Abstract

Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt.) memiliki manfaat tidak hanya dapat dikonsumsi tetapi juga digunakan sebagai bahan industri. Peningkatan hasil jagung manis yang dilakukan dengan  pemupukan anorganik secara berlebihan tanpa dibarengi dengan penambahan bahan organik berakibat buruk bagi tanah. Aplikasi kompos solid dan pupuk hayati dengan konsorsium bakteri selulolitik merupakan alternatif dalam  memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia dan hayati tanah. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui kombinasi dosis pupuk N, P, K, solid dan hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil  jagung manis dalam mengurangi penggunaan pupuk N, P, K. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap, sembilan perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan sebagai berikut:    100% pupuk N, P, K; 100% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1); 75% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1); 75% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1)+pupuk hayati (10 ml/tanaman); 50% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1)+pupuk hayati; 25% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1)+pupuk hayati (10 ml/tanaman); 0% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1)+pupuk hayati (10 ml/tanaman); 0% Pupuk N, P, K+kompos solid (30.000 kg.ha-1); 0% Pupuk N, P, K+pupuk hayati (10 ml/tanaman). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian kombinasi 75% pupuk N, P, K dengan kompos solid 30 t.ha-1 dan pupuk hayati 10  ml.l-1 (tiga kali aplikasi) menghasilkan tinggi tanaman, bobot tongkol berkelobot, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot dan hasil bobot tongkol berkelobot per m2 pada tanaman jagung manis varietas Bonanza F1. Pemberian kompos solid dan pupuk hayati mampu mengurangi penggunaan pupuk N, P, K sebesar 25%.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the tolerant and susceptible soybean genotypes to drought stress. Twenty two genotypes were tested on three levels of drought stress, based on soil moisture conditions: 80% of field capacity (FC ), 60% FC and 40% FC. The experiment was conducted in plastic house at the experimental field of Meteorological Station, Sampali, Medan, from February to May 2000. The results show that increasing on the severity of drought caused significantly reduced growth and yields, which indicated by the reduction on shoot dry weight, stem diameter, filled pod number, seed number/plant and seed dry weight. The level of growth and yield reductions varied 1 among genotypes. The highest variation was shown at the drought level of 60% FC. Sindoro and Lokon were selected as tolerant and susceptible genotypes, consecutively. It was concluded that the adaptation of tolerant plants strongly related to their ability to improve the root system and to reduce the transpiration surfaces. Abstract

The productivity of soybeans (Glycine max (L.) Merril) in Indonesia is still low, and therefore it is necessary to increase productivity through management of soil fertility such as fertilizer application. This study aimed to determine the effect of single compost, NPK, and their interactions on soybean productivity. The study was conducted in the experimental station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau from May to September 2017. The experiment used a factorial design arranged in a randomized block design. The first factor consisted of: without compost, oil palm empty fruit bunch compost (TKKS) and rice straw compost. The second factor consisted of: without NPK fertilizer, NPK dose 125 kg ha-1 and NPK dose 250 kg ha-1. Data analyzed statistically and further evaluation using Duncan’s multiple range test. The single treatment of compost increased the nutrient content of leaf N 3.1%, leaf K 24%, percentage of filled pods 3.45%, number of seeds each plant 14%, seed weight each plant 15% and weight of 100 seeds 3.20%. The single treatment of NPK fertilizer also increased leaf N by 4.67%, leaf P by 9% and leaf K by 4%, number of filled pods as 27%, percentage of filed pods with 5%, number of seeds each plant 29%, seed weight each plant 27%, production each m2 by 26% and weight 100 seeds by 7%. Interactions between treatments increased the levels of N, P, and K and percentage of filled pods. This research provides information for farmers to utilize compost in order to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi tantangan dan strategi pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) di lembaga pendidikan, khususnya di sekolah-sekolah dasar yang terletak di daerah terpencil dan perkotaan. Pengelolaan SDM di bidang pendidikan sangat krusial karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap kualitas proses pembelajaran dan pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode kajian pustaka untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan utama dalam rekrutmen, pengembangan, dan motivasi tenaga pendidik, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi produktivitas dan kualitas kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di daerah terpencil, tantangan utama meliputi kurangnya tenaga pendidik berkualifikasi, ketidakseimbangan jumlah tenaga kerja dengan kebutuhan, dan sulitnya akses pendidikan. Sementara itu, di wilayah perkotaan, tantangan terbesar adalah ketimpangan ekonomi yang memengaruhi kualitas pendidikan. Strategi yang disarankan mencakup proses rekrutmen dan seleksi berbasis kompetensi, pelatihan berkelanjutan, serta pemberian motivasi melalui pendekatan spiritual dan kompensasi yang memadai. Pengelolaan SDM yang efektif di lembaga pendidikan membutuhkan perencanaan strategis, penerapan kebijakan yang adil, dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Peningkatan produktivitas cabai merah dapat dilakukan dengan pemupukan. Penggunaan pupuk anorganik dalam waktu yang relatif lama dapat menimbulkan penurunan kesuburan tanah dan berkurangnya kandungan bahan organik. Oleh karena itu penggunaan kompos yang berasal dari decanter solid pabrik kelapa sawit dan pupuk hayati yang perkaya Mucuna bracteata dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menentukan dosis pupuk terbaik dalam mengurangi dosis pupuk NPK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ridan Permai, Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau pada bulan Agustus 2023 hingga Januari 2024. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 8 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan sehingga diperoleh 24 unit percobaan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 75% pupuk NPK + kompos decanter solid + pupuk hayati (10% M. bracteata) mampu menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan produksi yang sama dengan 100% pupuk NPK sehingga kombinasi kedua pupuk ini dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk NPK sebesar 25%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kombinasi pupuk organik dan hayati mampu meningkatkan efisiensi serapan hara serta memperbaiki ketersediaan unsur hara tanah. Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of effective and high-quality academic administration services in supporting higher education institutions. The main objective of this study is to examine the condition of student academic administration at the Administrative Office of STAI Al Badar Cipulus Purwakarta based on the results of an internal audit. The method employed is an internal audit using a qualitative descriptive approach through documentation review, observation, and interviews. The findings indicate that academic administration planning has been formally established through standard operating procedures and an academic calendar; however, its implementation has not been optimal due to limitations in the academic information system. Service implementation faces challenges related to students’ understanding of procedures, limited human resources, and insufficient integration of academic data management. Nevertheless, supervision and evaluation mechanisms are conducted regularly and utilized as a basis for service improvement. Overall, the quality of academic administration services requires strengthening in system integration, human resources, and procedural consistency to enhance student academic services.

Abstract

Leaf spot disease is one of the major constraints in red ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosch) cultivation, causing necrosis on leaves that reduces photosynthetic capacity and rhizome productivity. This study evaluated the antagonistic activity of four biological control agents Trichoderma koningii, Trichoderma harzianum, Gliocladium spp., and Gliocladium virens, against Phyllosticta zingiberi under in vitro conditions. The experiment was conducted at the Plant Pathology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan, from January to March 2010. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and five replications was used. The results showed that the highest growth inhibition was observed in Gliocladium spp. (46.23%) and T. harzianum (46.15%), followed by T. koningii (41.38%) and G. virens (27.24%). The control exhibited the lowest inhibition (6.43%). The observed suppression is attributed to mechanisms including mycoparasitism, production of antifungal metabolites, and competition for space and nutrients. The findings indicate that Gliocladium spp. and T. harzianum are the most effective biological control agents for managing leaf spot disease in red ginger
