Abstract

Teachers and students must learn how to pose problems effectively, hence there is a need for ongoing research on this topic. In order to identify the next topic that can be explored in the field of problem posing, this study aims to capture the latest research trends regarding problem posing over the last five years, starting from 2018-2023. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The results of this study are research on problem posing widely spread in various topics, including a) theoretical considerations of problem posing, b) the relationship between problem posing and other abilities, c) analysis of teacher problem posing abilities, d) analysis of students' problem posing abilities and e) learning design to improve problem posing skills. These findings indicate that the problem posing has been extensively researched by scholars. The development of teaching materials that involve problem posing and learning design to enhance prospective teacher problem posing skill are two potential area of future research.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PjBL) become one of the learning models which suitable for vocational school students. However, teaching materials that facilitate this learning are still limited. To answer this problem, community service activities in the form of seminars were carried out to strengthen the pedagogical competence of vocational school mathematics teachers in Central Lombok district in developing project-based learning teaching material content. The specific aim of this activity wat the vocational school mathematics teachers in Central Lombok district has a good understanding of designing types of projects and the steps for implementing this learning in the classroom. This activity was carried out by 15 mathematics teachers at 11 vocational schools in Central Lombok district as partner schools. The material discussed includes theory regarding the PjBL model. The results obtained in the questionnaire show that this seminar activity was able to provide teachers with knowledge regarding PjBL theory, selecting appropriate projects for students and how to implemented this learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Problem posing become one of the essential skills to promote in class. Meanwhile, there is still limited research on electronic teaching materials that integrated local wisdom to enhance student problem posing. The aim of this research is to investigated the perception of teacher about problem posing and the need to include local wisdom in electronic module. This research is descriptive research. The teachers who have implemented and have not implemented the teaching material to foster problem posing in Lombok Island, Indonesia become the subject of this study. The data was collected by questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire contains subject’s perception about problem posing and their need to integrate local wisdom in e-module. The data was analyzed by statistic descriptive and qualitative method. The majority of teachers believe that students need to enhance their problem posing skill. Furthermore, they require educational resources based on local wisdom, such as the Rinjani Geopark, to strengthen that skill. The findings of this study recommended that the development of an e-module to promote problem posing could be the next area of investigation..Keywords: problem posing, local wisdom, need analysis, teaching material, e-module. Kemampuan mengajukan pertanyaan (problem posing) menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki siswa di kelas. Namun, studi mengenai bahan ajar elektronik yang memfasilitasi pengembangan kemampuan ini masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi persepsi guru mengenai kemampuan problem posing dan kebutuhan mengenai bahan ajar elektronik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini dengan mengintegrasikan kerifan lokai di Pulau Lombok, Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru yang sudah dan belum pernah mengajar menggunakan bahan ajar yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kemampuan problem posing. Data diperoleh dari kuisioner dan wawancara. Kuisioner berisi pertanyaan untuk menggali persepsi subjek mengenai problem posing dan kebutuhannya mengenai bahan ajar elektronik yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan metode kualitatif. Mayoritas subjek guru meyakini bahwa siswa perlu meningkatkan kemampuan problem posing-nya. Lebih jauh, mereka memerlukan sumber belajar berdasarkan kearifan lokal sepergi Geopark Rinjani untuk memperkuat kemampuan tersebut. Selanjutnya, konstruksi bahan ajar elektronik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini menjadi potensi studi yang dapat diteliti.Kata kunci: problem posing, kearifan lokal, analisis kebutuhan, bahan ajar, modul elektronik.

Abstract

Seiring dengan semakin meredanya kasus COVID-19, pembelajaran secara luring mulai dilakukan. Namun, pembelajaran daring masih menjadi opsi yang cukup dipertimbangkan. Sementara itu, beberapa penelitian juga menemukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa daring masih dalam tahap yang memuaskan. Untuk mendapatkan sistem kelas yang terbaik diantara kelas daring dan luring, penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengivestigasi mengenai profil peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa daring dan luring serta membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan dari kedua kelas tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan pretes dan postes. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 60 orang pendidikan matematika. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan stattstika deskriptif dan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukan a) profil kategori peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa luring tersebar pada kategori sangat tinggi, tinggi, cukup, rendah dan sangat rendah berturut-turut sebanyak 7%, 17%, 48%, 21% dan 7%., b) profil kategori peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa daring tersebar pada kategori sangat tinggi, tinggi, cukup, rendah dan sangat rendah berturut-turut sebanyak 10%, 29%, 32%, 26%, dan 3%, c) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara peningkatan kemampuan berpikirk kritis mahasiswa yang belajar dengan sitem daring dan luring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMPN 1 Sakra pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experimental dengan desain yang digunakan adalah pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 siswa masing-masing kelas. Dengan kelas eksperimen pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL berbasis LKPD dan kelas kontrol pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembeljaran konvensional. Diakhir pembelajaran diberikan tes kepada kedua kelas diperoleh persentase ketuntasan kelas VIII B kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebesar 62,5% dengan kategori baik dan hasil belajar matematika siswa sebesar 75% dengan kriteria sudah tuntas dan persentase ketuntasan kelas VIII D kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebesar 37,5% dengan kategori rendah dan hasil belajar matematika siswa sebesar 43,75% dengan kriteria belum tuntas. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar matematika siswa berada pada kategori rendah berdasarkan uji N-gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, analisis data dan pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang peningkatannya rendah pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMPN 1 Sakra pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

The application of teacher-centered learning in one of the high schools in Mataram City resulted in low mathematical understanding skills in students. This is because teachers only use textbooks as learning tools and rarely use student worksheets. The purpose of this study was to develop valid and effective guided inquiry-based student worksheets. The type of research used is research and development using the 4D model which is carried out to the development stage. Data collection techniques used interview guidelines, learner response questionnaires, and mathematical understanding ability tests. The data analysis technique consisted of validity analysis and effectiveness analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the learner worksheet product developed obtained a score of 4.30 by 1 device expert validator with very valid criteria, then received a score of 4.71 by 1 material expert validator with very valid criteria and obtained a score of 4.44 by 1 learning expert validator with very valid criteria. Furthermore, the guided inquiry-based student worksheet is an effective learning tool because the percentage of classical completeness reached 77.78% and the percentage of student response scores was 83% with very good criteria. So, it can be concluded that the development of guided inquiry-based student worksheets is valid and effective for optimizing students' mathematical understanding skills.

Abstract

Guru matematika di NTB masih mengalami kesulitan membuat media pembelajaran berbasis digital untuk membantu visualisasi objek-objek geometri. Melalui wawancara yang dilakukan dengan salah seorang guru matematika SMP di Kota Mataram diperoleh hasil bahwa guru juga masih mengalami kesulitan untuk membuat media pembelajaran untuk memvisualisasikan materi-materi abstrak seperti kurva dan bangun ruang pada tingkat SMP. Media pembelajaran yang mempermudah visualisasi objek geometri seperti Geogebra masih minim digunakan di kalangan guru-guru matematika pada pembelajaran di kelas di Kota Mataram. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan penggunaan Geogebra sebagai media pembelajaran di SMP. Pelatihan dihadiri oleh 40 guru matematika yang mengajar di SMP negeri, swasta dan madrasah tsanawiyah. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga jenis, yakni pemberian materi, praktek terbimbing dan penugasan secara mandiri. Materi yang disampaikan diantaranya 1) pengenalan tools dalam Geogebra, 2) membuat Applet Geogebra untuk materi Fungsi Kuadrat Kelas IX SMP, 3) simulasi pengaplikasian applet Geogebra dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Seluruh peserta merasa bahwa materi dapat dipahami dengan baik, praktek terbimbing dapat dilakukan dengan lancar dan peserta juga merasa kegiatan ini relevan dengan kebutuhan guru.

Abstract

The understanding of partial-differential equation basic concept is the basic knowledge needed to understand and determine general solutions on partial-differential equations. From the observation on the partial-differential equation class, there are still some students who are unable to understand the basic concept of partial-differential equation. This study aims to discover how the development of interactive PowerPoint learning media is oriented to the basic concept understanding of partial-differential equation. This study was an R&D research using 4D model by Thiagarajan through some stages namely define, design, develop, and dissemination. The instruments used were media expert and material expert validation sheets, student and practitioner response questionnaires, and Quizizz-assisted tests. There were 14 slides on the results of interactive PowerPoint development which contained the title of materials delivered, the learning goals to be achieved, interactive activities, evaluation and references. The interactive PowerPoint learning media can be said to be valid by media expert judgments and material expert judgments, and is practical to use according to the results of student and practitioner response questionnaires. Interactive PowerPoint media is also effective in helping understand the basic concepts of PDP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh literasi numerasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aikmel tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 248 orang siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aikmel tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Adapun sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 71 orang siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes literasi numerasi dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rara-rata siswa memiliki kemampuan bepikir kritis sedang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi numerasi sedang.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana diperoleh persamaan regresi yakni Y . Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan literasi numerasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aikmel tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan kontribusi pengaruh yang diberikan sebesar 82%. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar meneliti terkait faktor-faktor yang lain yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis, baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the errors made by students based on their Adversity Quotient (AQ) while solving story problems in statistics. This study is qualitative in nature with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research are 25 students from class VIII A at SMP Negeri 1 Kediri. The instruments used include an AQ questionnaire, a written test on statistics, and an interview guideline. Based on the research findings, students categorized as AQ quitters and campers mostly made similar errors, including transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors, however, quitters exhibited a higher error rate. Meanwhile, students with AQ climber types primarily made encoding errors. Transformation errors occurred because students did not understand the problems, were unsure how to convert the information from the questions into mathematical forms, and lacked knowledge of the formulas needed to solve the problems. Process skill errors were attributed to students' lack of understanding of the problems, insufficient grasp of the material concepts, and unawareness of the steps required to solve the questions. Encoding errors were caused by mistakes made in previous stages, students' lack of attention to detail, and rushing to write the final answers on the answer sheets.
