Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of academic pressure, social support, and mental health from a sharia perspective on the achievement of Muslim students receiving the KIP-Kuliah (Kiliyah Student Assistance) at the Medan State Polytechnic. This research fills a gap in research that is still dominated by partial studies and has not integrated these three variables simultaneously within a framework of sharia values, particularly in the context of KIP-Kuliah students receiving vocational education. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 179 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The results showed that academic pressure had a negative and significant effect on student achievement with a value of -0.180, social support had a positive and significant effect with a value of 0.303, and mental health from a sharia perspective also had a positive and significant effect with a value of 0.380. Together, these three variables explained 19.7% of the variation in student achievement, while 80.3% was influenced by factors outside the research model. These findings underscore the importance of a holistic approach that integrates academic, social, and spiritual aspects in improving the achievement of KIP- Kuliah recipient students.

Abstract

Limited digital literacy and low understanding of digital marketing remain major obstacles for MSMEs in improving their business competitiveness. These issues were also found in MSMEs under the guidance of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada Medan, which have been relying on conventional marketing methods. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to provide digital marketing education as an effort to empower MSMEs to be able to utilize digital media in marketing their products. The methods used in this activity included preliminary interviews with Dompet Dhuafa Waspada Medan, delivery of material through seminars, question and answer sessions, and evaluation of participants' understanding using pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the basic concepts of digital marketing, as indicated by the post-test results, which were better than the pre-test results. Participants also showed enthusiasm and active involvement throughout the activity. Thus, this digital marketing education activity is considered effective in increasing the knowledge and readiness of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada Medan's SMEs to adopt digital marketing as a business development strategy.

Abstract

Objective: This study investigates the strategic optimization of cash waqf as an alternative Islamic social finance instrument to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia within the framework of SDGs-oriented sustainable economic development. Theoretical framework: The study is framed within Islamic social finance theory, particularly cash waqf as a productive and sustainable instrument, combined with principles of institutional performance, trust-based governance, and MSME empowerment in a digital economy context supporting SDGs achievement. Literature review: The literature review discusses cash waqf as an Islamic social finance instrument for MSME empowerment, human capital development, and motivation in cash waqf management associated with SDGs implementation and inclusive economic growth. Methods: This research employs the Analytic Network Process (ANP) methodology to analyze interdependencies among strategic factors. Data were obtained from Kedai Wakaf MUI North Sumatra and Dompet Dhuafa Indonesia, supported by expert judgments from seven respondents representing practitioners and scholars in waqf and Islamic economics. Results: The results indicate that human resource development particularly motivation outweighs technical skills as the most critical internal solution. Marketing capabilities, especially product creativity and digital engagement, are also essential. Total sales are prioritized over profit margins as performance indicators. In increasing waqf collection, public awareness raising is slightly more influential than socialization. Externally, trust driven by transparency and accountability emerges as the primary concern, followed by economic factors and government policy support with sustainable funding aligned with SDGs priorities. Implications: These findings suggest that optimizing cash waqf for MSME empowerment requires an integrated, data-driven strategy that strengthens internal capacity, enhances digital marketing, ensures transparent governance, and aligns with supportive public policies for SDGs sustainability. Novelty: This study contributes novelty by empirically applying the ANP approach to prioritize internal and external strategic factors in cash waqf-based MSME empowerment, offering a structured decision-making perspective that integrates human resources, digital marketing, trust, policy dimensions, and SDGs-oriented Islamic social finance development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the mechanism of OVO payment system discounts on the Grab application and to determine the Fikih Muamalah analysis of the mechanism of OVO payment system discounts on the Grab application. The subjects of this study are Muslim students at the Medan State Polytechnic. This study uses qualitative data. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation, and observation. Validation tests are conducted using interview data and triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the OVO payment method discount scheme on the Grab application has been structured and transparently organized, covering terms and conditions, promotional periods, quotas, and the rights and obligations of all parties. In principle, this system has fulfilled the principles of fairness, certainty, and avoidance of elements of gharar, dhulm, and israf. This practice is in line with the spirit of MUI DSN Fatwa No. 116/DSN MUI/IX/2017, which requires protection for users, merchants, and drivers in digital transactions. Second, OVO's discount practice can be justified through two sharia contracts: Wadi'ah Contract: user balances are stored as deposits that can be withdrawn at any time, without being used by the issuer except with the permission of the holder, and Qardh Contract: if the issuer uses the balance (for example, for investment), then the discount serves as a voluntary reward that does not contain usury
