Abstract

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of using YouTube Channel videos as a learning tool, with a specific focus on tire changing and wheel balancing content, to enhance student learning outcomes and prepare them for the Vocational Competency Exam at Vocational High Schools. The research was conducted at Dharma Bahari Vocational School in Surabaya, where blended learning was adopted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The research utilized a quantitative descriptive research design, incorporating response questionnaires from both students and teachers, as well as cognitive, affective, and psychomotor assessment instrument sheets. Data collection included questionnaires, tests, and observations, followed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The findings of the study indicated a significant positive impact of using YouTube Channel video media on student learning outcomes. This impact was evident through the noteworthy difference in student learning outcomes before and after the intervention. The significance value (p-value) in the t-test was 0.000, falling below the probability threshold of 0.05, signifying a substantial difference in the learning outcomes of students who utilized YouTube Channel video media. In conclusion, this research affirms that YouTube Channel can effectively serve as a supportive tool in blended learning and as a means of preparing students for vocational competency exams. as a result, the recommendation stemming from this research is to continue harnessing YouTube Channel video media for learning purposes and to explore the development of video content relevant to other materials.

Abstract

A structure used to protect the coast from damage due to the attack of sea waves, currents, reduce wave energy reaching the coast and change the rate of sediment transport along the coast. One of the beach protection structures is a breakwater. The breakwater is built to protect the waters behind it against wave attacks. Besides, it is also used to control abrasion that erode the coast. The planning location is on the beach of the Fish Auction Place (TPI) Ujung Batu Jepara, Jalan K.H. Sidiq Harun, Ujung Batu Village, Jepara Regency. With the coordinates -6.582469, 110.656976. This plan calculates the design wave height, dimensions, and analysis of the planned building using the sloping breakwater type. In calculations using the Hudson formula. The first alternative was obtained with a crushed rock weight of 650 kg and a tetrapod of 110 kg, with a protection layer of 1.82 m thick, 2.79 m wide and an elevation of 5.3 m. The second alternative has a material weight of 450 kg and 200 kg of crushed stone for the tetrapod, and has a protective layer thickness of 1.65 m, width of 2.47 m and elevation of 5.2 m. As for the third alternative, the crushed stone was 307.5 kg with a tetrapod of 132.5 kg with a protection layer of 1.44 m thick, 2.2 m wide and 4.75 m elevation.

Abstract

Retaining walls are a ground control technique that is very necessary to overcome landslides. As happened in the Tanjung Pakis Aji village area. It has steep slopes and there are indications that landslides often occur during the rainy season. The soil parameters that need to be known to plan soil retention walls for testing include specific gravity (Gs); 2.65 kN/m2, void number (e); 33.9, porosity 97.14, shear angle φ ; 29.71 ˚, soil cohesion (c) 24.5 kN/m2, dry soil volume weight (yd ) ; 1.18 kN/m3, wet soil volume weight (yb); 1.87 kN/m3, air content (Wn); 15.29%. Dimensional calculations, stability control, reinforcement of retaining walls are very important in planning retaining walls. The aim of this research is to plan a retaining wall at this location using a cantilever type retaining wall. The results show that the cantilever type retaining wall with dimensions H = 7 m, B = 3 m, T = 0.4 m, Tt and Th = 0.5, Lt = 1, Lh = 1.m, the cantilever is declared safe for the condition of the soil with a safety factor value of Fgs = 4.061 (safe), Fgl = 2.57 (safe), F carrying capacity = 6.62 (safe). From these calculations, reinforcement of types D19-250, D19-200, D19-200 can be obtained, with shrinkage reinforcement D13-100, D13-200.

Abstract

Dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan energi di Indonesia akibat pertumbuhan ekonomi dan populasi, banyak anggaran APBN dialokasikan untuk subsidi BBM. Namun, terdapat potensi besar untuk memanfaatkan limbah biomassa kelapa sawit sebagai sumber energi alternatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang kompor yang menggunakan briket kelapa sawit sebagai bahan bakar dan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengontrolan suplai udara mempengaruhi kinerja kompor tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan eksperimental melalui metode rancang bangun. Proses penelitian mencakup desain, pembuatan komponen, fabrikasi, dan pengambilan data. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mengukur suhu kompor setiap 30 menit, baik dengan sistem kontrol otomatis maupun tanpa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan 20 briket kelapa sawit pada kompor dengan sistem kontrol otomatis dapat mengurangi penggunaan bahan bakar tanpa mengurangi efisiensi suhu. Sistem otomatis ini berfungsi untuk mengatur suplai udara, yang berpengaruh pada kecepatan padamnya bahan bakar. Kompor berbahan bakar briket kelapa sawit terbukti efektif untuk memasak, dengan sistem kontrol yang dapat menghidupkan dan mematikan kompor sesuai kebutuhan, sehingga lebih ekonomis untuk penggunaan rumah tangga.

Abstract

Welding plays a crucial role in the agricultural industry, especially in the fabrication and maintenance of agricultural machinery. Agricultural machinery often requires the joining of thin, different materials, making it difficult with welding today. Welding is essential for assembling machine elements to create a durable and efficient machine. The purpose of this review literature is to review welding fabrication for the agricultural industry with references taken from google scholar and scopus. The review method by taking publication data reported from 2003 to 2024 to google scholar and scopus by taking CSV data through Publish or Perish software based on the sentence "Welding Fabrication for the Agricultural Industry" is then processed using minitab software. The results of the study show an increasing trend in citations and the number of authors continues to increase both on Google Scholar and Scopus. This shows that there is a great opportunity to conduct research on the topic of welding fabrication for the agricultural industry.

Abstract

Background: Based on Riskesdas data for 2018, the incidence of coronary heart disease in Indonesia is 1.5%. It is estimated that 1 in 15 Indonesians suffers from coronary heart disease. Aims: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and smoking habits with the incidence of coronary heart disease in patients at the Tanjung Pinang Health Center, Jambi City. Methods: The design used in this research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Tanjung Pinang Health Center, Jambi City in January-August 2023. The population in this study were patients at the Tanjung Pinang Health Center, Jambi City, totaling 428 and a sample of 79 respondents. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square statistical test. Result: The results of this study are that there is no relationship between nutritional status and coronary heart disease with a p-value (0.136), and there is a relationship between smoking habits and coronary heart disease with a p-value (0.001). Conclusions:  There is no significant relationship between nutritional status and coronary heart disease, but there is a relationship between smoking habits and coronary heart disease at the Tanjung Pinang Health Center.

Abstract

The utilisation of bio- slurry can improve sustainable agriculture and encourage increased community income, especially for dairy farmers at KPSP Setia Kawan Nongkojajar (www.kpspsetiakawan.com), Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia which is a cooperative body for dairy farmers one of the largest in Indonesia where some of the farmers have processed livestock waste into biogas with a total of approximately 1547 biogas installation units and will continue to grow considering the number of dairy farmer membersat KPSP Setia Kawan Nongkojajar about 7000 members. Therefore, in this study, the author aims to find the right bio-slurry marketing strategy to stimulate sustainable agriculture through processing livestock waste into biogas and bio-slurry. According to Li and Liu (2020), SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) is a business analysis technique used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats a company or organisation faces. The data collection method used in this research is interviews and questionnaires to 3 respondents who are represented by one of the heads of breeders at KPSP Setia Kawan Nongkojajar, biogas officers and third-party collectors, namely PT Pupuk Suburkan Negeri (PSN) as the first buyer of bio-slurry from KPSP Setia Kawan Nongkojajar, Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia by interviewing and filling out questionnaires to the three respondents for data collection in May 2023. The results of the research and discussion found that the bio-slurry marketing strategy at KPSP (Dairy Farmer Cooperative) Setia Kawan Nongkojajar Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia is an SO (Strenght and Opportunity) strategy is a marketing strategy that optimizesopportunities with the strengths possessed by KPSP (Dairy Farmer Cooperative) Setia Kawan Nongkojajar, Pasuruan, Indonesia with a total score of Strength 0.69 and Weakness 0.31 as IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) analysis Opportunity 0.51 and Treath 0.49 and quadrant EFE and IFE obtained Opportunity: 0.26, Y : Total (O-T), and X : Total (S-W) 0.66 Strength.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of school principals in improving the quality of teaching staff, influencing factors and efforts made by school principals. This study used a qualitative naturalistic approach with a descriptive type which took place at SMAIT Al Multazam 2 Linggajati, Kuningan using data collection techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that: 1). The Head of School Performance in general has shown good and optimal performance and meets the standards and indicators that have been set. This is explained in the "school work plan (RKS)" as the principal's plan for carrying out work programs and increasing teaching staff in schools. 2) There are several factors that influence the performance of school principals in improving the quality of teaching staff including the geographical conditions of the school, educators who teach not according to their educational background, and a conducive environment. 3) The Principal has made efforts to improve the quality of Educators through empowerment activities and school programs such as academic supervision, subject teacher deliberations (MGMP), self-evaluation (EDS), In House Training (IHT) and entrepreneurial activities intended for educators and students. Based on the research results, it can be interpreted that the principal has done his job optimally in improving the quality of teaching staff through supporting activities to improve the quality of teaching staff and based on national education standards.

Abstract

The development of the world of Islamic education in Indonesia also includes Islamic boarding schools, Hasyim Asy'ari Bangsri Jepara Islamic boarding school is one of the best Islamic boarding schools, to support the smooth teaching and learning, it is necessary to have adequate student facilities and facilities. This research aims to help fulfill the capacity of santri facilities and infrastructure at the Hasyim Asy'ari Bangsri Jepara Islamic boarding school. The building structure calculations were reviewed for dead loads, live loads and earthquake loads using the SAP 2000 program. The structural calculations carried out included roofs, floor plates, beams, columns, stairs, sloofs and foundations. The building planning location is Jl. Jepara-Bangsri No. 9, Krasak Bangsri, District. Bangsri, Kab. Jepara, Central Java 59452. From the structural planning, the roof structure is obtained with 2L steel trusses 50.50.7, floor plate 130 mm ∅ 12-100, beam B1 500x300 mm 10 D19, beam B2 400x250 mm 10 D19, column K1 500x500 mm 18 D19, column K2 400x400 mm 12 D19, ladder plate thickness 150 mm ∅ 12-150, sloof 500x300 mm 9 D19, pile cap foundation 160x160x60 mm, pile D30 cm 6 m long, with concrete quality (f'c) = 30 MPa, reinforcement quality (fy) = 400 MPa and (fy) = 240 MPa. The programs used are Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Autocad, SAP 2000, and SketchUp.
