material storage information system has been successfully designed and developed that is capable of presenting real-time inventory data, recording the entry and exit of raw materials more accurately, and providing search and reporting features that facilitate decision-making by management. The implementation of this system has shown an increase in data recording efficiency, a reduction in input errors, and ease in tracking raw material stocks. Thus, the developed system can be the right solution to overcome the raw material management problems that the company has been facing.

Abstract

Simanta adalah aplikasi yang digunakan untuk melayani mahasiswa dalam pengelolaan Tugas Akhir mahasiswa. Diadakannya penelitian ini supaya aplikasi ini dapat melakukan pengiriman pesan notifikasi secara otomatis, pengiriman pesan secara otomatis menggunakan sistem Whatsapp API untuk menyampaikan pesan notifikasi atas aksi yang telah dilakukan dalam sistem. Dengan implementasi fitur notifikasi Whatsapp API pada SIMANTA didapatkan pengguna menjadi lebih mudah dalam menerima pemberitahuan terhadap aksi yang dilakukan pengguna dalam sistem SIMANTA. Metode Addie dipilih karena cocok bagi pengembangan sistem secara fleksibel dan efisien. Hasil penelitian membuat Sistem SIMANTA lebih praktis dan membuat pesan pemberitahuan lebih efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

The study investigates the utilization of data mining techniques, especially the Apriori algorithm and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) classification, in recommending appropriate learning methods based on student data. The purpose of this research is to analyze patterns and groupings in students’ behavior, preferences, and academic performance to support more informed and personalized educational strategies. The Apriori algorithm is used to identify frequent associations among learning related attributes, while KNN classification helps group students with similar learning characteristics. The analysis revealed that the digital learning method is the most preferred by students, with a percentage of 84.29%, followed by the traditional lecture method at 15.70%. These results reflect a notable trend toward technology-driven, flexible learning environments, although conventional approaches continue to hold relevance for a portion of learners. The research concludes that the integration of the Apriori algorithm and KNN clustering proves to be an effective analytical framework for facilitating adaptive learning. This approach allows educators and institutions to make data-driven decisions in tailoring instructional methods that align with the diverse needs and preferences of students.

Abstract

General Background: Rapid advances in information technology enable regions to disseminate tourism information through accessible digital platforms. Specific Background: Pasuruan Regency possesses diverse natural, cultural, culinary, and religious attractions but lacks an integrated system that presents comprehensive and user-participatory tourism data. Knowledge Gap: Previous tourism information systems mainly provided static information without community contribution and administrative validation features. Aims: This study develops a web-based tourism information system that allows users to submit destination data subject to admin verification. Results: The system was built using the waterfall method, successfully passed black-box testing with fully valid functions, and achieved a System Usability Scale score of 68.75, categorized as grade C (acceptable). Novelty: The platform integrates public participation in destination submission with an admin validation workflow within a structured tourism database. Implications: The system provides an accessible medium for tourists and supports local authorities and communities in disseminating tourism information to broaden visitor reach and regional economic activity.

Abstract

This test was conducted to assess the performance of the information system of the Language Center at Muhammadiyah University Sidoarjo using the COBIT 5 DSS domain framework. The audit aimed to evaluate the reliability and efficiency of the system in addressing operational issues such as limited website access and failure to print TOEFL certificates. Data collection involved interviews with unit leaders and technical observations. The results showed varying maturity levels from 2.1 (DSS03) to 4 (DSS06). Critical findings included the absence of a ticketing system and backup automation. Recommendations focused on implementing centralized incident management and cybersecurity training. This study provides a governance model for optimizing language service systems in higher education institutions.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has had a major impact on various aspects of government administration, including asset and inventory management. In Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency, inventory data recording is still done manually. This unintegrated system often causes data inconsistencies, difficulties in tracking goods, and inefficiency in the reporting and auditing processes. To overcome these problems, this study designed a web-based inventory information system using the Agile development method. The Agile method allows for gradual system development with user feedback at each iteration, making the system more adaptive to field needs. This system enables digital inventory recording, tracking, and reporting, thereby improving the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of asset management. Testing using the Black Box method showed that all system features, both from the user and admin sides, worked as expected with a 100% success rate. In addition, the results of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) showed a user satisfaction rate of 95.6% from five respondents, consisting of two administrators and three staff members. The developed system is expected to improve operational effectiveness and support better decision-making in asset management at the sub-district level.

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan rumah tangga merupakan fondasi penting dalam mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Salah satu upaya strategis untuk memperkuat ketahanan pangan adalah melalui pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dengan budidaya tanaman semusim. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas anggota Ranting Aisyiyah Desa Sugiwaras dalam budidaya tanaman semusim sebagai upaya mendukung ketahanan pangan dan perekonomian keluarga, sekaligus berkontribusi pada pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik lapangan dengan pendekatan sekolah lapang (field school), pendampingan intensif, serta evaluasi dan keberlanjutan program. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 25 orang anggota Aisyiyah yang masing-masing memperoleh 30 bibit tanaman semusim, terdiri atas 10 bibit cabai, 10 bibit terong, dan 10 bibit tomat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta mampu membudidayakan tanaman hingga tahap panen dengan tingkat keberhasilan yang tinggi. Hasil panen dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga sehingga mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pasokan dari luar lingkungan. Selain itu, sebagian peserta memperoleh surplus hasil panen yang dijual di lingkungan sekitar dan memberikan tambahan pendapatan rumah tangga. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis budidaya, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kesadaran dan kemandirian masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan dan ekonomi. Dengan demikian, pelatihan budidaya tanaman semusim berbasis pemberdayaan perempuan terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga dan mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di tingkat lokal.
