Abstract

This research is based on problems encountered by the author in the field, especially at the Nurul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, namely that the Al-Qur'an hadith subject teachers at the Nurul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School are quite good. Starting from the beginning of learning which reminds them of memorization by reading it together and memorizing the Al-Qur'an and Hadith at the beginning of each week's learning, it's just that students don't use the best possible time to memorize the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. The aim of this strategy is that it is hoped that it can improve the ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an Hadith of students at MTs Nurul Hidayah. This research is descriptive research and the type of research is field research. The research is located at the Nurul Hidayah Simatorkis Islamic Boarding School. The key informants were Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers and the supporting informants were class IX students at MTs Nurul Hidayah. The data collection techniques used by researchers are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that teachers in improving the memorization ability of students at MTs Nurul Hidayah use strategies, namely methods and techniques. The methods used by teachers in learning are the takrir method (repeating by rote), the kitabah method (writing) and the sima'i (listening) method and the technique is to use the teacher as an instructor in guiding students so that they can improve their ability to memorize Al-Qur'an Hadith at MTs Nurul Hidayah. And the things that a teacher considers in using strategies are seen from considerations related to the goals to be achieved, seen from considerations related to learning materials or materials, seen from considerations from the student's perspective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by phenomena from the results of the researchers' initial observations about the implementation of Islamic religious education learning in mentally retarded children that the authors see. The PAI teacher in the SLB is only a general PAI teacher who has no special education for the SLB teaching profession, in the lesson plan designed in the RPP it has not been fully implemented according to plan, in the learning process it is difficult for the teacher to explain and convey material because every child must be served in a way different due to the different abilities of students, the unavailability of Islamic religious education learning books for children with special needs. This study aims to find out how to plan Islamic religious education for mentally retarded children at SMPLB Class VIII at Special School (SLB) Negeri 1 Bukittinggi and to find out how the learning process for Islamic religious education for mentally retarded children at Class VIII SMPLB at Special Schools ( SLB) Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. This study uses field research that is descriptive qualitative. Collecting data in this study by means of interviews, observation and documentation. This study used 2 informants, namely Islamic Education teachers at SMPLB level as key informants and school heads as supporting informants. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the implementation of PAI learning has gone well according to the plan, but the core activities are not too based on the lesson plans that have been made.

Abstract

Based on observations that have been made by researchers at Lebah Pembelajar Mandiangin Koto Selayan Elementary School, it shows that in helping the learning process of Islamic Religious Education for children with spesial needs there are problems in it. The purpose og this researchh is to find out that problems a shadow teacher experienced. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with interviews, observation and documentation. Data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the result of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that shadow teacher experience problem in helping chidren with spesial needs, namely the problem of providing material, achieving learning objective, giving motivation, supervising the concentartion of children, controlling children’s behavior and problem in collaborating with parent of children with special needs, the efforts made and the importance of establising good cooperation and communication in very obstacle experienced, namely cooperation with the homeroom teacher of class 4. Islamic religious education subject teachher, the principal and of course communication related to the child’s problems to the child’s parents.

Abstract

Manners are a form of morals that must be owned by Muslims and is a culture of Indonesian society that needs to be upheld when socializing with other people. This study aims to describe the stages of cultivating polite values ​​through the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program at SMPN 3 Kinali. This research is a type of field research, namely research with a qualitative approach. Subjects or key informants in this study were Tahfidz teachers and supporting objects or informants were students. To obtain research data, researchers used a set of interview guidelines and observation guidelines as research instruments. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that there are three stages in inculcating the character values ​​of courtesy by the tahfidz teacher for students through the Al-Quran Tahfidz program at SMPN 3 Kinali, namely: First, the moral knowing/learning to know stage (introduction of good values ​​and bad values). At this stage the teacher conveys good and bad values ​​through lectures in the form of presenting cases and delivering advice. Second, the moral loving/moral feeling stage (feelings of love and need for values). At this stage the teacher uses exemplary methods, giving physical touches and conveying inspirational stories from the time of the Prophets and Apostles. Third, the stage of moral doing/learning to do (implementation of good and bad values). This stage is carried out using the habituation method and giving rewards and punishments.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject at MTs Al-Washiliyah Commerce. The research background includes a mismatch between the learning models used by teachers and students' learning needs, low intelligence levels, low learning motivation, irregular study habits, lack of parental attention to children's education, and the influence of the social environment. This research uses a quantitative research design with the approach "The Static Group Comparison: Randomized Control-Group Only Design." The sample was selected based on the students' UTS test results in the Jurisprudence subject. Previously, student learning outcome data was collected to test the normality and homogeneity of data distribution using the Liliefors test. The research results show that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model has a significant influence on Fiqh learning outcomes. The significance value (Sig.) for the experimental class is 0.000, which is smaller than the research alpha significance level of 0.05. The results of the analysis also show significant differences in Fiqh learning outcomes between the use of the CTL model and the conventional model. Previously, the average pretest score was 74.73, while after implementing the CTL model, the average posttest score increased to 79.33. Thus, this research concludes that the use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model is more effective than the direct learning model in improving learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects at MTs Al-Washiliyah Commerce, especially in class VIII.

Abstract

This article explores the role of Bayt Al-Hikmah as a monumental intellectual center during the Abbasid Dynasty. Built during the time of Caliph Abu Ja'far al-Mansur, this center developed into a famous library during the reign of Harun al-Rashid and Al-Ma'mun. It functions not only as a library, but also as an educational institution, astronomical observatory, and translation center, housing a collection of more than 60,000 books from various languages and regions. Important factors influencing the development of Bayt Al-Hikmah included the caliph's love of science, extensive translation activities, use of paper, the presence of scientists from various regions, material support, and enthusiasm for studying Islamic teachings. Despite achieving glory, the summary of the Abbasid dynasty started from internal political conflict to the Mongol attack which resulted in the fall of the city of Baghdad and the destruction of Bayt Al-Hikmah. Even though this intellectual center collapsed, the scientific legacy it produced remains a testament to the glory of science at that time, even though it experienced a tragic end.

Abstract

Abstract This study is motivated by the growing discourse on the Islamization of knowledge, which has become a central issue in contemporary Islamic thought. The discussion arises mainly from the concept proposed by Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. The purpose of this research is to analyze al-Faruqi’s ideas on the Islamization of knowledge and to explore critiques from other scholars, particularly Ziauddin Sardar. This research employs a library study method by examining relevant primary and secondary sources, analyzed using a descriptive-critical approach. The findings reveal that al-Faruqi conceptualizes the Islamization of knowledge as an effort to Islamize modern disciplines through paradigm reconstruction, textbook development, and procedural steps aligned with Islamic values. However, his ideas are criticized by Sardar, who argues that modern disciplines are already embedded with Western values and thus cannot be simply “Islamized.” Instead, Sardar emphasizes the formulation of a contemporary Islamic epistemology grounded in Islamic paradigms. In conclusion, al-Faruqi’s project contributes significantly to the revival of Islamic thought, yet it also sparks debates that give rise to alternative perspectives, such as the notion of “Islamic science,” which is considered more relevant to contemporary realities. Abstrak Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berkembangnya wacana Islamisasi ilmu yang menjadi salah satu isu penting dalam pemikiran Islam kontemporer. Isu ini memunculkan berbagai pandangan, terutama terkait konsep yang ditawarkan oleh Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji gagasan Islamisasi ilmu al-Faruqi serta kritik yang dilontarkan oleh para pemikir lain, khususnya Ziauddin Sardar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah karya-karya primer dan sekunder yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif-kritis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa al-Faruqi memandang Islamisasi ilmu sebagai upaya mengislamkan disiplin-disiplin ilmu modern melalui rekonstruksi paradigma, penyusunan buku ajar, serta langkah-langkah prosedural agar sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Namun, pandangan ini dikritik oleh Sardar yang menilai bahwa disiplin ilmu modern sudah sarat dengan nilai Barat, sehingga Islamisasi tidak bisa dimulai dari kerangka tersebut. Sebaliknya, ia menekankan perlunya pembangunan epistemologi Islam kontemporer yang berangkat dari paradigma Islam sendiri. Kesimpulannya, Islamisasi ilmu al-Faruqi memberi kontribusi penting bagi kebangkitan pemikiran Islam, tetapi juga menimbulkan perdebatan yang melahirkan alternatif lain berupa konsep “sains Islam” yang lebih kontekstual dengan realitas modern.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran kooperatif learning tipe jigsaw merupakan model pembelajaran kooperatif, siswa belajar dalam kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari 5 sampai 6 orang satu kelompok dengan memperhatikan keheterogenan kelompok, berkerjasama positif dan setiap anggota bertanggung jawab untuk mempelajari masalah tertentu dari materi yang diberikan dan menyampaikan materi tersebut kepada anggota kelompok yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif learning tipe jigsaw di kelas XI Multi 1 SMK Negeri 1 Koto Baru serta untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat model pembelajaran model pembelajaran kooperatif learning tipe jigsaw. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah menggunakan observasi langsung ke sekolah dengan cara melihat langkah-langkah model pembelajaran kooperatif learning tipe jigsaw di kelas XI Multi 1, wawancara dengan guru PAI dan siswa kelas XI Multi 1 serta dokumentasi seperti RPP. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa langkah-langkah pengembangan yang diterapkan kurang sesuai dengan teori yang telah dijabarkan oleh Rusman seperti guru membagi kelompok dengan cara berhitung yang membuat kelompok kurang heterogen yang mana salah satu ciri khas kooperatif adalah kelompok yang berbentuk heterogen, lalu di dalam kelompok ada yang beranggota 6 orang yang disebab kan oleh kondisi atau jumlah siswa yang berlebih. Setiap kelompok mempresentasikan hasil diskusi, setelah persentasi guru mengevaluasi dengan memberikan tugas latihan secara individu dan selesai mengerjakan latihan guru memberikan penjelasan materi yang masih diragukan lalu guru menutup pembelajaran. Selain itu ditemukan faktor penghambat dan faktor pendukung dalam penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif learning tipe jigsaw, faktor penghambat yaitu saat penempatan kelompok membutuh kan lebih banyak waktu, siswa kurang serius dalam berdiskusi sehingga membuat anggota kelompok lain terganggu, dan ada juga siswa kurang percaya diri saat berdiskusi. Faktor pendukung dalam penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif learning tipe jigsaw yaitu memicu siswa lebih aktif serta bebas mengemukakan pendapat saat diskusi, meningkatkan daya ingat siswa, meningkatkan hasil belajar, membuat siswa lebih percaya diri, dan meningkatkan keterampilan kerja sama dalam kelompok saat berdiskusi.

Abstract

This research explores the challenges faced by Pondok Pesantren Ashhabul Yamin Lasi in fostering noble character among students through the teaching of Al-Akhlak Lil Banin. Despite the book’s emphasis on moral and ethical values, issues such as a lack of respect for teachers, rule violations, inappropriate student behavior, incidents of theft, and improper scribbles in textbooks remain prevalent. These challenges indicate that the expected character development outcomes have not been fully achieved. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of akhlaq al-karimah cultivation through Al-Akhlak Lil Banin Juz I and examine the teaching methods implemented. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The key informants in this study included teachers of Al-Akhlak Lil Banin as the primary sources, while the head of the madrasah and first-year students served as supporting informants. The data analysis process involved reduction, presentation, and verification, with validity ensured through triangulation and rigorous observation. The findings indicate that character formation at the pesantren is guided by a value-based approach, incorporating methods such as habituation, role modeling, storytelling, advice, question-and-answer sessions, and discussions. Meanwhile, the instructional methods for Al-Akhlak Lil Banin Juz I include the bandongan method, discussions, and storytelling. These results suggest that while structured teaching methods are in place, further innovation in instructional strategies is necessary to ensure that akhlaq al-karimah values are deeply instilled in students' daily lives.

Abstract

The background for writing this research is because in the environment where the researchers live, many children are of poor moral character, this causes many children in the research environment to be far from religious teachings, such as not praying, not fasting, and other things that deviate from religious teachings. Even though in the researcher's environment there is a place for education, both formal and non-formal schools such as MDA. This is also due to the increasing sophistication of information and communication technology that everyone gets through their respective gadgets whether they are adults or children. Especially for children who get more negative things through these gadgets. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, meaning that researchers will look at phenomena that occur in society. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative research. The key informants in this study were TPA teachers, while the supporting informants were TPA administrators and TPA students in Nankodok Village. Research techniques to collect data used in this thesis are interviews and observation and also supported by documentation. The collected data were then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the study concluded that: (1) The role played by the MDA Arsyad teacher in fostering morals for his students cannot be said to be successful. Because there are still Ar arsyad students who have not implemented how to behave properly in accordance with the moral development that has been given by the teacher to students. What's more, teachers also have to be even more active in eliminating bad habits that their students get from gadgets. (2) Factors that influence teachers in fostering student morals at MDA Ar-Arsyad consist of supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors consist of parents at home, then motivation and finally the environment. Meanwhile the inhibiting factors consisted of peers and also the mass media. Both have their own impact in the moral development carried out by the teacher.
