Perkembangan gaya hidup manusia terus mengalami perubahan seiring berjalannya waktu.

Socio-cultural changes experienced by students from out-of-town areas are a social phenomenon called culture shock. Culture shock causes individuals to experience anxiety and frustration about the events they experience, and one of the factors predicted to be related to increasing or decreasing culture shock is resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and culture shock in out-of-town students from out-of-town areas in Salatiga. The method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional bivariate correlational design. The research participants were 60 students from out-of-town areas in Salatiga using the accidental sampling technique. The measurement used a resilience scale (? = 0.926) and a culture shock scale (? = 0.905). The results of the study proved that resilience was significantly negatively related to culture shock (r = -0.773 and sig. 0.000; p <0.01). This means that when there is an increase or decrease in resilience, it will be followed by a decrease or increase in culture shock in out-of-town students from out-of-town areas in Salatiga.

Progress over time has encouraged the gay community to be more open about their sexual identity. However, there is still stigma and societal disacceptance because they are considered deviant from religion, law and culture. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-disclosure and the psychological well-being of homosexuals (gay) in Central Java. The method used is quantitative with a correlational design. A total of 237 homosexuals (gay) in Central Java were used as research participants using incidental sampling techniques. Research measurements used the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (α = .92) and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (α = .543-.828). The research data analysis method uses the product-moment correlation test from Karl Pearson. The research results show a significant, but not strong, positive relationship between self-disclosure and psychological well-being (r = .147 and sig. = .012). This indicates that self-disclosure is one of the factors related to increasing the psychological well-being of homosexuals (gays) in Central Java. The implication of this research is the need for self-disclosure for homosexuals (Gay) to vent all the feelings and inner pressure they experience and make them feel more relieved to improve their psychological well-being to live their lives well for the sake of past goals. Future research should be able to develop research by looking for other factors related to self-disclosure and psychological well-being.

Adolescence is an age that is very vulnerable in the development process because adolescents have not yet reached the cognitive and physical maturity of adolescence. At this level, teenagers are very vulnerable to experiencing setbacks, and one of them is due to the terrorist conflict they have experienced. This condition has a huge impact on the life process and mental health problems of teenagers. One of the things needed is for teenagers to become resilient, so they can recover from difficult and risky times. This research aims to examine the portrait of the resilience of teenagers living in areas prone to terrorist conflict. The method used is qualitative descriptive phenomenology. Participants involved 3 teenagers living in terrorist conflict areas who used the snowball sampling technique. The data collection process was carried out through structured interviews. The research results show that in general, resilience in adolescents living in areas prone to terrorist conflict can be achieved. Researchers also discovered a new factor influencing resilience: belief in religion, which has been the guideline for individual life.

The COVID-19 pandemic appears to have spread and is having an impact on educational institutions' learning processes, as well as producing numerous psychological pressures that are detrimental to students' academic welfare. Students are subjected to continuous stress, which, if not addressed promptly and correctly, can lead to worsening and potentially dangerous problems. Therefore, the coping mechanism program is thought to be capable of assisting students in developing and executing optimal stress management methods in all academic activities. From January to May 2021, students from Barana Toraja Utara Christian High School class X-XII participated in community service activities (PkM). The exercise took the form of coping mechanism training . The results of the activity imply that students can use academic activities to develop coping skills in order to reduce stress and increase excitement and aggression in studying.

Parental social support is understood as emotional, instrumental, esteem, and informational assistance provided by parents to children in the context of interfaith dating relationships. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental social support and psychological well-being in young adults in interfaith dating relationships in Indonesia. Psychological well-being was measured using Ryff's psychological well-being scale consisting of six main dimensions, namely self-acceptance, positive relationships with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. The research method used was quantitative with a correlational design, with 208 young adult participants in interfaith dating relationships. The results showed a significant positive relationship between parental social support and psychological well-being (r = 0.493, p <0.01). The average parental social support received was 115.16, in the moderate category with a percentage of 56.25% of participants. The average psychological well-being was 84.36, also in the moderate category with a percentage of 57.21%. Parental social support was also positively related to each dimension of psychological well-being. These findings underscore the importance of parental social support in maintaining the psychological well-being of young adults facing challenges in interfaith relationships.

Suburban high school students often face considerable academic challenges due to limited school infrastructure, inadequate facilities, and a lack of educational support—conditions that can undermine academic development and resilience. While prior studies have explored the link between mindfulness and academic resilience, few have specifically examined this relationship within structurally disadvantaged school settings. This study addresses this gap by investigating the correlation between mindfulness and academic resilience among students in suburban high schools in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative correlational design, the study surveyed 535 students from four suburban schools in Semarang Regency, using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (α = .914) and the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) (α = .958). Spearman’s Rho analysis revealed a weak yet statistically significant positive correlation (r = .162, p < .001), with the non-reactivity facet of mindfulness showing the strongest association with resilience. Despite the small effect size (R² = .036), the findings offer novel insights into how mindfulness may serve as a psychological buffer for students navigating under-resourced academic environments. The results underscore the importance of contextually tailored mindfulness-based interventions and call for further research into additional factors that influence resilience in disadvantaged educational settings. This study contributes new evidence to the field by situating mindfulness within the lived realities of suburban learners and advancing the understanding of resilience in marginalized school populations.
