Abstract

Indonesia is a country with people's backgrounds from various cultures, races, ethnicities, and beliefs. Cultural heritage by the community is applied to everyday life both in interacting with other people and in carrying out daily activities such as cultural rituals and beliefs which are the basis and guidelines for life that cannot be separated from individual development. Counseling teachers/counselors who work in communities with diverse cultures should have multicultural counseling competencies in terms of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. One of them is multicultural awareness to provide guidance and counseling services that are by the counselee's needs. The purpose of this research is to get a picture of the multicultural awareness of Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University. Respondents in this study amounted to 315 students. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method that analyzes the level of multicultural awareness and comparative techniques to compare between male and female students. The results showed that students had a moderate level of multicultural awareness, students very high, students moderate, students were in a low category, and students is very low. The results of the comparison study show that differences in multicultural awareness of female students are higher than that of male students.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' learning interest through the implementation of information services using audio-visual media in class VIII.3 of SMP Negeri 57 Palembang for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a Guidance Service Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Layanan/PTL) conducted in two cycles, involving 30 students as the subjects. Data analysis techniques used include percentage calculations and paired T-Test analysis. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning interest in each cycle. In the pre-test stage, the average score was 90.6 with a percentage of 57% (moderate category). After the intervention in the first cycle, the average increased to 109.4 (68%, high category), and in the second cycle, it further increased to 130.4 (82%, high category). This improvement indicates that information services delivered through audio-visual media have a positive impact on enhancing students' learning interest. Therefore, guidance and counseling services, particularly information services using audio-visual media, can be an effective strategy to foster student interest and active engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Pemahaman terhadap manajemen waktu merupakan pengetahuan penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik untuk mengoptimalkan proses belajar dan mencapai hasil yang optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat keefektifan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan Problem Based Learning dalam membantu peserta didik di SMPN 7 Palembang lebih memahami manajemen waktu. Desain yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan bimbingan dan konseling (PTBK) dan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen pre test dan post test. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik N-Gain Score untuk membandingkan nilai pretest dengan posttest pemahaman manajemen waktu peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata skor pre test sebesar 46,25 meningkat menjadi 86,25 pada post test dan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,77 tergolong dalam kategori tinggi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok metode problem based learning efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap manajemen waktu peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-disclosure of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 18 Palembang. This study is descriptive quantitative with a survey design. The sample in this study consisted of 201 students selected using proportional random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a self-disclosure scale with a reliability of 0.852. Data analysis used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The results showed that student self-disclosure varied. There were 14 students with very high self-disclosure (7%), 44 students with high self-disclosure (22%), 77 students with moderate self-disclosure (38%), 55 students with low self-disclosure (27%), and 11 students with very low self-disclosure (5%). Based on these research results, it can be understood that the self-disclosure of students in grade X at SMA Negeri 18 Palembang is generally in the moderate category with a mean of 108 and an achievement level of 38%. This study produced a valid and reliable instrument that can be used to collect self-disclosure data, and self-disclosure data can be used as a basis for creating guidance and counseling service programs.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di Kota Prabumulih bekerjasama dengan Musyawarah Guru BK SMP Prabumulih yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru BK/Konselor SMP di Kota Prabumulih dalam implementasi Kurikulum merdeka belajar dan P5 dalam pelaksanaan Bimbingan dan Konseling. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan bentuk ceramah, tanya jawab, focused group discussion, dan project based learning. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan peningkatan poin pemahaman yang sangat signifikan pada hasil evaluasi posttest dan kemampuan dalam menyusun modul proyek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila dalam layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling.

Abstract

This study provides a theoretical investigation into the multidimensional impacts of bullying on students’ academic and social activities within elementary schools. Utilizing a literature review approach, this paper synthesizes findings from academic journals, educational reports, and media publications to explore how bullying affects students’ learning engagement, classroom participation, and mental well-being. Documentation methods were employed to collect and analyze relevant sources, enabling a conceptual understanding of bullying as one of the major ethical and psychological challenges in education. The findings reveal that victims of bullying often experience decreased academic performance, emotional distress, and social withdrawal due to persistent fear and anxiety in school environments. This study contributes to the theoretical and practical discourse on creating safe learning environments and highlights the necessity of preventive and intervention strategies to promote anti-bullying awareness among educators and policymakers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh fenomena rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa meskipun memiliki kemampuan akademik yang memadai, yang berdampak pada partisipasi dan hasil belajar. Metode penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus, melibatkan 30 siswa sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar dan dianalisis menggunakan Paired Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar dari pretest (46,06) ke post-test Siklus I (63,33) dan Siklus II (70,13), dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa PBL efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar melalui pendekatan kontekstual dan berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis PBL dapat menjadi strategi inovatif untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa. Pembaca diharapkan mempertimbangkan integrasi PBL dalam praktik bimbingan konseling untuk mengoptimalkan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Emotion is a response shown by an individual to an event or stimulus that can affect his mental state. These emotions require control within the individual to be able to produce positive behavior, feelings and mental states in the process of emotional regulation. Measuring emotional regulation is needed to be able to describe a person's emotional control state. The aim of this research is to produce a valid and reliable emotional regulation scale. This research method is a research and development method with the ADDIE model. The population in this study was 2996 Class XI high school students in Ilir Barat 1 District, Palembang City. The total sample for this research was 102 respondents taken randomly. This research data processing uses SPSS with the product moment formula and factor analysis with a confirmatory factor analysis approach. The results of the research show that the content validity of experts states that 95% of the scale is suitable for use, and the emotional regulation scale prepared is constructively valid with 45 items with a Cronbach's alpha reliability value of 0.948. It was concluded that the emotional regulation scale was suitable for use with a larger and more diverse group of respondents.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires guidance and counseling (BK) teachers to enhance their competencies and adapt to technological advancements, particularly in designing engaging and contextual service materials. This community service program aimed to improve the professional competence of BK teachers through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, as a tool for developing basic guidance service materials. The activity was conducted from October 22 to 25, 2025, at SMA Negeri Sumatera Selatan, involving 23 BK teachers from 20 schools in Palembang City. The implementation methods included workshops, hands-on training, mentoring, and evaluation through pretest and posttest. The results revealed an increase in participants’ average scores from 112.17 to 139.57, with an N-Gain score of 0.72 (high category). These findings indicate that AI-based training effectively enhanced teachers’ understanding and skills in developing creative and relevant basic service materials. Supporting factors included participants’ enthusiasm and institutional support from the Palembang BK Teachers Association (MGBK), while challenges such as late attendance and technical difficulties during the pretest were successfully addressed by the organizing team. Overall, this program contributed to strengthening digital literacy and professional competence among BK teachers in facing educational transformation in the era of artificial intelligence.Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru BK Melalui Penyusunan Materi Layanan Dasar Berbantuan Artificial IntelligenceABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi digital mendorong perlunya peningkatan kompetensi guru bimbingan dan konseling (BK) agar mampu beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi, khususnya dalam penyusunan materi layanan yang menarik dan kontekstual. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru BK dalam memanfaatkan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) berbasis ChatGPT sebagai alat bantu penyusunan materi layanan dasar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 22–25 Oktober 2025 di SMA Negeri Sumatera Selatan, diikuti oleh 23 guru BK dari 20 sekolah di Kota Palembang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan (workshop), praktik langsung (hands-on training), pendampingan, serta evaluasi berbasis pretest dan posttest. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor peserta dari 112,17 menjadi 139,57, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,72 (kategori tinggi). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pemanfaatan AI efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru BK dalam menyusun materi layanan dasar yang kreatif dan relevan. Abstract
