Abstract

Pengembangan Energi Baru dan Terbarukan (EBT) merupakan salah satu pilar penting dalam mendukung transisi energi nasional yang berkelanjutan. Dalam rangka mendukung hal tersebut, diperlukan peningkatan literasi dan keterampilan generasi muda, khususnya siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), yang memiliki potensi besar sebagai calon tenaga terampil di bidang energi. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan membangun kolaborasi strategis dengan SMKN 2 Gerung dalam bentuk pelatihan, pendampingan, dan penguatan jejaring mitra. Hasil kegiatan ini didapatkan kesepahaman kegiatan yang disepakati meliputi penyuluhan mengenai energi terbarukan, pelatihan teknis sederhana (seperti desain pembelajaran berbasis PLTS dan pelatihan pengukuran potensi energi terbarukan), serta pendampingan pengembangan proyek berbasis EBT oleh siswa. Serta terjalinnya hubungan kemitraan berkelanjutan antara pihak sekolah dan tim pengabdi. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model kolaboratif yang dapat direplikasi di sekolah-sekolah kejuruan lainnya.

Abstract

The increasing demand for electric power, along with an economic growth estimated at about 7%-10% per year, means that electricity consumption in Indonesia will rise. As a country with a tropical climate, Indonesia has the potential for renewable energy in the form of solar energy with an average irradiation of 4.5 – 4.8 W/m2. Therefore, the development of solar power plants (PLTS) is highly necessary, leading to the issuance of Ministerial Regulation ESDM Number 26 of 2021, which contains regulations on the installation of rooftop PLTS. This study aims to obtain a 600 Wp capacity on-grid rooftop PLTS system in accordance with Permen ESDM Number 26 of 2021. It also seeks to determine the energy production (kWh/day) and the efficiency of the 600 Wp on-grid rooftop PLTS system. The results obtained from this study include achieving an on-grid rooftop PLTS system with a 600 Wp capacity, obtaining a total production in 1 day over 3 days of 2.3 kWh on day 1, 2.1 kWh on day 2, and 2.2 kWh on day 3. Additionally, the average system efficiency was found to be 9.06% on day 1, 9.12% on day 2, and 8.85% on day 3. These results are based on measurements taken in August, when, according to the solar cycle, the sun is north of the equator, whereas the installation point of the PLTS is in the southern hemisphere.

Abstract

Desa Tumpak adalah salah satu desa di kecamatan Pujut, Lombok Tengah yang memiliki tingkat kerawanan tinggi terhadap bencana. Sebagian besar wilayah desa adalah perbukitan, lereng-lereng dan berhadapan langsung dengan laut selatan. Potensi bencana seperti tanah longsor, kekeringan, banjir dan tsunami apabila gempa di wilayah laut. Masyarakat kurang siap apabila terjadi bencana, hal ini akibat minimnya pengetahuan mengenai mitigasi bencana. Tim KKN Unram melaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi tanggap bencana dibantu oleh Mitra Samya, sebuah LSM yang bergerak di bidang sosial kemasyarakatan. Kegiatan ini bermaksud menambah pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap potensi-potensi bencana dan prosedur evakuasi, sebagai bentuk kesiapan masyarakat terhadap bencana (mitigasi bencana). Selama sosialisasi, peserta sangat antusias terhadap pengetahuan kebencanaan. Peserta dapat menyebutkan potensi-potensi bencana yang mungkin bisa terjadi di desa, membedakan jenis-jenis bencana dengan memberikan contoh, dan prosedur evakuasi yang perlu dilakukan untuk meminimalkan korban jiwa.

Abstract

The transformer is the main component in a substation (GI). Transformer failure causes continuity of electricity service to be disrupted. One preventive maintenance to avoid transformer failure is testing the breakdown voltage of the transformer oil. Breakdown voltage testing is carried out routinely once a year. This research tested the transformer oil breakdown voltage in transformer bay 1 at the GI of Tanjung 150 kV. Testing was carried out using procedures and methods that refer to the 1995 IEC 60156-02 standard with mushroom electrodes and an electrode distance of 2.5 mm. Oil samples from the main tank and from the Tap Changer. The average breakdown voltage test results were 59.4 and 36 kV/2.5 mm for oil in the main tank and in the Tap Changer. The test results according to the breakdown voltage criteria for transformer oil referring to the 2013 IEC 60422 standard are good or still suitable for use.

Abstract

Praya Customer Service Unit (CSU), especially in the field of distribution substation and transformer maintenance, is engaged in providing maintenance of PLN distribution network assets in the electricity system. For the possibility of work accidents to occur, it is necessary to identify, analyze, and manage potential hazards and their control measures using the HIRARC method. The study found potential hazards with different categories such as repairing electrical substation installations with Extreme risk levels, controlling them by using complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), checking substation insulators with High risk levels, controlling them by using 20Kv safety gloves, measuring transformer voltage and current with a Moderate risk level (Moderate) control by checking measuring instruments, lifting equipment to the top of the transformer with a High risk level (High) control by checking the condition of the ladder regularly, and cleaning bushes around the transformer box with a Low risk level (Low) control by spraying insect repellent.

Abstract

The Boost DC-DC Converter plays a significant role in renewable energy applications and electric vehicles, serving to increase the output voltage from low-voltage sources. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Interleaved Boost Converter with Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) control compared to open loop and PID control. The research methodology involves designing and simulating the converter using MATLAB/Simulink, where various control configurations are tested to assess their ability to regulate output voltage. Simulation results show that the Interleaved Boost Converter with LQR control produces a stable output voltage of 28 volts with the fastest response time (9.629 µs) and no overshoot. In contrast, the PID control configuration delivers an output voltage of 28.46 volts with a maximum overshoot of 0.510% and a slower response time (25.177 µs). The open loop configuration, despite having the fastest response time (19.768 µs), results in significant voltage ripple. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that LQR control is superior in terms of stability and quick response and is recommended for applications requiring high performance. Future research is suggested to focus on optimizing PID control parameters and evaluating LQR performance under dynamic load conditions

Abstract

Proses penyortiran telur ayam secara manual masih mengandalkan ketajaman penglihatan sehingga rentan terhadap kesalahan (human error) dan memerlukan waktu yang lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan alat penyortir telur otomatis berbasis Arduino Uno yang mengintegrasikan sensor Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) dan sensor Load Cell. Sensor LDR mendeteksi kualitas telur melalui perbedaan intensitas cahaya yang diteruskan, sedangkan Load Cell mengukur berat telur untuk mengelompokkannya ke dalam tiga kategori ukuran: kecil (<55 g), sedang (55–60 g), dan besar (>60 g). Sistem dilengkapi motor servo sebagai aktuator yang mengarahkan telur ke wadah sesuai klasifikasi, serta LCD 16×2 untuk menampilkan data berat dan kualitas secara real-time. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap 30 butir telur ayam ras. Deteksi kualitas oleh LDR menggunakan ambang ADC ≥720 untuk telur busuk menghasilkan kesesuaian 96% terhadap metode peneropongan manual (candling) dan 100% terhadap validasi pemecahan telur. Pengukuran berat oleh Load Cell menunjukkan rerata kesalahan 3,30% dibandingkan timbangan digital, dengan error terbesar 8% akibat posisi telur yang kurang stabil. Alat berhasil menyortir telur menjadi empat kelompok: busuk (23%), besar (27%), sedang (30%), dan kecil (20%). Tingkat kecocokan deteksi kualitas terhadap metode perendaman mencapai 83%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa alat mampu meningkatkan akurasi, objektivitas, dan efisiensi penyortiran telur, serta berpotensi diterapkan pada peternakan skala kecil hingga menengah maupun tempat penjualan telur.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mengevaluasi fasilitas PJU di Kota Mataram, tepatnya di ruas Jalan Caturwarga dan Jalan Peternakan. Kegiatan bertujuan mengidentifikasi kondisi sarana, mengevaluasi kualitas cahaya, serta memberikan rekomendasi teknis. Metode yang digunakan meliputi identifikasi fisik, pengukuran nilai lux, serta pengukuran tegangan dan arus pada panel box PJU. Secara umum sistem PJU berfungsi baik, namun terdapat masalah korosi tiang, penurunan armatur, dan vegetasi. Jalan Caturwarga memiliki penerangan lebih baik (LED 90 W rata-rata 23,5 lux, rasio kemerataan 0,74; SON-T 250 W rata-rata 40 lux, rasio kemerataan 0,7) sehingga mendekati standar SNI 7391:2008. Sementara Jalan Peternakan lebih fluktuatif (SON-T 250 W rata-rata 37,2 lux, rasio kemerataan 0,3; lampu modifikasi warga hanya menghasilkan 8–10 lux). Rekomendasi yang diberikan mencakup penggantian lampu SON-T ke LED, penataan jarak tiang, dan pemeliharaan berkala. Kegiatan ini diintegrasikan ke dalam sistem APLARANJA.

Abstract

In a three-phase system, the difference in the angle between the phases and the phase sequence of the system is very important to ensure the system functions normally and does not cause damage to the three-phase equipment connected to the system. Trigonometric formulas in multiphase systems are used to obtain the angle difference between the phases and the sequence of phases in the system. The trigonometric formula was tested in a simulation using MATLAB software, then applied to an Arduino Mega-based system. In the simulation, the data are two voltages vs. time with a certain phase angle difference, then using the trigonometric formula in the MATLAB program, the data is recovered from the phase angle difference and the direction of rotation of the two voltages. Based on the valid MATLAB simulation test results, the program algorithm is embedded in an Arduino Mega-based system equipped with 2 voltage sensors and a 2.4-inch TFT LCD. The Arduino Mega-based system has succeeded in detecting and visualizing in the form of a graph the angle difference between the phases and the direction of rotation of the three-phase system.

Abstract

Rotation direction control on three-phase electric motors is very much needed in industry as driving machines such as mixers, grinders, conveyors, and transportation machines. This study proposes controlling the rotational direction of a three-phase induction motor automatically using an Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Omron CP1E which is connected to the Human Machine Interface (HMI) NB7W-TW00B. The HMI NB7W-TW00B provides timing instructions to the PLC to change the direction of rotation of the induction motor. To provide safe operation of the induction motor due to changes in the direction of rotation, the PLC control was given a delay of 1 to 4 seconds. The results show that a delay of 1 to 4 seconds provides a linear reduction in speed before the motor rotates in the opposite direction.
