Abstract

Problems arising from suboptimal production planning can cause inventory management to be less effective and efficient in the company. The lack of integrated presentation of information also causes less efficiency in making decisions. This study aims to obtain the best kernel function forecasting model by predicting ground rod sales using the Support Vector Regression (SVR) method in order to determine the level of forecasting accuracy and the results of ground rod forecasting in the future which are presented in an optimal data visualization. This problem-solving is done with the Support Vector Regression method, which consists of linear kernel functions, polynomial kernel functions, and radial basis function (RBF) kernel functions with the Grid Search Algorithm. Based on the results of the best parameter search that has been done using the grid search algorithm, it can be concluded that the best kernel function forecasting model is a linear kernel function with a value of C = 100 and ε = 10-3. The accuracy of this forecasting model has a MAPE value of training data and testing data of 2.048% and 1.569%, where this value is the smallest MAPE value compared to the MAPE value of the other two functions. After getting the best model, forecasting was carried out within five months, obtaining an average of 6,647 monthly pieces. The results of forecasting and historical sales are reviewed in a visualization of Business Intelligence data so that it is well exposed, where the forecasting shows an increase from every month.

Abstract

Research-based elective courses can be an alternative to Student-Centered Learning (SCL) classes. Project-based learning (PjBL) can be an attractive learning method. PjBL was developed through lecturers' research interests to balance the tri dharma of higher education. This study aims to give an example of creating an elective course in an SCL class. Kansei Engineering in Affective Design (KEiAD) class is a PjBL elective course successfully implemented in the Industrial Engineering Department of Universitas Trisakti by appointing the lecturer's research. Course learning outcome (CLO) was developed through five major stages of the KEiAD framework: identifying Kansei users, selecting design concepts, identifying key design elements, formulating design, and prototyping. The first lecture had good results. Eleven groups containing two to three students could formulate 11 affective products. All students also succeeded in achieving the expected outcomes of this course. Several students showed interest in using KEiAD as a final project topic. In the future, a quota for elective courses that is too large, such as 32 students, is considered too large because the assistance in class is not intensive enough. Smaller student quotas and R studio alternatives can be considered for continuous improvement.

Abstract

Abstract

"KR" is a service-based business, a soccer school (SSB). This business was established to help students who enjoy soccer develop and train physically. A sports teacher and his colleagues founded the SSB. The current limited number of students has resulted in a lack of profit from one of the rented field locations over the past 2 years of operation. The SSB business remains unstable but is expected to grow. The purpose of this community service activity is to equip SSB managers with the knowledge and skills to formulate effective business strategies by developing an innovative, sustainable SSB business model. The results show that partners have successfully improved their understanding of the BMC concept, customer segments, and cost strategies. This Community Service Program is expected to serve as teaching materials, obtain IPR, and be published in a Sinta 4-accredited journal.

Abstract

Commercial noni powder generally has a bitter taste and an unpleasant aroma; therefore, lemongrass was added to improve its sensory characteristics. The purpose of this research was to obtain the best formulation for the physicochemical and sensory characteristics of noni juice and lemongrass juice powder drinks in accordance with SNI 01-4320-1996. The treatments consisted of MS1 (noni juice 85% and lemongrass juice 15%), MS2 (noni juice 75% and lemongrass juice 25%), MS3 (noni juice 65% and lemongrass juice 35%), and MS4 (noni juice 55% and lemongrass juice 45%). Data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. The result showed the juice ratio had a significant effect on yield, moisture content, ash content, total dissolved solids, dissolution time, antioxidant activity, and organoleptic. The optimum treatment in this research was MS3 (noni juice 65% and lemongrass juice 35%), which meets the quality requirements for powdered drinks as specified in SNI 01-4320-1996. The powdered drinks with the MS3 treatment had a yield of 43,26%, moisture content of 1,91%, ash content of 1,54%, total dissolved solids of 15,20°Brix, dissolution time of 25,92 seconds, and antioxidant activity of 67,48%. The product had slightly cloudy, a slightly noni aroma, a slightly lemongrass aroma, a slightly noni taste, a slightly lemongrass aroma, and a slightly lemongrass taste. The MS3 treatment has met the quality requirements for powdered drinks in accordance with SNI 01-4320-1996.
