Abstract

This study aims to analyze the understanding of the concept of puberty (adulthood) in Islamic education and its implications for the development of educational practices and the formation of adolescent character. Through a qualitative approach with the literature research method, data is collected from sources such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and related literature, then analyzed using content analysis. The results show that puberty is not just a biological change, but a critical phase for moral and spiritual growth, so it requires structured education to prepare adolescents for religious and social responsibilities. The study concludes that integrating a philosophical understanding of puberty into Islamic education can contribute significantly to the holistic development of adolescents, equipping them with the values and skills needed to navigate the complexities of modern life. This study advocates a deeper engagement with the concept of puberty to cultivate responsible and moral individuals in society.

Abstract

The balance between science and spirituality is a fundamental concept in Al-Ghazali's thought that offers a solution to the modern dichotomy between mind and heart. This article aims to analyze Al-Ghazali's perspective on the integration of science ('ilm) and spirituality (tazkiyatun nafs) as two complementary aspects in achieving happiness in this world and the hereafter. Using the library research method, this article examines how Al-Ghazali emphasizes the importance of knowledge that is not only cognitive, but also accompanied by purification of the soul to avoid intellectual arrogance. Conversely, spirituality without the basis of true knowledge can lead a person to misguidance. The findings of this article show that Al-Ghazali's concept is relevant in the present context, where humans face a crisis of meaning due to the dominance of secular science that ignores the transcendental dimension. Thus, Al-Ghazali's synthesis of science and spirituality can be a holistic framework for the development of ethical and divinity-oriented science.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has radically changed the way humans understand sexuality and self-identity. This research aims to analyze the impact of digital technologies-such as social media, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality-on the concept of sexuality and human nature through the perspectives of Western and Islamic philosophy. Using a comparative literature study approach, this research examines the thoughts of Western philosophers (Foucault, Baudrillard) who see sexuality as a social construction and hyperreality, as well as Islamic perspectives (Al-Ghazali, Nasr) that emphasize the concepts of fitrah, nafs, and tawhid-based sexuality ethics. The results show that digital technology creates a paradox: on the one hand it liberates sexual expression, but on the other hand it blurs the boundaries between humans and machines, causing a crisis of human meaning. Islamic philosophy offers an alternative framework by integrating the principles of spirituality and technological ethics to maintain human dignity. This research contributes to the discourse of philosophy of technology by offering a critical dialog between Western and Islamic traditions in responding to the challenges of sexuality in the digital era. The implications include the need for a multidisciplinary approach that integrates technological ethics with transcendental values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi secara filosofis bagaimana peran akal, emosi, dan spiritualitas memengaruhi pendidikan agama pada masa remaja, yaitu tahap perkembangan penting dalam membentuk identitas serta nilai-nilai religius. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode studi kepustakaan (library research) sebagai teknik utama, yang didukung oleh analisis konten terhadap literatur klasik dan kontemporer di bidang filsafat pendidikan Islam, psikologi perkembangan remaja, dan spiritualitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Akal dalam pendidikan Islam berperan sebagai instrumen kritis untuk memahami nilai-nilai keagamaan secara rasional, memungkinkan remaja membangun keyakinan yang berdasar; (2) Emosi pada remaja, yang bersifat fluktuatif, membutuhkan pendekatan pedagogis yang empatik dan reflektif agar pendidikan agama tidak hanya bersifat normatif tetapi juga afektif; (3) Spiritualitas terbukti menjadi fondasi esensial yang mengintegrasikan aspek kognitif dan emosional dalam pembentukan religiusitas yang otentik. Kontribusi utama dari penelitian ini terletak pada tawaran kerangka konseptual pendidikan agama yang bersifat integratif—memadukan kekuatan rasional (akal), kepekaan emosional, dan kedalaman spiritual—yang relevan untuk diaplikasikan dalam kurikulum pendidikan Islam bagi remaja di era modern. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya wacana filsafat pendidikan Islam dan memberikan pijakan praktis bagi pendidik dalam membina religiusitas remaja secara holistik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of self-differentiation in Bowen's system philosophically and its implications for family education as the foundation of children's identity formation. Using a qualitative method and literature review approach as well as a philosophical analysis of Bowen's theory, especially regarding self-differentiation that emphasizes the individual's ability to separate cognitive and emotional functions when interacting in the family, this research provides deep insights. The research findings show that a high level of self-differentiation in family members supports the development of a strong and independent child identity, because children can regulate their emotions and thoughts well, and avoid emotional dependence or unhealthy interaction patterns. Therefore, family education that adopts the principle of self-differentiation from Bowen's system can be an important foundation to ensure the formation of a positive child identity, increase emotional and intellectual independence, and reduce conflict within the family. This approach supports the development of more mature and stable individuals in the context of family and society.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the application of Piaget's theory in education, identify the challenges of its implementation, and formulate effective strategies to optimize learning based on children's cognitive development. The research method used is a qualitative literature study with content analysis of theoretical sources such as books, journals, and related scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that the application of Piaget's theory emphasizes active learning and constructivism, where children learn through direct exploration. However, its implementation faces challenges such as differences in students' cognitive development levels, limited facilities and infrastructure, and a rigid curriculum, teachers who are less trained in the constructivist approach, as well as cultural and social factors. The proposed solutions include active learning through exploration, the use of concrete media, social interaction in learning, adjusting the curriculum to the developmental stage, teacher training on constructivism, and process-based evaluation. This article concludes that Piaget's theory remains relevant in modern education, as long as it is supported by flexible teaching methods and a stimulating learning environment. The implication is that educators need to adapt learning practices according to children's cognitive stages to encourage optimal intellectual development.

Abstract

Moral education is an important part of Islamic education which aims to shape human character in accordance with the purpose of its creation by Allah SWT. This article explains how moral education helps humans to understand and carry out their role as noble beings. Moral education not only teaches knowledge, but also instills good values such as honesty, patience, responsibility, and respect for others. With moral education, humans are expected to be able to live in the right way, maintain good relationships with God and fellow humans, and face various challenges in life with a positive attitude. This article also emphasizes that the purpose of Islamic education is not only to develop intelligence, but more importantly to form a good personality and noble character. Therefore, moral education is a very important foundation for humans to achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter. Through this understanding, it is hoped that educators and the public will be more aware of the importance of moral education in forming a morally and spiritually strong generation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan etika dalam penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) melalui perspektif filsafat Islam dengan fokus pada prinsip-prinsip 'adl, taklif, dan karamah insaniyyah. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dengan mengembangkan kerangka etis berbasis maqasid al-shari'ah yang menekankan perlindungan lima aspek fundamental: agama (din), jiwa (nafs), akal (aql), keturunan (nasl), dan harta (mal). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur kritis, yang menggabungkan analisis teks-teks filsafat Islam klasik dan kontemporer dengan diskursus etika teknologi mutakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan maqasid al-shari'ah efektif dalam menjawab tantangan kontemporer seperti dehumanisasi, bias algoritmik, dan akuntabilitas AI. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa prinsip-prinsip Islam tidak hanya relevan tetapi juga mampu memberikan solusi holistik yang memadukan kemajuan teknologi dengan nilai-nilai spiritual. Studi ini juga berhasil merumuskan model pengembangan AI yang berlandaskan keadilan sosial dan keseimbangan antara inovasi teknologi dengan perlindungan hak asasi manusia. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa pendekatan filsafat Islam menawarkan paradigma alternatif yang mampu menyeimbangkan kemajuan teknologi dengan nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan kemanusiaan, sekaligus memberikan solusi etis yang komprehensif bagi pengembangan AI yang bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the role of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's educational philosophy as a foundation in shaping the character of anti-corruption leadership among the younger generation. The main focus of the research is to explore moral values such as honesty, responsibility, exemplary, and mutual cooperation contained in Ki Hadjar Dewantara's teachings, and how these values can be applied in formal and non-formal education environments to foster leadership attitudes with integrity. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature review design, where data is obtained through documentation studies and synthesis of literature from various sources such as books, journals, and official documents. Data analysis techniques refer to the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity strengthened through source triangulation and member checking. The most important finding in this study is the relevance of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's principles, such as “tut wuri handayani,” “ing ngarso sung tuladha,” and “among,” in creating young leaders who are transparent, responsible, and dedicated to society. These principles can be implemented through exemplary learning methods, character education programs, and non-formal activities such as fundraising or leadership training. The contribution of this research lies in the development of a theoretical framework and the development of theoretical frameworks.

Abstract

Teori andragogi sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran orang dewasa menjadi relevan dalam konteks pendidikan agama Islam, terutama bagi generasi milenial yang memiliki karakteristik unik dalam proses belajar. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teori andragogi melalui lensa filsafat pendidikan Islam dan merekonstruksi pendekatan pembelajaran agama yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan generasi milenial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis filosofis dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip-prinsip andragogi seperti otonomi belajar, pengalaman sebagai sumber pembelajaran, dan orientasi praktis sejalan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang menekankan kemandirian (istiqamah), kebijaksanaan (hikmah), dan aplikasi ilmu dalam kehidupan (amal shalih). Namun, pendekatan ini perlu diintegrasikan dengan konsep tarbiyah, ta’lim, dan ta’dib untuk menciptakan keseimbangan antara kebutuhan kognitif, afektif, dan spiritual. Rekonstruksi pendekatan pembelajaran agama untuk generasi milenial harus mempertimbangkan penggunaan teknologi, dialog interaktif, dan kontekstualisasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam realitas kekinian. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi berupa sintesis antara andragogi dan filsafat pendidikan Islam dapat menghasilkan model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif, partisipatif, dan relevan dengan dinamika zaman.
