Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena keinginan untuk menerapkan digitalisasi dalam pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kolaborasi pada siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Efektivitas Strategi Student Team Heroic Leader berbantuan Media Digital Microsite pada pembelajaran matematika SMP, media digital yang digunakan adalah microsite yang didalamnya terdapat bahan ajar, asesmen dan juga video pembelajaran yang bisa mereka akses kapanpun dan dimanapun (AnaLog SIBer) sebagai bahan mereka untuk belajar secara mandiri ataupun berkelompok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Pre Experimental design dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode statistika. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Kakap kelas VIIIA dengan sampel 20 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan rumus uji normalitas gain yang kemudian diinterpretasikan menggunakan tabel hasil nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest. Penerapan Student Team Heroic Leader dengan bantuan Media Digital Microsite dapat memunculkan jiwa kepemimpinan (leader) dan kepahlawanan (heroic) siswa dalam belajar sehingga mereka mampu berkolaborasi dan saling membantu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada materi bilangan berpangkat dengan menggunakan media digital Microsite, dapat diketahui bahwa ada peningkatan dari hasil pretest ke postest dengan rata-rata nilainya memiliki kategori sedang. Sehingga strategi Student Team Heroic Leader berbantuan media digital pada materi bilangan berpangkat secara keseluruhan dapat dikatakan efektif.

Abstract

Di era society 5.0 sudah menuntut manusia menguasai dan memahami teknologi. Indonesia berhak berpartisipasi aktif dalam mempersiapkan trend society 5.0 yang berdampak secara tidak langsung. Dalam dunia pendidikan, teknologi memiliki peran penting yang dapat membantu memperjelas suatu konsep matematika terutama bagi siswa yang memiliki kemampuan spasial rendah. Permasalahan saat ini adalah masih banyak guru yang kesulitan menggunakan teknologi untuk membantu dalam proses pembelajaran. Padahal, seorang guru matematika perlu menguasai literasi digital sebagai dasar dari kompetensi pedagogik untuk memberi kemudahan dalam pemahaman pengajaran kepada peserta didik di era saat ini. Terlebih, dalam materi geometri yang menuntut siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan spasial yang baik. Untuk siswa yang kemampuan abstraksinya rendah akan merasa kurang tertarik dan kesulitan dalam memahami konsep geometri. Hal ini menarik perhatian untuk membuat penelitian terkait implementasi alat peraga atau media pembelajaran yang membantu siswa dalam membayangkan bentuk bangun ruang, salah satunya adalah dengan software atau aplikasi GeoGebra. Melalui software atau aplikasi GeoGebra diharapkan siswa akan mudah memvisualisasikan ide matematika agar siswa benar-benar memahami. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan implementasi teknologi menggunakan GeoGebra pada materi bangun ruang khususnya jaring-jaring bangun ruang sisi datar. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengkonstruksikan gambar jaring-jaring bangun ruang sisi datar. Demikian diperoleh dalam implementasi penggunaan website GeoGebra pada materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang sisi datar dibantu dengan peralatan pada fitur GeoGebra dan fasilitas gerakan-gerakan manipulasi (dragging) pada GeoGebra. Penggunaan teknologi seperti GeoGebra membantu guru dalam memberikan ruang belajar yang efektif bagi siswa dan meningkatkan kemampuan spasial siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze students' epistemological obstasles in solving contextual problems of geometric rows and series. The research was based on observations and interviews at Santu Petrus Pontianak Catholic High School which indicated learners' obstacles in solving contextual problems. This study used a qualitative approach with six learners as subjects, who were grouped based on the level of problem solving ability. Data were collected through problem solving ability tests and interviews. Data analysis was conducted using triangulation technique. The results showed that high ability learners did not experience epistemological obstacles. Learners with moderate ability experience obstacles in procedural aspects and operational techniques, such as difficulty choosing formulas and performing calculations. While low ability learners experience obstacles in conceptual, procedural and operational techniques. This research confirms that epistemological obstacles are closely related to problem solving ability. It is hoped that this research will have implications for the development of more effective learning strategies to minimize learners' epistemological obstacles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mistakes made by students when solving the minimum range tree problem using the Prim and Kruskal algorithms. This study applies a qualitative descriptive approach, involving 23 students in the fifth semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Tanjungpura University Pontianak as research subjects. Data was collected using test, interview, and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques involve stages in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn.  Furthermore, the data was analyzed based on Newman's theory, which included reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skills errors, and answer writing errors. The results of the study revealed that students tended to make reading mistakes most often with a total of 9 errors (47.36%), process skills errors with a total of 4 errors (21.05%), and answer writing errors with a total of 6 errors (31.58%). No misunderstandings and transformations were found. The main causes of errors are lack of focus, inadequate understanding of the concept of prim and crucial algorithms, and lack of precision in working on problems. This research recommends the need for a deeper understanding of the concept of primordial and crucial algorithms, as well as an increase in students' accuracy in reading and rechecking answers.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students at SMAN 7 Pontianak regarding story problems in arithmetic sequences, based on the IDEAL stages. The subjects of this study were selected based on their categorization into high, medium, and low ability students. This research employed a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. The instruments used for data collection included problem-solving ability test results and interview sheets.The findings of the study indicate that: (a) subjects with high problem-solving abilities successfully completed all five stages of the IDEAL problem-solving process. (b) subjects with medium problem-solving abilities were able to perform the IDEAL stages, but their results still contained errors. (c) subjects with low problem-solving abilities struggled to complete all five IDEAL stages when solving story problems in arithmetic sequences. Students with lower academic performance were only able to identify problems. They faced difficulties in defining goals and exploring possible strategies, which led to mistakes in the subsequent stages.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics-based learning grounded in the Qur’an is highly essential for religious-based schools as a strategic step to optimize the learning process. One promising approach is the development of Qur’an-integrated mathematics teaching materials. Unfortunately, many of these developments end after a single trial, despite the necessity of periodic and systematic evaluations. This study aims to continue the previous development of a mathematics leaflet sourced from the Qur’an and enhanced with QR code integration, by further examining its effectiveness and practicality. This study employed a quantitative research method, using a set of four validated test items. The content of the inheritance problem used in the test was adjusted to align with the learning outcomes in the fiqh subject, particularly in the topic of inheritance distribution. In addition to the test, the instruments used to assess practicality included an observation sheet and a student response questionnaire. Students who are the subjects are at the junior high school / equivalent level, precisely in class VII. In terms of effectiveness, the test results showed an average class score of 78.3, with 100% of students achieving the minimum mastery criteria (KKM), categorized as "very good." Regarding practicality, the average score from the observation sheets was 3.86, falling into the “very good” category, while the average student response score was 4.66, also classified as “very good.” The teaching materials produced are categorized as effective and practical and can integrate Islamic mathematics learning media and modules.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes flexible, student-centered learning, incorporating the dimension of Faith, Piety to God Almighty, and Noble Character, which integrates religious values into education. One manifestation of this is memorizing the Qur'an, which not only strengthens spirituality but also enhances memory and cognitive consistency. This study analyzes the relationship between the quantity of Qur'an memorization and mathematics learning outcomes at SIGM As-Sakinah. Data were collected from the final semester tasmi’ assessments for the 2023/2024 academic year and students' average midterm and final exam scores in mathematics. Prerequisite tests confirmed that the data were normally distributed and linear. Simple linear regression and ANOVA tests using SPSS 24 yielded an R value of 0.639 and an R² of 40.8%, indicating that the amount of memorization contributes to mathematics learning outcomes. The ANOVA test produced an F-value of 9.667 with a significance level of 0.008 (p < 0.05), confirming a significant relationship between variables. The regression equation Y=64.119+2.709XY = 64.119 + 2.709XY=64.119+2.709X suggests that each additional juz memorized increases mathematics learning outcomes. These findings affirm that Qur'an memorization positively contributes to students' cognitive development.Kurikulum Merdeka Dan Dimensi Keimanan: Pengaruh Hapalan Al-Qur’an Terhadap Hasil Belajar MatematikaABSTRAKKurikulum Merdeka menekankan pembelajaran fleksibel dan berpusat pada peserta didik, dengan dimensi Beriman, Bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dan Berakhlak Mulia yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam pendidikan. Salah satu bentuknya adalah menghafal Al-Qur’an, yang tidak hanya memperkuat spiritualitas tetapi juga melatih daya ingat dan konsistensi kognitif. Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan antara jumlah hafalan Al-Qur’an dengan hasil belajar matematika di SIGM As-Sakinah. Data diperoleh dari hasil tasmi’ hafalan akhir semester ganjil serta nilai rata-rata UTS dan UAS matematika. Uji prasyarat menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan linear. Analisis regresi linear sederhana dan uji ANOVA menggunakan SPSS 24 menunjukkan nilai R = 0.639 dan R² = 40.8%, yang berarti jumlah hafalan berkontribusi terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Uji ANOVA menghasilkan nilai F = 9.667 dengan signifikansi 0.008 (p < 0.05), mengonfirmasi hubungan signifikan antara variabel. Persamaan regresi Y=64.119+2.709X menunjukkan bahwa setiap tambahan satu juz hafalan meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Abstract

Background: This study stems from the necessity to explore the proficiency in algebraic change and relationship among sixth-semester pre-service mathematics teachers, considering they have comprehensively encountered most mathematics content subjects. Aim: The primary aim is to delineate the ability of change and relationship in algebraic material and identify common errors, thereby contributing insights to enhance the overall quality of mathematics education.Method: Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this research involved eight students selected based on their responses to instrument questions. The instrument utilized high-level essay questions, validated with a PISA orientation and developed in alignment with the assimilation of new knowledge specific to local students. Data were analyzed descriptively using Miles and Huberman’s model.Result: Findings revealed that when confronted with PISA-level questions equivalent to junior high school level, participants exhibited difficulties, making errors in calculations, concepts, information accuracy, and in connecting or converting the given information.Conclusion: The study underscores the imperative for holistic guidance on high-level questions like PISA for aspiring mathematics teachers, serving as a catalyst for educational innovation, particularly in mathematics education.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity began with a discussion between the mathematics education study program lecturers, the faculty of teaching and educational sciences at Tanjungpura University, and the chairman of the Kubu Raya Subject Teachers' Conference about the rapid development of technology, especially in mathematics learning. Through this discussion, it was found that many teachers still need to utilize technology in teaching mathematics. One technology that is often used in mathematics learning is GeoGebra. GeoGebra is an application with various features that can be used to explain concepts and numbers in mathematics learning, such as plane geometry, space geometry, algebra, etc. Therefore, teachers need technology-related training to assist in learning, especially GeoGebra. Mastery of this technology is an unavoidable demand, and it also plays a role in improving education in Indonesia, especially in West Kalimantan. This training was held on 8 August 2024, with a total of forty-five participants consisting of thirty-five mathematics teachers from various junior high schools in Kubu Raya, three mathematics education students, and seven lecturers at the Tanjungpura University mathematics education study program. This training aims to increase teachers' motivation and ability to use GeoGebra in mathematics learning. The outputs produced in this activity are 1) implementation of training, 2) publication of documentary video activities on social media, and 3) activity reports.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the use of digital technology is essential in learning mathematics to create exploratory learning spaces. From an early age, technology in learning needs to be known that it does not only produce manual calculators, but that extensive learning support is realized from various applications or websites used in learning at school or in lectures. However, the lack of knowledge of prospective teacher students is a limiting space for learning space. First, in the integral calculus course, students seem monotonous by only using pencil and paper in learning. This article aims to present the implementation of the use of digital technology in integral calculus lectures in determining the area between curves. The method used is descriptive to describe the implementation of the technology. This was obtained in the implementation of the website using geogebra and wolframalpha as an exploratory tool to create a comprehensive learning space in answering their needs regarding the difficulty of drawing graphs, the difficulty of determining intervals of curve areas, and integral calculations assisted by geogebra and wolframalpha. However, in its use, it is necessary to have a basic understanding of calculating the area between the curves as the main basis for the direction of implementing digital technology.
