Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the relationship between parental support and early childhood learning motivation. The study used a quantitative method with a survey approach involving five sample families with early childhood children in a PAUD environment. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire designed to measure the level of parental support, including emotional, cognitive, and material support, as well as the level of children's learning motivation. The results showed that parental support has a positive and significant relationship with early childhood learning motivation. Emotional support, such as attention, affection, and positive encouragement, helps children feel safe and confident in learning activities. Cognitive support in the form of learning assistance and intellectual stimulation encourages children to be more active and enthusiastic in the learning process. In addition, material support, such as the provision of adequate learning facilities, also contributes to increasing children's interest in learning. Overall, parental support has been shown to increase children's self-confidence, commitment, and enthusiasm for learning. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of active parental involvement in supporting children's learning processes from an early age to achieve optimal and sustainable learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how problem-based mathematics learning affected the learning interest of 5- to 6-year-old students at the Ki Hajar Dewantara State Kindergarten in South Jakarta. To compare problem-based mathematics learning and conventional learning, this study used a quantitative method and a quasi-experimental design. Problem-based learning is intended to use mathematical problems in children's daily lives. Children in group B were divided into experimental and control groups. To collect data, structured observations were conducted on elements of children's interest in learning. These included enjoyment, focus, activity, and willingness to participate in learning activities. To determine the difference in the level of interest in learning between the two groups, the data obtained was analyzed statistically. The results showed that, compared to conventional learning, problem-based mathematics learning had a significant effect on increasing children's interest in learning. Children showed more enthusiasm, better concentration, active involvement in activities, and critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. The results showed that effective problem-based mathematics learning made learning meaningful, enjoyable, and appropriate for the characteristics of early childhood development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using number puzzle media on the ability to recognize number symbols in early childhood at Kihajar Dewantoro VI Kindergarten. The background of this study is based on the importance of concrete and interesting media in supporting early mathematics learning, especially the introduction of number symbols in children aged 4–5 years. The study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design through a comparison between conventional learning and learning using number puzzle media. Data were collected through observations of aspects of the ability to recognize number symbols and match numbers. The results showed that the average ability of children in conventional learning only reached a score of 6, while learning using number puzzle media increased significantly to a score of 13.1. These findings indicate that number puzzles can make children more focused, enthusiastic, and easier to understand number symbols in a concrete and meaningful way. Thus, number puzzle media is proven to be effective in improving the ability to recognize number symbols in early childhood and can be used as an alternative mathematics learning media in PAUD.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of role-playing methods on learning interest and number concept mastery in 4-5-year-old children at TK Inomata, Suwawa Selatan District, Bone Bolango Regency. The approach used is a quantitative experimental method with purposive sampling of 8 children, and data collection was carried out through observations of aspects such as enjoyment, focus, activity, and enthusiasm, using a 1-4 scale. The results show that the average learning interest score using the traditional method was only 5.86 (low category), with details: enjoyment 1.71, focus 1.29, activity 1.29, and enthusiasm 1.57. In contrast, the role-playing method of trading/store games showed an average score of 13.86 (very good category), with details: enjoyment 3.57, focus 3.43, activity 3.29, and enthusiasm 3.57. This significant improvement indicates that the role-playing method is more effective in creating interactive, enjoyable, and contextual learning, as well as supporting number comprehension through everyday activity imitation and social skill development. It is recommended to routinely apply this method in early childhood education (PAUD) with adequate teaching aids, as well as involve parents to support the holistic development of children during the golden age.

Abstract

This study examines the role of mathematics learning in improving logical thinking skills in early childhood. The background of this study is based on the importance of logical thinking skills as a foundation for children's cognitive development, which can begin at an early age through appropriate mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze how mathematics learning can stimulate the development of logical thinking in early childhood and explore effective learning strategies. The methods used are library research and observation of several models of mathematics learning for early childhood in early childhood education institutions. The findings indicate that fun and concrete activity-based mathematics learning can improve children's abilities in critical thinking, constructing patterns, drawing conclusions, and solving simple problems. The implications of this study emphasize the need for the application of creative and interactive mathematics learning methods to support the development of logical thinking from an early age, while also encouraging educators to integrate mathematics into children's daily activities. This study also recommends the development of learning media appropriate to children's developmental stages for optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Land and Building Tax (PBB) on taxpayer awareness and the quality of tax services on taxpayer compliance. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The data used are primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed in East Cikarang District. The results are expected to demonstrate a significant influence, both partially and simultaneously. These findings will serve as a basis for local governments to formulate more effective and sustainable tax management strategies and improve the accuracy of taxpayer compliance. Thus, optimizing tax revenue can support the improvement of taxpayer services and compliance independently.

Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of learning in Playgroup (Kelompok Bermain). This study aims to examine the influence of the availability and management of facilities and infrastructure on the effectiveness of early childhood learning processes. A quantitative research method was employed using surveys with questionnaires distributed to teachers and administrators of Playgroups. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and regression analysis to determine the relationship between facilities and infrastructure and learning quality. The findings indicate that adequate facilities such as comfortable classrooms and educational aids significantly improve children's learning motivation and the smoothness of the learning process. Well-equipped environments enable teachers to deliver lessons more effectively, thus positively impacting children's learning outcomes. In conclusion, improving and maintaining facilities and infrastructure should be a priority for Playgroup managers to ensure optimal learning quality and support the holistic development of young children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and children's discipline in playgroups at the Anisa Early Childhood Education Center (KB PAUD). The research background is based on the important role of parents in shaping children's discipline from an early age. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The study population was all 40 parents and children in playgroups at the Anisa Early Childhood Education Center (KB PAUD). Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale, then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that parenting styles were classified as high, with the majority of parents implementing a democratic parenting style characterized by open communication and consistent discipline. Children's discipline levels were also classified as high. The correlation test obtained an r value of 0.724 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a positive and significant relationship between parenting styles and children's discipline. Therefore, the better the parenting styles implemented by parents, the higher the children's discipline levels.
