Abstract

Ship production activities at the Shipyard Company require lifting and transporting aircraft to facilitate work, one of which is a crane. Crane operators work monotonously at the wheel of the crane every day for 8 hours or even more. Concentration is needed in this job. Concentration is a state in which a person focuses his attention on an object within a certain time. Loss of concentration in the operator can lead to mismatches in work and the worst risk is the occurrence of work accidents. This study aims to determine the relationship between mental workload, work stress, and motivation with the level of concentration in crane operators. The population of this study were 35 crane operators. Sampling using total sampling technique with the entire population sampled. Measurements used the NASA-TLX questionnaire to measure mental workload, Stress Diagnosis Survey to measure work stress levels, motivation questionnaire and Grid Concentration Test to measure concentration levels. Data analysis using the chi square test, with the results showing that the independent variables that have a significance value <0.05 are mental workload with a value of 0.009 and work stress with a value of 0.044. While the motivation variable has a significance value of 0.391. The conclusion obtained is that the variables associated with the level of concentration are mental workload and work stress, while the motivation variable has no relationship with the level of concentration.

Abstract

Sebuah perusahaan konstruksi memproduksi side dump trailer yang digunakan untuk mengangkut batu bara. Trailer ini mengalami kegagalan berupa retakan pada sambungan las di bagian lantainya. Sambungan las tersebut menggunakan material berbeda, yaitu baja Bisalloy 400 dan SM490YA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kegagalan tersebut dan memperbaikinya dengan mengkombinasikan elektroda, preheat, dan interpass guna meningkatkan sifat mekanis dan metalografi pada material baja Bisalloy 400 dan SM490YA. Pengujian tekuk dan makro dilakukan untuk mengetahui sifat mekanis dan metalografinya. Hasil pengujian tekuk menunjukkan bahwa hanya dua dari enam spesimen yang memenuhi kriteria keberterimaan, sementara empat lainnya memiliki diskontinuitas terbuka yang melebihi batas 3 mm. Analisis Makro menunjukkan kualitas hasil las pada setiap spesimen yang diuji. Penampang logam las pada variasi arus 80A menunjukkan adanya slag, namun semua hasil pengelasan tidak menunjukkan incomplete fusion. Katakunci: Bisalloy 400, Buffer Layer, GMAW, Interpass, Preheat

Abstract

Warga Desa Balun, Kecamatan Turi, Kabupaten Lamongan, saat ini masih minim pengetahuan dan keahlian dasar pengelasan. Di sisi lain, dunia industry menuntut tenaga kerja yang semakin terspesialisasi, terutama dalam proses dan mutu hasil las. Agar desa mampu bersaing, peningkatan kompetensi serta profesionalisme penduduk mutlak diperlukan-salah satunya lewat program pelatihan pengelasan dasar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dirancang mendukung pengembangan Desa Balun sebagai destinasi wisata religi sekaligus “Desa Pancasila yang dikenal karena toleransi nya yang tinggi berkat keberadaan enam rumah ibadah (Hindu, Buddha, Islam, Kristen, Katolik, dan Konghucu). Pelatihan pengelasan ditargetkan membantu memperbaiki serta membangun sarana-prasarana penunjang pariwisata tersebut. Riset dilakukan memakai pendekatan kualitatif-partisipatif melalui observasi lapangan, dan penyebaran angket. Hasilnya memperlihatkan bahwa pendampingan terstruktur mampu meningkatkan keterampilan warga memproduksi kerajinan berbahan logam, berdampak langsung pada kenaikan pendapatan. Penguasaan teknik pengelasan juga mempercepat pembangunan dan pemeliharaan fasilitas wisata, sehingga daya tarik kawasan religi kian tumbuh. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi dan pelatihan pengelasan terbukti efektif menumbuhkan partisipasi masyarakat serta meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas infrastruktur wisata di Desa Balun.

Abstract

Meningkatkan pemahaman tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sangat krusial, terutama bagi pekerja yang terlibat dalam lingkungan kerja berisiko tinggi seperti proses pengelasan. Risiko kecelakaan di sektor ini tidak hanya berpotensi merusak material, tetapi juga dapat menyebabkan cedera serius hingga mengancam nyawa. Salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesadaran dan pengetahuan terkait keselamatan kerja, khususnya dalam bidang pengelasan. Untuk itu, pelatihan mengenai pengenalan dan penerapan K3 perlu dilakukan secara terstruktur guna membentuk tenaga kerja yang sehat, aman, dan profesional. Program pelatihan ini menyasar warga Desa Balun dan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, mulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup prinsip dasar K3 dalam pekerjaan pengelasan dan praktik penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Seluruh proses dipersiapkan dengan matang agar pelatihan berjalan efektif. Harapannya, kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya keselamatan kerja, mengurangi potensi kecelakaan, dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan produktif di sektor pengelasan.

Abstract

Perusahaan galangan kapal telah menerapkan sistem izin kerja bagi pekerjaan rutin maupun non rutin, akan tetapiditemukan adanya ketidakefektifan dalam penerapan yang masih manual. Hal ini mengakibatkan prosespembuatan izin kerja membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan penyimpanan dokumen izin kerja menjadi tidakterstruktur. Untuk mengurangi jumlah penggunaan kertas serta mempermudah proses pengajuan, validasi, danpenyimpanan data izin kerja, peneliti membuat sistem informasi manajemen izin kerja berbasis android denganmenggunakan MySQL, Firebase, dan Android Studio. Fitur yang disediakan dalam sistem informasi ini antara lainpengisian job safety analysis, pengajuan dan perpanjangan izin kerja, pengontrolan masa izin kerja, pencarianriwayat registrasi berdasarkan kategori pekerjaan serta penyimpanan dokumen izin kerja. Pada program sisteminformasi ini dibedakan hak aksesnya menjadi 3 (tiga), yaitu Supervisi, Project Manager, dan HSE. Setiappengguna mempunyai wewenang yang berbeda-beda. Untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan terhadap pengunaansistem, maka dilakukan uji dengan menggunakan metode USE Questionnaire dan didapatkan hasil sebesar 92,9%yang berarti sistem informasi manajemen izin kerja ini sangat layak digunakan.

Abstract

This research discusses the method of making distribution pipes using the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) welding process, especially for pipes with spiral connections. The material used is API 5L X65. SAW pipes with spiral joints are more commonly used for low-pressure piping systems. However, in certain cases, the production of SAW pipes for Sour Service distribution requires special treatment. Sour Service pipes have a high level of corrosion and residual stress, so Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) is required to prevent Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC). HIC occurs due to the absorption and accumulation of hydrogen gas in the metal, causing the formation and growth of cracks, which is also influenced by residual stress. PWHT is applied to reduce residual stress to reduce the risk of corrosion. PWHT is a process to change the structure of the weld metal by heating the metal at a certain temperature and time. This research shows that variations in PWHT temperature produce an average residual stress that is not much different with less difference than 2%, In corrosion testing with the HIC method shows crack evidence but is still satisfactory NACE MR0175 criteria for pipe PWHT temperature variation conditions.

Abstract

Outboard Engine has been known and used as motor boat among of the residents of fisherman community in Tlocors village. Motor boats powered by outboard engine are not only used for fishing, but also used as marine tourism facilities. Considering the vital functional usage of outboard engine for Tlocor’s fisherman community and village community tourism groups  (Pokdarwis), for maintaining    economic livelihood, any interrupted items that happened during motor operation periods would be very significant impact on their daily life. Loss of income resulting from engine problem is the most of many potential cases occurred on the communities.   Hence, it is necessary to provide assistances for both Tlocors Communities, the fishermen, and village community tourism groups. Assistances were also considered part of the public service obligation to communities provided by the Institution.  Training on Outboard Engine Maintenance and Repair would become the scheme of the assistances. This tailor- made assistances would be targeted to both clusters. Better understanding and having a certain competency level on outboard engine maintenance and repair would have a significant value in order to empowering both communities, and become the main purpose of the assistance as well

Abstract

Research in the last decade, particularly in this research there are methods and steps for completion, namely 4 process steps, including: First of all, take samples and image data from the parts of the ship that are being repaired and maintained, Then, in making the prototype tool resulting from the coating, it is assembled using several tools, mini PC is installed with a web camera, next the image for the observation further processes and processed using the edge method contours detection with the help of cany to obtain the contrast and contour from the ship's hull. For next process, uses Neural Network for image creation processes taken from prototype plating or plating on observed ship parts. Some mixed results from the process. The images taken areand thenthe data obtained is processed and its form is observedfor shape, pattern,corrosion, contour and so on layers formed. There are two classifications of RGB and GLCM results, the rejected results can match the corrosion spot found on the hull, and the accepted results mean no corrosion spot found.
