Abstract

In today's digital era, the use of digital technology is essential in learning mathematics to create exploratory learning spaces. From an early age, technology in learning needs to be known that it does not only produce manual calculators, but that extensive learning support is realized from various applications or websites used in learning at school or in lectures. However, the lack of knowledge of prospective teacher students is a limiting space for learning space. First, in the integral calculus course, students seem monotonous by only using pencil and paper in learning. This article aims to present the implementation of the use of digital technology in integral calculus lectures in determining the area between curves. The method used is descriptive to describe the implementation of the technology. This was obtained in the implementation of the website using geogebra and wolframalpha as an exploratory tool to create a comprehensive learning space in answering their needs regarding the difficulty of drawing graphs, the difficulty of determining intervals of curve areas, and integral calculations assisted by geogebra and wolframalpha. However, in its use, it is necessary to have a basic understanding of calculating the area between the curves as the main basis for the direction of implementing digital technology.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan perhitungan waris secara manual dengan bantuan aplikasi I-Waris sebagai sarana klarifikasi untuk melihat kembali permasalahan perhitungan perbandingan dalam hukum waris. Namun, ia tidak difokuskan untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir secara holistik sesuai dengan tujuan dari aplikasi ini dikembangkan. Untuk mencapai klarifikasi perhitungan manual, dilakukan dengan mengecek menggunakan aplikasi. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang digunakan untuk mengklarifikasi hasil perhitungan yang dibantu oleh aplikasi I-Waris dengan pekerjaan manual sesuai dengan ketentuan hukum waris. Perhitungan manual maupun klarifikasi menggunakan aplikasi memiliki kelebihannya tersediri. Uraian perhitungan manual yang dihasilkan menjadi rekomendasi untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir dan pemecahan masalah. Adapun penggunaan aplikasi lebih efektif dalam proses dan sangat membantu dalam memastikan kebenaran penghitungan. Dari dua permasalahan yang dibahas, koherensi hasil perhitungan manual maupun aplikasi diperoleh senilai.

Abstract

Problem solving skill is an essential component of mathematics learning. However, in reality, students's problem-solving skills are still low. Internal factors are among the causes that affect students in learning mathematics. One of these internal factors is mathematical self-efficacy. This study aims to examine mathematical problem solving skill in relation to the mathematical self-efficacy of eight-grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Sungai Raya on the topic of linear equations in two-variable. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques including questionnaires, written tests, and interviews. The subjects of study consisted of 6 students representing each category of mathematical self-efficacy. The results indicate that students with high mathematical self-efficacy have very good problem-solving skills. Students with moderate mathematical self-efficacy demonstrate good problem-solving skills, although they have not maximally met all problem-solving indicators. Meanwhile, students with low mathematical self-efficacy exhibit less satisfactory problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study discusses the understanding of differentiated learning in mathematics learning and its essence. The research method used is library research. Based on the results of the study, it was found that differentiated learning by paying attention to learning readiness, learning profiles, interests and talents of students is implemented to improve mathematical creative thinking skills. In addition, differentiated learning design as a solution to problems because it accommodates every student's needs and characteristics. In addition, the planned learning already includes differentiation of content, process, product, and learning environment so that efforts that can be made to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics, namely teachers can apply differentiated learning optimally.

Abstract

Mathematics is formed from human experience in the world empirically. Then the experience is processed in the world of ratios, processed analytically with reasoning in the cognitive structure so that mathematical concepts are formed so that the mathematical concepts formed are easily understood by other people and can be manipulated appropriately, then mathematical language or mathematical notation is used. global value. In this research, the author examines the understanding of problem solving based on several experts and research that has been carried out and draws conclusions from the literature review. The type of research used in this study is Library Research by searching for various articles from national and international journals on Google Scholar which are useful as a theoretical basis for the topic discussed, namely mathematical problem solving abilities. Mathematical problem solving ability is thinking that is directed directly to finding a solution or solution to a specific problem in the development of high-level thinking that can connect several concepts.

Abstract

The interest in learning mathematics among students is still considered low, with many students perceiving this subject as difficult. Learning interest is a crucial factor for achieving academic success, prompting educators to innovate and be creative in their teaching methods. One approach that can enhance student engagement is the use of interactive and appealing learning media. This study utilized the Quizizz application with the Lesson feature to explore its impact on students' interest in learning in the 12th grade at SMAN 1 Tayan Hulu. The method employed in this research is quantitative, using a quasi-experimental design with a Posttest Only Control Design model. Sampling was conducted using a Nonprobability Sampling technique, and the research instrument consisted of a questionnaire containing 25 positive statements. Data analysis was performed using SPSS Statistics 25.0 for Windows to conduct normality tests with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, homogeneity tests with Levene, and hypothesis testing using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The analysis results indicated that the t-value of 8.768 was greater than the t-table value of 2.011, indicating a significant effect of using Quizizz as an interactive media on students' interest in learning mathematics. Thus, this study demonstrates that interactive media can positively contribute to increasing students' interest in learning.

Abstract

Empowering problem-solving skills is one of the many objectives that 21st-century education aims to achieve. This study employs content analysis on a number of articles published in mathematics education journals, with problem-solving skills as the primary focus. The research indicates that over time, the number of publications centered on problem-solving skills has increased. Among these publications, the most dominant research design is qualitative. Tests and interviews are the most commonly used data collection instruments. Based on the findings of this research, several recommendations have been proposed for future studies that prioritize problem-solving skills. Some of these recommendations include increasing the diversity of research types and selecting more appropriate data analysis techniques.

Abstract

International standard evaluation, PISA, one of which tests problem solving and literacy skills in the Uncertainty and data content on the topic of statistics, until now Indonesia is still below the OECD average. This study is here to describe how the ability of prospective teachers in problem solving is based on the Polya stages. This research needs to be done, where students who will become teachers should have national and international standardized abilities so that Indonesian education can compete globally. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative which describes the problem solving of the research subjects based on the Polya steps, namely understanding the problem, making a plan, implementing the plan and looking back. The work data from the PISA question instrument that has been adapted, modified according to the surrounding culture and has been validated by experts. In addition, the interview technique was carried out based on interview guidelines developed from the indicators of each Polya step. The research subjects were semester VII students who were selected based on the fulfillment of a greater credit load which could provide definite information on the output of prospective educators in the future. The results of the study showed that from the 4 Polya steps of the 4 questions analyzed, it was found that high group students had very good problem solving. Meanwhile, the students in the medium group are divided into two categories, one is almost at low ability and the other is in the medium group. One sample of the medium group has moderate obstacles in step 2 for questions 2 and 4 and the other is only constrained by number 2. For the low group, it is almost similar to the medium group, the difference lies in the implementation of steps 2,3 and 4 on polya which are incomplete except for number 4.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kemampuan guru matematika SMP/SMA/SMK di Pontianak dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Tujuan spesifiknya adalah: 1) mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam menjabarkan kriteria perangkat pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka, dan 2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam menjabarkan komponen perangkat pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini mencakup beberapa tahap: analisis teori kemampuan guru, eksplorasi karakteristik perangkat pembelajaran, identifikasi masalah, kajian perangkat pembelajaran hasil pengembangan guru, serta pengumpulan data melalui angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran, khususnya dalam menjabarkan tiga komponen dan empat kriteria perangkat pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka, berada pada kategori baik. Namun, kemampuan dalam menjabarkan item setiap komponen dan kriteria perangkat pembelajaran berada pada kategori cukup baik.This study aims to assess the abilities of junior high, senior high, and vocational school mathematics teachers in Pontianak in developing learning tools based on the Merdeka Curriculum. Specifically, it seeks to: 1) describe teachers' abilities in detailing the criteria for Merdeka Curriculum learning tools, and 2) describe teachers' abilities in detailing the components of Merdeka Curriculum learning tools. The study includes several stages: theoretical analysis of teachers' abilities, exploration of learning tool characteristics, problem identification, review of learning tools developed by teachers, and data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The research employs a descriptive method with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Results indicate that teachers' abilities in developing learning tools, particularly in detailing three components and four criteria of the Merdeka Curriculum learning tools, are categorized as good. However, their ability to detail each item of the components and criteria is categorized as fair good.
