Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain initial information about the perception and knowledge of IT Literacy as well as a profile of the basic knowledge of elementary and MI teachers throughout Ternate about IT literacy. This study uses a survey research method with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews on a predetermined sample of 25 schools and madrasah with a sample of teachers who were determined randomly. The data is calculated based on the number of checklists filled in by the respondents, then a percentage is used to determine the level of perception of each teacher. The results showed that the highest ability of teachers to operate Microsoft Office was in elementary schools located in the central and northern areas of Ternate City, which were 58% and 50% respectively. Meanwhile, the average IT support skills for elementary school teachers have not met the standard, which is <50%. The basic literacy ability of IT teachers is also relatively low, at 56%. The researcher's recommendation is that it is necessary to conduct IT training for elementary school teachers in 4 sub-districts of the city of Ternate, and continuous assistance so that the learning process becomes quality and student learning outcomes are further improved

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and determine the improvement of metacognitive ability and Self Efficacy of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Ternate City in science subjects. This type of research uses an experimental method, namely research that is used to see a treatment and compare it. The results of this research show that metacognition in experimental class students has increased by an average of 71.75%, while metacognition in the control class is 55.65 then the Self Efficacy of experimental class students has increased by 63.12% while Self Efficacy in the control class is 60 ,28% This shows that the metacognition and Self Efficacy of the experimental class students is higher than the students' metacognition and Self Efficacy. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Discovery Learning on students' metacognitive abilities and Self Efficacy. In addition, the results of this study also show that there is a significant relationship between metacognitive ability and Self Efficacy if given the Discovery Learnin treatment.

Abstract

Science learning in the 2013 revised edition of the 2016 curriculum was developed in an integrated manner in the fields of biology, physics, and chemistry. These three areas are combined in a learning theme. One of the themes of science learning in junior high schools that is adapted to the needs of the development of scientific attitudes is the theme of Environment and Classification. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' scientific attitudes at SMPN 3 South Halmahera after being taught using PBL-based science learning. This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasy Experiment). The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class VII-1 as the experimental class, VII-2 as the control class with a total of 53 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire to measure students' scientific attitude. Data analysis uses the SPSS-assisted normality and homogeneity test, while the hypothesis test uses the Anacova test. The results showed that learning science based on PBL could increase students' scientific attitude by 72.90% with a significant level of 0.001 <0.05.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad-21 menginginkan agar kemampuan literasi sains siswa diupayakan untuk ditingkatkan selain untuk memotivasi siswa agar memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan yang mumpuni. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa perlu dilatih, karena hingga saat ini sesuai hasil studi PISA menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara nasional masih berada pada kategori rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor diantaranya kemampuan guru untuk melatihkan literasi sains, cara mengajar guru, kurikulum, sumber belajar, maupun dari siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Halmahera Utara. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA-1 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 27 siswa. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data kemampuan literasi sains adalah soal-soal tes yang sesuai dengan materi atau konsep yang diajarkan dan disesuaikan dengan indikator literasi sains. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada setiap aspek literasi sains yang dijadikan indikator berbeda-beda persentasi peningkatannya yaitu pada aspek konten meningkat sebesar 22,22 %, aspek proses atau kompetensi meningkat sebesar 29,63%,  dan aspek konteks meningkat sebesar 25,93%. Pada aspek konteks kebanyakan siswa belum dapat mengaplikasikan konsep fluida dinamis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari karena hasil yang diperoleh masih berada dibawah 65 %. Sementara hasil analisis menggunakan statistik uji N-Gain yang berfungsi untuk menguji peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa menunjukkan bahwa secara rata-rata kemampuan literasi sains siswa berada pada kategori sedang yaitu sebanyak 81,48 %, kategori tinggi 11,11% dan kategori rendah 7,41 %. Dari hasil tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Halmahera Utara.

Abstract

The cause of learning problems in madrasas is the dualism between religious science and general science. This learning practice produces graduates who are not balanced between intellectual and spiritual aspects. The integration of Islamic values ​​during the learning process is expected to be a solution to the dualism of learning. The purpose of this community service activity (PKM) in the form of training and mentoring is to provide knowledge and improve the competence of MTs Sahabat Cendikia teachers as partner schools to develop an integrated assessment instrument for Islamic values ​​that is equipped with its rubric. The methods used are lectures, participatory training and assignments. The subjects involved were 18 teachers of MTs SC in Ternate. Process data and activity results were analyzed descriptively. The results of the PKM activity data analysis showed that the teacher's response to this activity was very good, this was indicated by the high level of participation of participants in attendance as much as 100%, completing and presenting the task of preparing an integrated assessment instrument for Islamic values ​​with good value of 88.9%. Thus, it can be concluded that community service activities through this training and mentoring can solve the problems experienced by partners.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning integrated with Islamic values ​​in biology learning is one of the innovative contextual learning designs that can encourage students in learning biology related to Islamic values ​​to train students' mindsets to be more critical in solving problems in learning biology. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Biology teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning integrated with Islamic values ​​on the critical thinking skills of class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 South Halmahera. This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasy Experiment). The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class X-A as the experimental class and X-B as the control class with a total of 43 students. The instrument used is a test to measure students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis used SPSS-assisted normality and homogeneity tests while hypothesis testing used the Anacova test. The results showed that problem-based learning-based biology learning integrated with Islamic values ​​had an effect on the critical thinking skills of students of class X at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 South Halmahera with a significant grade of 0.003 > 0.05.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan utama yang dihadapi guru biologi di sekolah mengah atas yaitu siswa kurang aktif dalam belajar secara mandiri dan berkelompok sehingga berpengaruh pada hasil belajar koginitifnya. Integrasi antara model TPS dengan peta konsep sangat diperlukan untuk mempermudah dalam pemahaman konsep biologi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menguji pengaruh model Think Pair Share (TPS) terintegrasi peta konsep terhadap  kemampuan kognitif siswa menengah atas. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental,sampel penelitian adalah siswa yang aktif sekolah pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 berjumlah 41 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengukuran kemampuan kognitif menggunakan soal tes pemahaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai siginfikan model belajar sebesar 0,00 lebih kecil dari 0,05 (p0,05), dengan demikian model Pembelajaran kooperatif TPS berbantuan Peta konsep berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa mengenah atas.

Abstract

Biology learning in the 2013 curriculum provides opportunities for teachers to be able to take advantage of the local potential that exists around the school to be used as teaching materials. Regarding this, only educators or teachers can understand and know the environmental conditions and character of students, so teachers play an important role in innovating learning so that learning objectives are achieved. The purpose of this study is to find out the feasibility of integrated local potential-based LKPD in the 21st century on class X ecosystem material at SMAN 2 West Halmahera. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, documentation and instruments. The results showed that the development of LKPD based on local potential integrated 21st century skills in the class X ecosystem material at SMAN 2 West Halmahera with very suitable criteria for use based on the average results on aspects of biological material of 87.98, 21st century learning aspects of 88.08, the integrated learning aspect of local potential is 88.78 and the language aspect is 86.75.

Abstract

Many efforts have been made by the government to improve the quality of education in schools as a top priority, one of the efforts that can be taken is to improve the quality of the learning process. Improving the quality of the learning process can be done by increasing the potential of the teacher as one of the elements in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to obtain social attitudes and learning outcomes of students with the think pair share (TPS) cooperative learning model combined with scientific additive material. and addictive substances in food and drink in class VIII Islamic Middle School Samargalila Labuha Halmahera Selatan. The design and type of research used was a quasi-experimental consisting of two classes with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The results of the study show that the TPS learning model combined with a scientific approach has more potential to improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by an increase in the average student learning outcomes before treatment from 40.84 to 73.06. Thus, it can be concluded that the TPS combined scientific model has more potential to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Managerial competence will determine the progress of an educational institution. If the principal's managerial competence is good, it will be able to improve teacher performance. This study aims to describe the relationship between principal managerial competency and teacher performance improvement. The method used in this study is to use a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SLB Negeri Sasa Ternate City. The subjects in this study were school principals and teachers. Data collection techniques were carried out in natural settings (natural conditions), primary data sources, and data collection techniques involved participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the head of SLB Negeri Sasa Kota Ternate is able to optimize school resources, both teachers and staff, direct students to be role models and take full responsibility for school progress. Patience, caring, hardworking, punctual attitude. The principal tries to establish himself as a leader according to the expectations of the teachers and all parties. So that it can be said that the principal already has a management program to improve teacher performance. The performance of a good teacher does not just happen, there are many factors that affect the high and low performance of a teacher, including internal factors and external factors, internal factors depend on the skills of the teacher himself, while external factors influence a lot, one of which is the principal's leadership competence. . This shows that the managerial principal can provide a positive increase in teacher performance.
