Abstract

Background:  Children’s physical and mental health depends on a balanced diet that provides adequate nutrients to support optimal growth and development. Objective: This study aimed to describe children’s dietary habits and their nutritional status. Methods: This study employed a descriptive method with a cross-sectional design involving 59 elementary school students. Data were collected using a dietary questionnaire and anthropometric measurements, and analyzed descriptively using frequency and percentage distributions. Results: More than half of the respondents had appropriate dietary habits (55.9%) and normal nutritional status (57.6%). Among children with appropriate dietary habits, the majority had normal nutritional status (93.9%). In contrast, children with inappropriate dietary habits were more likely to experience undernutrition (42.3%) and overnutrition (46.2%). Conclusion: Appropriate dietary habits are associated with better nutritional status among children. Therefore, balanced and regular food intake, including essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals, is important to support optimal child health.

Abstract

Background: Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) refers to cooperation among health workers from different professional backgrounds in providing comprehensive health services involving patients, families, and communities to ensure optimal quality of care. Adequate knowledge of IPC among health students is essential as a foundation for effective collaborative practice in the future. Objective: This study aimed to describe the level of knowledge of prospective health undergraduate students regarding interprofessional collaboration. Methods: This study employed a non-experimental quantitative design with a descriptive approach. A total of 50 prospective health undergraduate students were selected using quota sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The findings showed that the majority of respondents demonstrated a good level of knowledge regarding interprofessional collaboration. High levels of knowledge were observed in understanding the definition and benefits of IPC (both 86%). However, lower proportions of respondents demonstrated good knowledge regarding the objectives, factors influencing, and barriers to IPC, with good knowledge levels ranging from 50% to 60%. Conclusion: Although prospective health undergraduate students generally possess good foundational knowledge of interprofessional collaboration, gaps remain in understanding its practical objectives, influencing factors, and barriers. Future research is recommended to not only assess knowledge levels but also evaluate students’ readiness and competencies in implementing interprofessional collaboration in clinical practice.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Length of Stay (LOS) is the amount of time nurses spend attending to patients in the A&E department, starting when the patient arrives and ending when treatment is complete. A long Length of Stay (LOS) in the emergency department is caused by the large number of patients congregating there without being attended to, which makes patients uncomfortable and causes them to spend a long time there, leading to patient dissatisfaction and a poor hospital reputation. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between Length of Stay (LOS) and patient satisfaction levels in the Emergency Department at the Gebe Inpatient Health Centre. Method: The study design employed a descriptive-analytical method using a cross-sectional approach. The sample comprised 78 respondents. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analysed using Fisher’s exact test. Results: There is a significant correlation between Length of Stay and patient satisfaction in the Emergency Department at the Gebe Inpatient Health Centre, as determined by Fisher’s exact test, with a p-value of 0.000 < α 0.05. Conclusion: This study concludes that the Length of Stay (LOS) in the Emergency Department of the Gebe Inpatient Health Centre falls into the ‘short’ category and that patients are highly satisfied with the service received

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and company size on profit growth in pharmaceutical subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. The study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The research data are secondary data obtained from the company's annual financial reports, with a sample of four companies selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by the classical assumption test, coefficient of determination test, t-test, and F-test. The results show that partially GPM, DER, and company size do not significantly influence profit growth. This finding indicates that the level of gross profit margin, capital structure, and the size of company assets are not able to explain changes in profit growth individually in pharmaceutical subsector companies during the study period. The results suggest that profit growth in pharmaceutical companies is likely more influenced by factors other than the variables studied, such as operational efficiency, market conditions, business strategy, and external factors that influence company performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of firm size and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) on Return on Assets (ROA) at PT Astra International Tbk during the 2015–2024 period. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative method. The data used were secondary data obtained from the company's annual financial statements published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data analysis techniques included classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The results indicate that firm size has no significant effect on ROA, with a significance value of 0.340 > 0.05. Likewise, DAR has no significant effect on ROA, with a significance value of 0.223 > 0.05. Simultaneously, firm size and DAR do not significantly affect ROA, as indicated by a significance value of 0.306 > 0.05. The coefficient of determination shows that both variables explain only 28.7% of the variation in ROA, while the remaining 71.3% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings suggest that corporate profitability is not solely determined by firm size and debt levels.
