Abstract

School counselors are not yet adequately informed about career services, have limitations in career service methods, and lack the use of effective tools such as the RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) Test. This, in turn, reduces the effectiveness of the services provided. The identification of students' interests and talents presents a significant challenge for school counselors. The preponderance of students electing majors or further studies that are not congruent with their aptitudes constitutes an additional problem. The methodology employed in this community service activity entailed training in the application and administration of the RIASEC test. This training was conducted through lectures and hands-on practice, and was attended by 11 teachers, including school counselors, subject teachers, and class advisors. The results of the hands-on exercise in the utilization and administration of the RIASEC test indicated that nine individuals exhibited a propensity for a social career personality, while two individuals demonstrated a proclivity for a conventional career personality. This finding suggests that the utilization and administration of the RIASEC test are not challenging, as the instrument is quite straightforward.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the important factors that determine whether a student can succeed in college, especially for students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program who must balance academic learning and religious values. This study aims to understand the learning motivation of third-semester students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at STAI Al-Gazali Soppeng, as well as the factors that influence this motivation. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of students selected purposively. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that student learning motivation is influenced by internal factors such as learning interests, ideals, and religious awareness, as well as external factors such as the teaching methods of lecturers, the learning environment, and support from surrounding communities. These findings indicate that student learning motivation is in the fairly good category, but still needs to be improved. This study emphasizes the importance of innovation in teaching methods and guidance that combine academic and spiritual to continuously strengthen student learning motivation.

Abstract

Religious psychology is an important aspect in understanding human behavior, emotional stability, and spiritual development in everyday life. Differences in social roles and responsibilities between unmarried and married individuals can influence the way individuals understand and practice religious values. This study aims to determine the differences in the development of religious psychology between unmarried and married individuals, particularly in terms of religious consistency, spiritual motivation, and emotional maturity. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-comparative design. The subjects consisted of eight respondents, including four unmarried individuals and four married individuals. Data were collected through semi-structured questionnaires distributed using Google Forms in May 2026. The data analysis technique employed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that married individuals tend to have more stable religiosity and emotional maturity due to family responsibilities and support from spouses in carrying out religious practices. Married respondents also demonstrated better emotional control and viewed religion as a guide in maintaining family harmony. Meanwhile, unmarried individuals tend to experience fluctuations in worship consistency caused by environmental influences, social media, lifestyle, and personal motivation. However, several unmarried respondents still demonstrated strong intrinsic religious awareness. This study concludes that marital status influences the development of religious psychology, especially in emotional maturity, spiritual responsibility, and consistency in religious practices. This research is expected to contribute to the development of religious psychology studies related to religiosity and social life.
