Abstract

Academic self-efficacy is part of social cognitive theory. Academic self-efficacy is an individual's belief in the ability to do a task for achieving optimal goals. The evolution of several developments of self-efficacy instruments found in Indonesia and foreign. But, the limitation of the academic self-efficacy instrument for adolescents encourages the researcher to develop the Adolescents’ Academic Self-efficacy Instrument (AASEI).Therefore, this study aims to develop the Adolescents’ Academic Self-Efficacy Instrument (AASEI) using the RASCH measurement model. The participants in this study were 656 high school seniors aged 15-18 years. The results revealed that the Adolescents’ Academic Self-efficacy Instrument (AASEI) had a good person reliability score (0.86), excellent item reliability (0.99), and a very good Cronbach's Alpha score (0.88). The results of the Rasch analysis revealed that 42 instrument items of Adolescents’Academic Self-Efficacy Instrument fulfill the requirements and can be used to measure adolescent academic self-efficacy in Indonesia.

Abstract

His study aimed to develop an instrument that will be used to measure the assertiveness of senior high school students. This quantitative study involved 300 senior high school students in Aceh. Based on an analysis of the relevant literature, this study developed 38 items that collectively described assertiveness. Data was collected using a assertiveness scale and analyzed using the Rasch model. The results show that 1) Cronbach's alpha value is 0.83 which means the interaction between item and person is in the very good category, 2) the item reliability coefficient is 0.99 where the item belongs to the special category, and 3) the person reliability coefficient is 0.83 which means that students respond consistently to each item. Based on the results above, we can see that 37 valid items and the other is invalid. Overall, it can be concluded that the assertiveness scale has good psychometric properties, and it can be used by counselors or counseling guidance teachers to measure students' assertiveness.

Abstract

In the 21st century, life is packed with challenges and the search for identity in an adolescent developmental phase; high school students are faced with the demands of a constantly changing environment, open and diverse opportunities and choices, and increasingly fierce competition. Therefore, students need to have self-direction and self-regulation skills to live their lives effectively and face their future in a more directed manner. Students with inadequate self-direction and self-regulation skills can encounter many problems and developmental experience confusion, indecision, and immaturity. This study aims to discover guidance and counseling strategies to help young students develop self-direction and self-regulation skills to undergo the learning process more effectively and independently. The research and development method was used. The respondents were ten school counselors and 643 high school students in the West Java Province of Indonesia. Research produces Self-Direction and Self-Regulation Skills Development Guidelines for High School Students. These guidelines are proven effective in fostering students’ self-direction and self-regulation skills, which include: initiative, autonomy, self-regulation, and responsibility. Keywords:  adolescence; a time of crisis; self-direction skills; effective learning process Di abad 21, kehidupan penuh dengan tantangan dan pencarian jati diri dalam fase perkembangan remaja; Siswa SMA dihadapkan pada tuntutan lingkungan yang terus berubah, peluang dan pilihan yang terbuka dan beragam, serta persaingan yang semakin ketat.

Abstract

This study aims to exploration of traditional crafts Tapis Lampung as ilustration STEM. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The results showed that (1) Science: as an illustration of the ability of scientific knowledge and biological acculturation processes found in animal motive that describe the elements of science, such as the Tapis Tuho motive which has dragon animal motives, aro wood, stars silver, and sasab titled. (2) Technology: as an illustration of new technologies emerging from globalization with the entry of Islam in Lampung, the implications for communication and traffic between the Indonesian archipelago so that the use of shipping transportation is needed, can be explored from the existence of a Tapis Single Ship which shows the diversity of forms and construction. (3) Technology: as an illustration of engineering technology that is developed through an design process by integrating other elements, it can be explored from the mountains motives, dragon ship motives, and hill motives that resemble bridges. (4) Mathematics: as a geometrical illustration of transformation, which can be expressed as a form of translation, rotation), reflection, and dilation.. Through the investigation of Tapis Lampung, it can be used as a source to disseminate and provide information about Indonesian local wisdom to the world.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of algebraic finger-based brain gym methods on improving student learning outcomes. This study uses grade VII students MTs. Al-Hidayat Gerning consisting of 4 (four) classes as population, then by cluster random sampling technique obtained class VII A and VII B as research samples. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, the independent variable is the algebraic finger-based brain gym method and the dependent variable is the increase in learning outcomes. Data collection using test techniques, with the research instrument in the form of a matter of description which amounted to 6 questions that have been tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and different power. Data analysis was performed using a t-test of 2 uncorrelated samples. The results revealed that the algebraic finger-based brain gym method has an influence on improving student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the increase in student learning outcomes after learning with the algebra finger-based brain gym method obtained an average of 56.25 while the improvement in the learning outcomes of the control class gained an average of 37.50. After testing the hypothesis with t-test 2 uncorrelated samples obtained tcount = 5.7774> ttable = 2.0017. So it can be concluded that the algebraic finger-based brain gym method affects the improvement in student learning outcomes
