Abstract

Objective: Marketing digitalization is increasingly viewed as a key strategy for strengthening the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, empirical evidence on how digitalization affects the marketing power of MSMEs still shows mixed results and often assumes a direct impact. This study aims to explain how marketing digitalization shapes MSME marketing power through a gradual mechanism involving dependence on digital platforms and the loss of pricing autonomy.Methodology: This study examines the impact of digitalization intensity on marketing power among MSMEs, with platform dependence as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 210 MSMEs in Kupang. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares StructuralFinding: The results show that digitalization intensity has a significant direct effect on marketing power (β = 0.431, p < 0.001). In addition, digitalization intensity significantly increases platform dependence, which in turn weakens pricing autonomy and affects marketing power. The mediation analysis indicates partial mediation, suggesting that digitalization influences marketing power both directly and indirectly through platform dependence. Conclusion: These findings highlight the dual role of digitalization as both an empowering and constraining force for MSMEs. This study contributes to the integration of Platform Economy Theory and Value Capture Theory by explaining how platform dependence can limit MSMEs’ ability to capture value. Practical implications are discussed for MSME actors and policymakers in managing digital platform engagement.

Abstract

High turnover intention in the healthcare sector is a strategic challenge because it can disrupt service continuity and increase the workload of both medical and non-medical personnel. This study aims to analyze the influence of Absenteeism, Affective Organizational Commitment, Organizational Justice, and Alternative Job Opportunities on Turnover Intention in health facility employees by referring to Social Exchange Theory. This study used a quantitative approach through a survey involving a population of 524 employees, with a final sample of 235 respondents working in three hospitals. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS to examine the relationship between variables. The results showed that Absenteeism and Alternative Job Opportunities had a significant positive effect on Turnover Intention, indicating that absenteeism and external job opportunities were strong driving factors for turnover intention. Meanwhile, Affective Organizational Commitment and Organizational Justice did not show a significant effect. The research model was able to explain some of the variance in turnover intention, indicating that behavioral factors and labor market dynamics were more dominant in shaping employee turnover decisions. These findings provide important implications for hospital management to strengthen retention strategies through controlling absenteeism, improving perceptions of fairness, and providing more competitive career development paths.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, lifestyle, and trust on the intention to use QRIS-based electronic money among Generation Z in Purwokerto. The research employs a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method. The sample size was determined based on Hair’s criteria, namely five times the number of indicators (5 × 22 indicators), resulting in 110 samples, which were then rounded up to 150 respondents to enhance data accuracy. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) 4.0 approach. The results indicate that perceived usefulness and trust have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use QRIS among Generation Z. However, perceived ease of use and lifestyle were found to have no significant effect on this intention. Furthermore, perceived risk was also found to have no significant influence on the intention to use QRIS. This finding is attributed to the high level of digital literacy and self-efficacy among Generation Z, which leads them to perceive risks as tolerable compared to the benefits offered. The implications of this study suggest that financial service providers should focus their development strategies on strengthening cybersecurity infrastructure to maintain user trust and enhancing functional benefit features that support daily transaction efficiency. Theoretically, this study confirms that for digital natives, ease of use is no longer a major barrier due to their high digital literacy capacity. In addition, as QRIS usage has become an inclusive necessity rather than merely a lifestyle symbol, MSME actors are encouraged to provide this system to meet the public’s need for practical daily transactions

Abstract

This research investigates how organizations in developing nations focusing on Indonesia can effectively embed Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their strategic operations to boost competitiveness and support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Drawing upon Dynamic Capability Theory (DCT) and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, the study examines the role of AI readiness in fostering strategic AI integration, with dynamic capabilities acting as a mediating mechanism and environmental turbulence serving as a moderating factor. A survey of 150 industry managers in Central Java was conducted, with data analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Results indicate that organizations with higher AI readiness tend to develop stronger dynamic capabilities, which subsequently enhance their strategic integration of AI. Additionally, the study finds that environmental turbulence can amplify or diminish the influence of dynamic capabilities. Theoretically, the research extends the TOE framework by incorporating dynamic capability perspectives, while practically offering guidance for business leaders and policymakers aiming to implement AI in ways that are both effective and sustainable.

Abstract

The increasing integration of financial technology into MSME business activities has not always been accompanied by a corresponding growth in technology-based entrepreneurial intention, suggesting that technical competence by itself is insufficient to stimulate strategic forms of entrepreneurial behavior. This study integrates FinTech literacy, trust, and perceived risk within a single behavioral framework to explain entrepreneurial intention among MSMEs. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior together with insights from technology adoption studies, trust is positioned as a mediating psychological mechanism, while perceived risk is examined as a contingency factor shaping the effectiveness of trust. Employing a quantitative explanatory design, information was gathered from 210 MSME owners along with managers in the Solo Raya and Yogyakarta Special Region and subsequently examined using the Partial Least Squares approach to Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that FinTech literacy does not directly influence entrepreneurial intention; however, it exerts a significant indirect influence via trust. Furthermore, perceived risk serves as a negative moderating factor in the relationship between trust and entrepreneurial intention, weakening its influence under high-risk perceptions. This research advances the digital entrepreneurship literature by showing that FinTech literacy operates primarily through affective and risk-related mechanisms rather than as a direct driver of intention, and by empirically establishing perceived risk as a boundary condition in the trust–entrepreneurial intention relationship in the MSME context of a developing economy. Practically, the findings highlight the need for FinTech literacy initiatives and regulatory frameworks that emphasize trust-building and risk reduction to foster sustainable entrepreneurial behavior among MSMEs.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze the influence of Communication, Work Ethic, Quality of Work Life (QWL), and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on Employee Performance at Hotel Java Heritage Purwokerto. This research was conducted to address performance inconsistencies, communication gaps, and unstable work outcomes, indicating the need to explore internal factors affecting employee productivity. Methods: A quantitative approach using accidental sampling was applied, involving 105 employees as respondents. Data were collected offline through a questionnaire containing 34 indicator items. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) version 3.0.Results: The findings reveal that Communication and OCB have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Work Ethic shows a positive but non-significant effect, while QWL shows a negative but non-significant effect. These results indicate that strong communication and appropriate extra-role behavior can enhance performance, whereas work ethic and QWL do not directly improve employee outcomes. Conclusion and suggestion: This study highlights the importance of strengthening communication channels and supporting constructive OCB to improve performance. Although Work Ethic and QWL do not show significant effects, they remain relevant and require attention through training, motivation, and work environment enhancement. Future research is recommended to increase the sample size, include multiple hotels, and add moderating variables such as job satisfaction or leadership style to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of performance determinants. Abstract

Entrepreneurship is currently experiencing significant and dynamic development. The growth rate of entrepreneurship is a sensitive issue and challenge that attracts public attention in the middle of increasingly tight competition. The development of entrepreneurship is driven by various factors, including rapid technological development and globalization. However, with the development of technology, entrepreneurship also needs to have good preparation to face increasingly tight levels of competition and can maintain and create increasingly successful entrepreneurship. Therefore, this study aims to determine the factors that influence the sustainability resilience and survival of MSMEs. A quantitative method was used in this study, and incidental sampling was used to select 238 MSMEs as respondents. The distribution of questionnaires was carried out openly to MSMEs through associations that oversee the performance of MSMEs. Data analysis in this study used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis software version 3.0. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurial knowledge has a positive effect on the sustainability resilience and survival of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial motivation has a positive and insignificant effect, and technological progress has a positive and insignificant effect. This study provides new contributions and knowledge that an entrepreneur must be able to know what preparations must be made and how they can manage MSMEs in the midst of competition to anticipate conflicts that will occur in the future.
