Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of pharmacy in drug management for mental illness with a holistic approach. Although pharmacological treatment plays an important role in managing mental disorders, this research emphasizes the importance of a more holistic approach involving pharmaceuticals, psychotherapy, and lifestyle changes. The research method used was qualitative with a case study design involving 10 patients, 5 pharmacists and 5 psychiatrists in two hospitals in Jakarta. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, questionnaires and direct observation. The research results show that although pharmacists are involved in drug management, their involvement in a holistic approach is still limited to pharmacotherapy aspects. Collaboration between pharmacists and psychiatrists was found to be important to improve patient compliance with treatment, but the implementation of a holistic approach that includes psychosocial aspects is still lacking. These findings imply that hospitals need to develop training programs for pharmacists and increase interprofessional collaboration to create more comprehensive mental illness treatment. This research provides important insights into how pharmacy can play a greater role in supporting a holistic approach to the treatment of mental illness.

Abstract

The integration of character education in elementary schools remains inconsistent despite the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in semi-rural areas such as the Plered District. This study aims to analyze the effect of project-based Merdeka Curriculum implementation on the integration of character education among elementary school students. A quantitative research design with a survey approach was employed, involving 100 teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the relationship between curriculum implementation and the integration of character education. The results reveal a positive and significant effect of project-based Merdeka Curriculum implementation on character education integration (β = 0.625; p < 0.05), with R² = 0.422, indicating that 42.2% of the variance in character education integration is explained by curriculum implementation. These findings suggest that effective project-based learning enhances students’ internalization of responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and tolerance. The study highlights the strategic role of the Merdeka Curriculum in strengthening character education at the elementary level and provides empirical evidence from a semi-rural educational context.

Abstract

Online learning in higher education increasingly relies on Learning Management Systems (LMS), but the quality of the user experience (UX) often determines the level of student engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to: (1) analyze the effect of improved LMS UX on student learning motivation, (2) evaluate the effect of improved LMS UX on the quality and intensity of student collaboration, and (3) examine the effect of improved LMS UX on learning outcomes by controlling for prior ability (pretest). The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental group used an LMS with improved UX, while the control group used a standard LMS. Data were collected through motivation and collaboration questionnaires, learning outcome tests (pretest–posttest), and LMS activity logs, then analyzed using ANCOVA with the pretest as a covariate. The results showed that: (1) the learning motivation of the experimental group increased more than that of the control group, (2) student collaboration in the experimental group was more intense and of higher quality, and (3) the learning outcomes of the experimental group were higher after controlling for initial abilities. In conclusion, improving the UX of LMS contributes positively to student motivation, collaboration, and learning outcomes in online learning.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has raised the urgent need to revise job descriptions in government agencies, especially in Cirebon City. This study examines how the implementation of AI changes the competencies needed in the functional positions of state civil servants (ASN), as well as the necessary HR planning adjustment strategies. Using a systematic literature review approach, the study identifies several key dimensions of transformation, including the shift from purely technical competencies toward human–AI collaboration, the redefinition of workloads in functional positions such as translators and analysts, the increasing role of AI in talent recruitment and development, the emergence of digital output-based performance indicators, and the growing urgency of AI competency development policies in the public sector. The results of the analysis show that job description transformation is not merely an administrative revision, but a strategic restructuring that requires synergy between human resource planning, bureaucratic reform, and well-planned technology adoption. In conclusion, the integration of AI into public sector human resource management necessitates a comprehensive and adaptive redesign of job descriptions to ensure alignment with evolving technological demands. This transformation is essential to enhance organizational effectiveness, improve workforce competencies, and support sustainable bureaucratic performance in the digital era.

Abstract

In the digital age, social media has become a pivotal platform for public discourse, particularly among Generation Z. This demographic, known for its digital proficiency, utilizes platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter to engage in activism, share opinions, and build communities. However, these platforms also present challenges, such as the spread of misinformation, the amplification of polarization, and algorithm-driven content curation. This study aims to analyze the trends, challenges, and implications of social media's role in shaping public discourse among Generation Z. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research collected data through semi-structured interviews and content analysis. Thematic analysis revealed that 35% of social media content is polarizing, often creating ideological echo chambers, while 30% consists of misinformation, undermining trust and informed decision-making. Conversely, activism-related content, accounting for 25% of analyzed posts, highlights the potential for social media to foster civic engagement. The study concludes that while social media empowers Generation Z to participate in societal conversations, it also perpetuates significant challenges. The findings underscore the urgency of digital literacy initiatives and ethical algorithmic reforms to mitigate these issues. These interventions are critical for fostering informed, inclusive, and constructive public discourse in the digital era.  Keywords:

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of digital commerce in Indonesia has intensified competition among SMEs, requiring firms to enhance digital customer experience (DCE) to influence consumer behavior. While prior studies emphasize technology adoption and trust, limited research examines the integrated mechanism linking DCE, e-commerce adoption (EA), brand trust (BT), and purchase intention (PI) in emerging markets. Objective: This study investigates the influence of DCE on PI through the dual mediating roles of EA and BT among consumers of Indonesian SME products. Method: A quantitative approach using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed. The model is grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), expectation-confirmation theory, and customer experience literature. Data were collected from 380 e-commerce consumers across five Indonesian provinces. Measurement validity and reliability were assessed using convergent validity (AVE) and discriminant validity (HTMT). Result: The measurement model met acceptable criteria (AVE > 0.59; HTMT < 0.85). DCE significantly influences EA (β = 0.438, p < .001) and BT (β = 0.361, p < .001), both of which significantly affect PI. The indirect effect of DCE on PI through EA and BT is β = 0.236 (95% CI [0.158, 0.316]), indicating partial mediation. A significant direct effect remains (β = 0.193, p = .008), yielding a total effect of β = 0.429. Conclusion: DCE plays a crucial role in driving purchase intention directly and indirectly through EA and BT. SMEs should prioritize comprehensive digital experiences to convert interactions into purchase decisions.
