Since the 2004 elections, Indonesia has implemented a presidential threshold system for nominating the president and vice president. This system requires a political party or coalition to receive a certain percentage of nationally valid votes or acquire a certain number of seats in the DPR in order to nominate a presidential candidate. However, this system's implementation is considered one of the causes of the strengthening of oligarchic practices among political party elites, as well as a deviation from the democratic values of the Indonesian state philosophy, or Pancasila. In January 2025, however, the Constitutional Court canceled the presidential threshold policy for the nomination of the president and vice president through Decision Number 62/PUU-XXII/2024. This research discusses the redesign of the presidential threshold following this decision. The study employs a qualitative approach and draws on Pippa Norris's theory of political recruitment and Wriggs's concept of legal prismatics. This study concludes that the presidential threshold system requires conceptual reform so that it is guided not only by the quantity of valid votes or seats acquired by political parties, but also by considerations of the quality of democracy in presidential and vice presidential elections based on the principles of the Indonesian state philosophy, or pancasila. Thus, the presidential threshold system must be reformed using the concept of legal prismatics.

One of the functions of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) as regulated in Permendagri Number 110 of 2016 is to discuss and agree on the Draft Village Regulation with the Village Head. Village Regulations as a policy at the village level that will regulate the behavior of many people must be implemented in a participatory manner involving all components in the village community. Village Regulations are laws and regulations stipulated by the Village Head after being discussed and agreed with the BPD. BPD members in Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency, are still experiencing difficulties in drafting Village Regulations. One of the reasons is that the understanding and expertise of BPD members in carrying out their duties in drafting Village Regulations (legal drafting) is still not optimal. The purpose of this PkM activity is to optimize the expertise of BPD members in designing Village Regulations and provide assistance in preparing a participatory Village Regulation Draft in Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency, as well as preparing a Village Regulation Draft Template. The method used in PkM is descriptive, with a sociological juridical approach. The activity began by carrying out a legal drafting workshop for BPD members. The next stage of the activity is to collect and review Village Regulation materials that must be prepared immediately to meet the needs of the community. At the peak of this activity is to provide assistance in the preparation of Village Regulations that must be prepared immediately. The results of this PkM activity have been carried out assistance activities for the preparation of the Draft Village Regulations and 2 templates of the Draft Village Regulations have been submitted. In this PkM activity, BPD members also expressed their desire to be accompanied in the preparation of agreements (contract drafting), for this PkM activity has been given assistance on how to prepare a Village Treasury Land Lease Agreement.

Corn is a strategic commodity that can be used as a substitute for rice, therefore, corn production requires serious attention in efforts to support national food security. Harvested area and productivity are two key factors influencing corn production levels. Therefore, accurate analysis is needed to determine the extent to which these two factors impact corn production in an effort to strengthen food security. This study aims to analyze the influence of harvested area and productivity on corn production in various provinces in Indonesia in 2023. The method used is panel regression analysis, which allows testing the influence of independent variables (harvested area and productivity) on the dependent variable (corn production) by considering both time and regional dimensions. The results show that harvested area and productivity have a significant effect on corn production at the provincial level. Provinces with high harvested area and productivity tend to have greater corn production. However, there is variation between provinces due to differences in climate conditions and other factors. These findings have important implications for the planning and development of the corn agricultural sector, where targeted increases in harvested area and productivity can support increased national corn production. However, such improvement strategies need to be tailored to the characteristics of each region.

This study explores an innovation based on IoT and biomass energy for the efficient production of processed food, specifically crackers. Biomass energy, derived from plant materials, is utilized to generate heat in the processing room. This innovation significantly reduces the processing time for crackers to just 2 hours, compared to the conventional method that requires 2 days of sun-drying. The biomass energy source used in this study includes rambutan tree trunks, which not only provide efficient heat but also impart a pleasant aroma to the final product. The research employs a direct experimental method to design and implement this technology in industrial settings. The primary ingredient for the crackers is cassava, mixed with fish, shrimp, and jengkol. The heat energy generated from the combustion of rambutan tree trunks is effectively utilized in the combustion chamber. Observations indicate that the crackers produced are of high quality, with appealing color and fragrance, making them suitable for market distribution. This innovation demonstrates the potential of combining IoT and biomass energy to enhance food processing efficiency and product quality.
