Abstract

Penelitian ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil observasi peneliti dengan menindaklajuti elas kurangaktif, sedikit siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini disusun secara alami dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif TGT atau Team Game Tournament pada siswa kelas IV-B UPT SDN 147 Gresik. Penelitian inimenggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri atastahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek peneltian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas IV-B UPT SD Negeri 147 Gresik tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 29 orang. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi, tes,dan dokumentasi. teknik analisis data secara kuantitatif untuk menganalisis keaktifan siswa dengan hasil tes serta hasil observasi kegiatan pembelajaran setelah memakai model pembelajaran kooperatif Team Game Tournament (TGT). Hasil penelitian pada siklus I menyatakan bahwa hasil rata-rata keaktifan siswa sebesar 59,48% sedangkan pada siklus II memperoleh persentase sebesar 76,37% Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif TGT (Team Game Tournament) dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada kelas IV-B di UPT SD Negeri 147 Gresik.

Abstract

Program peningkatan kesadaran budaya Indonesia melalui pelatihan tari tradisional dilaksanakan di Pondok An Nahdlah, Selangor, Malaysia, yang mayoritas fokus pada pendidikan agama dan moral. Program ini bertujuan mengatasi kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap budaya Indonesia, terutama tari tradisional, dengan berbagai kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan pengaruh budaya asing. Pelatihan tari Saman dipilih karena gerakannya sederhana dan mengandung nilai kebersamaan. Program ini bertujuan memperkuat identitas budaya siswa, serta menumbuhkan kebanggaan dan kesadaran terhadap budaya Indonesia. Setiap sesi pelatihan berfokus pada sejarah, filosofi, dan sinkronisasi gerakan tari. Tahapan pelaksanaan melibatkan koordinasi, pengenalan tari, latihan dasar, serta evaluasi berkala. Hasil program menunjukkan dampak positif berupa peningkatan kesadaran budaya, apresiasi budaya, dan kohesi sosial. Santri lebih memahami dan bangga terhadap budaya Indonesia. Program ini juga memperkaya pengetahuan santri dan memperkuat komunitas di pondok, dengan nilai-nilai disiplin dan kerja keras yang diinternalisasi selama pelatihan.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca merupakan keterampilan dasar yang penting bagi siswa kelas 1 SD. Namun, banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenali huruf, mengeja, dan memahami bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas penggunaan permainan kartu kata dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas 1 di SDN 267 Gresik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 15 siswa kelas 1 yang diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran menggunakan permainan kartu kata. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest yang mengukur empat aspek kemampuan membaca, yaitu kelancaran, ketepatan, pelafalan, dan intonasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas permainan kartu kata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest siswa sebesar 57 meningkat menjadi 87,2 pada posttest, yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca siswa. Simpulan menunjukan kemampuan membaca siswa dalam perhitungan N-Gain menghasilkan skor rata-rata sebesar 0,7404 atau 74,04%, yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup efektif.

Abstract

Dental and oral problems in Indonesian children are caused by low knowledge, comprehension, and behavior that ignores dental and oral health maintenance, resulting in tooth and mouth damage. This activity is in partnership with SD Yapita which is a school supported by the Faculty of Dentistry, Hang Tuah University. The aim is to prepare parents and teachers of Yapita Elementary School students to become ambassadors for oral and dental hygiene so that they can become mentors for their children or students. This method is carried out online and offline from classes 1 to 6 using a simple random sampling technique. The results were statistically analyzed using the Paired T-test. The average pre-test score from the teacher was 60 and the parents were 56, while the post-test result from the teacher was 84 and the parents was 85. The results of the data analysis were normally distributed (p>0.05) followed by the Paired correlation test T-test. The results show a relationship between the pre and post-test of teachers and parents. This shows that this educational activity can increase the knowledge of teachers and parents so that they can become ambassadors of oral and dental hygiene to their children or students.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of lapbook media on the early reading skills of grade 1 students. A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group was applied, involving 50 students divided into an experimental class (n = 26) using lapbook media and a control class (n = 24) using books and PowerPoint. The data were collected through performance tests and analyzed with the Mann-Whitney test due to non-normal distribution. The results show that the experimental class achieved 96.15% mastery compared to 70.83% in the control class, with a significant difference confirmed by statistical testing (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that lapbook media has a strong positive effect on students’ early reading skills. Practically, lapbooks provide an engaging, interactive medium that supports literacy development, offering teachers an effective alternative to conventional instructional tools in elementary education.

Abstract

Backgroud: Candida species are the most common cause of systemic and mucosal diseases. Candida species cause bloodstream infections that are more than 90% fungal. Objective: There are variations of candida worldwide, and 15 different species recognize pathogens and cause human diseases. The aim of the of the study to identify variation of Candida in patient installation of Endotracheal Tube in intensive care unit. Materials and Methods: We conducted this research using a cross-sectional design. The collect sample during 6 months perform by single oral medicine specialist. Identification variety of Candida using VITEK 2® compact.  Result: Data was obtained using a sample of 83 patients who installed an endotracheal tube unit in Dr. Ramelan Naval Hospital from March until August 2024. Results: There was a sample of 51 (61.4%) infected with Candida, with various candida being Candida albicans 39 (76.5%), Candida Tropikalis 6 (11.8%), Candida ciferri 3 (5.9%), Candida Lucitaniae 2 (3.9%), and Candida Gullermondii 1 (1.9%). Conclusion: This study identified Candida Ciferii as a new variant of Candida in this locus, known as a new resisten of fluconazole.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relevance of Ki Hajar Dewantara's motto as a teacher's guide. The method applied in this research is qualitative by conducting literary research using journals and books available on the internet. The research results show that the three mottos coined by Ki Hajar Dewantara are Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani. Having a strong bond, with the teacher as a facilitator must be a role model for students, because in the world of formal education, it is the teacher who controls the students' cognitive, emotional and psychomotor development. There is a very strong influence on the education system in Indonesia which no longer applies like the education system outside but has implemented a character and culture education system in the world of education. Due to the existence of an education system, an ideal educator can become a role model for his students so that they can determine the true future of the world.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the ethnomathematics approach to flat shape properties in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students. The research method used is quantitative with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection technique used in this study is a critical thinking skills test with the instrument used being a critical thinking skills test sheet. Data analysis in this study utilized the N-Gain test, assisted by Microsoft Excel to process the obtained data. Based on the critical thinking ability test calculated using the N-Gain formula, the overall average N-Gain was 0.7673, with an N-Gain score of 76.7%. This indicates that students' critical thinking abilities are in the high category, as they fall within the range of G >70. Based on the results of this study, the ethnomathematics approach is effective in improving critical thinking skills in fourth-grade mathematics learning. This study recommends that the ethnomathematics approach be considered more broadly as an innovative strategy in mathematics learning to improve students' critical thinking skills. It is important for teachers to integrate local cultural contexts into teaching materials, creating more relevant and meaningful learning experiences for students. It is hoped that students will become more active in understanding mathematical concepts through their own cultural lens. For future research, it is recommended to expand the scope of the study by exploring variations in ethnomathematics contexts and applying them to different educational levels and materials.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the role of parenting patterns to help shape a child's character and interest in learning. Some children have bad behavior in learning, lack of interest in learning, lack of learning support to achieve achievements. Sometimes the child needs to be given a good example so that he can be a good example, the child also needs support or appreciation to achieve achievements and how a parent's efforts to prevent and solve the problem of low interest in learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the factors of low interest in learning in students at SDN 158 grade 3 Gresik Regency and to describe the role of parenting patterns to increase interest in learning students at SDN 158 grade 3 Gresik Regency and to describe the obstacles for parents to carry out parenting patterns to increase interest in learning at SDN 158 grade 3 Gresik Regency. The type of research used is a descriptive qualitative approach. This study uses data collection techniques with Observation, Interviews, and Documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The data validity test used in this study is time triangulation. The results of the study of the role of parenting patterns in increasing interest in learning in grade III students at SDN 158 Gresik. The factors for low interest in learning are many and varied, including: 1) internal factors including children are not interested in learning because they tend to prefer watching television, children are not interested in learning because they tend to prefer playing with cellphones, children are not interested in subjects, lack of discipline from parents for children and lack of motivation to learn from parents to increase children's interest in learning. 2) external factors that include a bad environment that makes children influenced by bad things, giving freedom to children without any limits so that children are more interested in playing than studying, not providing discipline to children so that children always break the rules, lack of parental attention to provide learning motivation so that children have no interest in learning. The efforts of parents in increasing interest in learning are by: 1) providing opportunities to play but with limits, 2) providing rules for children to be disciplined, 3) providing learning motivation to children so that they have an interest in learning.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of examining the effect of the Place Value Numeracy Board learning media (PENAT) on the learning interest of 3rd-grade students, particularly in mathematics with the topic of place value. This study employed a quantitative research approach using a Pre-Experimental Design type: One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample consisted of all 22 students in the 3rd grade, or in other words, a saturated sampling technique was used, as the entire population was included as the sample. Data collection in this study used a learning interest questionnaire. For data analysis, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test was used because the sample size was small (less than 30 students). Meanwhile, for hypothesis testing, the Paired Sample T-Test was used. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the average learning interest score of 3rd-grade students before the treatment (pretest) was 46.54, while the average score after the treatment (posttest) was 52.09. This means that the average learning interest in mathematics increased by 11.92%. Moreover, the result of the t-test using SPSS version 26 showed a significance value of 0.008, which means 0.008 < 0.05 (H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted). However, the correlation value between the pretest and posttest data was found to be -0.276, indicating a weak relationship between the two tested variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PENAT learning media has an effect on the mathematics learning interest of 3rd-grade students, but the effect is considered weak. This is due to the lack of a strong relationship between the two tested variables, indicating that PENAT media has only a weak influence on students’ interest in learning mathematics.
