Abstract

The purpose of this service is to train children's public speaking skills at LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. public speaking is a necessity to prepare skills to compete in the era of Society 5.0. Therefore, public speaking skills need to be trained from an early age. Although public speaking is easy, when it is practiced it often creates fear and trembling when speaking. This can happen because of a lack of self-confidence, as happened to the children of LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Unlike children in general who have families, children in LKSA Mambaul Ulum tend to feel inferior and have low self-confidence, this makes it difficult for them to communicate. From this problem, it became a method of service with the implementation of workshops related to public speaking, and direct implementation through speech competitions and lectures which were participated by LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur children. This series of public speaking skills training events resulted in the children of the LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur Foundation better understanding good public speaking techniques. In addition, their confidence level increased by 44 percent compared to before the training. This increase can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest that were distributed during the service. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini untuk melatih keterampilan public speaking anak-anak di LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Keterampilan public speaking merupakan sebuah kebutuhan untuk mempersiapkan diri bersaing di Era Society 5.0. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan public speaking perlu dilatih sejak dini. Meskipun public speaking terlihat mudah, namun ketika dipraktikkan seringkali timbul rasa gugup dan gemetar ketika berbicara. Hal tersebut bisa terjadi karena kurangnya rasa percaya diri, seperti yang terjadi pada anak-anak LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Tidak seperti anak-anak pada umumnya yang memiliki keluarga, anak di LKSA Mambaul Ulum cendurung merasa minder dan memiliki rasa percaya diri yang kurang, hal tersebut menyebabkan mereka sulit untuk berkomunikasi. Dari permasalahan ini menjadi metode kegiatan pengabdian dengan dilaksanakannya workshop terkait public speaking, dan pengimplementasian secara langsung melalui lomba pidato dan ceramah yang diikuti oleh anak-anak LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Serangkaian acara pelatihan skill public speaking ini menghasilkan anak-anak Yayasan LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur lebih memahami teknik public speaking yang baik. Selain itu, tingkat kepercayaan diri mereka naik sebesar 44 persen dibanding sebelum diadakannya pelatihan. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil pretest dan posttest yang dibagikan saat kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung.

Abstract

Lesson study is a classroom learning system in which several teachers collaboratively plan, teach, observe, revise, and deliver the output from one class. Regarding the lesson study implementation, teachers wisely explore how students learn, think, and change their behavior as an outcome of learning. Lesson Study implementation may lead to teaching improvement as teachers become more knowledgeable on how their students learn and think as well as how the instruction affects their students’ thinking. During the lesson design phase, teachers exchange ideas about how students might react to each part of the lesson. This paper presents a series of codes theoretically based on systematic documentation from teachers’ various learning and change aspects (knowledge and beliefs, professional learning communities, resources) in the cross-context lesson studies. Following the lesson observation research, teachers critically analyze collected data regarding the students learning and draw evidence-based implications to improve teaching instruction. This paper describes the influence of Lesson Study as an attempt to improve third-grade students’ writing skills. Data are collected through observation, interview, field notes, and direct practice. The implementation results of the Lesson Study for the third-grade students from February 2nd to March 7th, 2023, indicate that writing enhancement with capital capability increased to 12.68%, the use of punctuation was 21.43%, and the formation of simple patterned sentences was 1,12%. Nevertheless, the use of standard vocabulary decreased to 0.39%. Meanwhile, the observations during the process indicate the overall data of Lesson Study implementation as an attempt to increase students’ writing skills at 3.11%. The learning process that explores students' learning potential in improving their writing skills implies a positive result in their progress. Habit and practice on an ongoing basis can improve students' writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model to improve students' communication skills. This research was conducted in Class X - 3 PPKn learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. Implementation of class action carried out with two cycles. The results showed that the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model could improve students' communication skills. This is indicated by three aspects, namely the increase in teacher learning activities, student learning activities and student communication skills. The teacher's learning activity score in cycle I was 80, while student learning activities obtained an average score of 75 in cycle I, and the average student communication skill was 73 in cycle I. Cycle II showed an increase. The teacher's learning activity score became 87, while the average student learning activity scored 82, and the average student's communication skills increased to 82.

Abstract

Pengembangan desa wisata menjadi suatu tantangan yang kompleks dan menuntut pendekatan yang inovatif serta berorientasi pada partisipasi masyarakat. Artikel ini membahas pengalaman Desa Wonorejo, Situbondo, dalam membangun desa wisata "Kebangsaan" dengan menerapkan pendekatan KIPAS (Kreatif, Inovatif, Partisipatif, dan Kolaboratif). Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah menciptakan desa wisata yang cerdas, mandiri, dan berkelanjutan. Sedangkan tujuan kegiatan adalah 1) Pemberdayaan Pemdes dalam membangun kemitraan; 2) Pendampingan dan pelatihan PKK, Karang Taruna, POKDARWIS dalam produksi merchandise, dan home industry; 3) Pendampingan BUMDes dalam mengelola usaha dan mengurus badan Hukum; 4) Pengembangan model desa wisata “Kebangsaan”.  Metode pelaksanaan sosialisasi tentang desa wisata kebangsaan. Fasilitasi dan pendampingan perangkat desa dalam pengembangan kemitraan dengan stakeholders internal dan eksternal. Pendampingan BUMDes dalam penyusunan Rencana Strategis. Pendampingan dan pelatihan PKK, Karang Taruna dan Pok DARWIS dalam membuat merchandise. dan pengembangan model desa wisata kebangsaan untuk menjadi desa cerdas (smart village), mandiri berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan mencerminkan pencapaian signifikan dalam Penguatan kapabilitas aparat desa dalam mengembangkan kemitraan secara internal dengan stakeholders lokal dan eksternal dengan perguruan tinggi. BUMDes berbadan Hukum dan mampu membuat rencana strategis. Jangka pendek dan panjang. PKK, Karang Taruna dan PokDarwis dapat membuat merchandise untuk melengkapi cindera mata desa wisata kebangsaan. Model KIPAS (Kreatif, Inovatif, Partisipatif dan Kolaboratif) dapat ditetapkan untuk kemajuan desa wisata kebangsaan.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini memberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran inovatif 2D komik untuk menghadapi tuntutan pembelajaran keterampilan abad 21. Jumlah peserta pelatihan ada 20 orang guru, mewakili setiap bidang mata pelajaran. Metode kegiatan PKM yaitu: (1) Sosialisasi pelatihan media pembelajaran inovatif 2D komik, (2) Persiapan perangkat teknologi, (3) Pelatihan media pembelajaran inovatif 2D komik, (4) Monitoring dan Evaluasi pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan ini, para guru di MTs Ahmad Yani Jabung yang pada awalnya hanya menggunakan media pembelajaran buku dalam mengajar sudah mampu membuat media pembelajaran 2D komik sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif bagi peserta pelatihan. Media pembelajaran 2D komik ini nantinya diimplementasikan oleh guru pada kegiatan pembelajaran di semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024.Kata kunci: media, pembelajaran, komik

Abstract

This study explores the influence of school culture on student behavior and attitudes at Antawirya Krian Elementary School. Recognizing its significance, the research examines how various elements such as philosophy, organizational structure, facilities, vision, mission, and procedural rules shape this dynamic. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using observations, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Data analysis through a phenomenological perspective offered a thorough understanding of the school's cultural practices. The findings highlight the principal's crucial role in embedding the school's philosophy, which combines religious and Javanese cultural values, through consistent communication and exemplary behavior. The school's organizational structure promotes democratic values and management transparency, essential for achieving its objectives. Although the facilities are not perfect, their maintenance ensures a conducive learning environment. The vision and mission focus on developing well-rounded students with strong moral values and a global perspective, reinforced through both curricular and extracurricular activities. School culture is evident in practices such as morning recitations and communal activities, fostering a sense of community and respect among students. The involvement of the entire school community, including teachers and students, is vital in maintaining a positive school culture. Teachers serve as role models and educators, while students actively uphold school values. The study emphasizes the importance of collaboration among all school stakeholders in optimizing character education and enhancing educational quality. The roles of the principal, organizational structure, and community practices are identified as key factors in cultivating a positive school culture, ultimately improving character education and overall educational quality at Antawirya Krian Elementary School.
