Abstract

This research aimed at identifying the effectivity of applying Moodle virtual class on cadets’ learning motivation and cadets’ motivation in speaking ability in the pandemic of Covid-19. Moodle is one of open source of e-learning software used in lecturing process. The research sample was Studi Nautika Cadets of Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta who were taking Maritime English II class. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. It employed online questionnaire as data collecting method. This study resulted that Moodle usage achievement effectivity on cadets’ learning motivation in Maritime English II subject gained 80.83% agreement. Furthermore, it the effectivity of using Moodle in Maritime English II resulted in 90.63% in Cadets’ motivation in speaking.

Abstract

Multiples linear regression analysis is used to review examines the relationship of two or more between independent with dependent variable. This research aims to know how to influence education services (as independent variable) with the cadets learning effectiveness (as dependent variable), reviewed from the performance of lecturers, administration services, program studies management and infrastructure which is owned by the Maritime Academy in Yogyakarta. This research approach using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). The relationship between four independent variables to the dependent variable with strong relationship were program study management and performance of lecturers. The program studies management and boarding costs lecturers good so learning effectiveness cadets also getting good.

Abstract

This research is aimed to diagnose the student’s difficulty on Blended Learning model and aimed to get the solution of the problem by using Scaffolding. This research is a type of class action research. The result of the research shows that Blended Learning model by combining 80% of teacher- centered learning and 20% of e-learning program does not seem to be proper to be implemented in maritime academy culture. The proper scaffolding technique to be given is learning model which includes the value of character implementation which is using Co-Prol Learning model. It is proven to be effective not only in developing student’s character but also improving students achievement score. Researcher found that after scaffolding is done by using Co-Prol, the average score of the students is getting increased.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education bidang teknika pelayaran terhadap minat belajar taruna. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jurusan Teknika, Akademi Maritim Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Taruna semester I Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 43 orang yang mengambil mata kuliah Matematika Terapan. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian true experiment design dengan melibatkan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol, desain pre-testpost-test control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas instrumen lembar observasi dan instrumen kuesioner. Data di analisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education sangat berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan minat belajar taruna. Selain itu taruna memiliki respon yang sangat positif terhadap pembelajaran Matematika Terapan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education.

Abstract

Purworejo Regency is one of the five areas affected by the Java tsunami run-up on July 17, 2006. Based on the results of the Rapid Survey by BPDP and BPPT, along Pantai Kebempuan is the location of the tsunami run-up in Purworejo Regency at coordinates 109,912 LS -7.85 East BT 1.7 meters. The purpose of this study is to estimate the tsunami travel time, distribution of tsunami wave heights and tsunami coverage areas due to the impact of the Java earthquake on July 17, 2006 at Pantai Kebempuan, Purworejo. The method used is a descriptive analytical method with a quantitative approach. The data used in this study are the high point, bathymetry, earthquake parameters, tidal forecasts for the waters of the Kebempuan coast, Geo Eye 1 image data, and beach slope. Tsunami modeling using COMCOT v 1.7 software with the Java 17 July 2006. Based on data processing, it is known that the maximum wave speed is 3.8788 m / s. In the 40th minute, the initial amplitude of the tsunami wave of 1,644 meters had reached the Kebshore Beach. The widest tsunami coverage area and the maximum farthest distance to occur on the Labor Beach are 1.23 km2 and 1.4 km. Based on the results of verification with an RSR value of 0.26. The results of validation of tsunami simulations using COMCOT v.17 note that the height of the model tsunami run-up is quite in accordance with the run-up data that occurred at the time of the incident, with an RSR value of 0.29 and a CF of 1.63.

Abstract

Pada mesin penggerak utama di setiap kapal selalu mengalami over heating atau panas yang berlebih. Untuk itu diperlukan sistem pendingin untuk menormalkan suhunya kembali. Over heating dapat membahayakan mesin penggerak utama, oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan kemampuan perawatan sistem pendingin yang benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara bagaimana perawatan sistem pendinginan pada Mesin penggerak utama tipe G8300ZC30B sebagai penggerak utama di Kapal MV. Nusantara Pelangi 101 milik perusahaan PT. Jatim Perkasa Lines. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dengan analisa deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perawatan sistem pendingin mesin utama MV. Nusantara Pelangi 101 sudah berjalan optimal, sistem pendingin menggunakan sistem pendingin tertutup, bagian-bagian yang dirawat meliputi sea chest, pipa, saringan atau filter air laut, S.W Pump, FW Pump,, F.W Cooler, Expansion Tank, dan kran yang sudah sesuai dengan prosedur.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prosedur clearance in dan clearance out kapal milik PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data terbagi menjadi 4 bagian yaitu: metode observasi secara langsung di lapangan,) metode interview atau wawancara dengan kepala cabang beserta staf atau karyawan PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL) Cabang Jakarta, metode documenter terkait dengan dokumen yang diperlukan pada saat proses clearance in dan clearance out kapal, metode studi pustaka yang berhubungan dengan prosedur clearance in dan clearance out kapal. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa di dalam kegiatan clearance in dan clearance out kapal pihak dinas luar PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines diharuskan melakukan kegiatan tepat dan cepat. Prosedur sudah dilakukan dengan baik. Semua kegiatan sudah terorganisir untuk mengurangi kesalahan saat melakukan kegiatan clearance in dan clearance out kapal tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how to maintain the cooling system of a diesel engine on the Komatsu WA120-3C Whell Loader. This research was conducted in the Implementation of Public Works Agency Yogyakarta. How to collect data using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the maintenance of the cooling system on the diesel engine on the Komatsu WA120-3C Whell Loader had run well and had followed the operational standards contained in the manual book. The maintenance performed on the cooling machine includes water pump maintenance, radiator system maintenance, intercooler maintenance, fan maintenance, radiator hose maintenance, radiator pressure cap maintenance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perawatan sistem pelumasan mesin utama pada kapal. Fungsi pelumasan pada mesin utama adalah mengurangi tingkat keausan pada benda yang saling bergerak dan bergesekan sekaligus mengurangi timbulnya panas yang berlebihan. Lokasi Penelitian ini di engine room Kapal KM. Mutiara Sentosa II milik PT.Atosim Lampung Pelayaran. Sistem pelumasan yang dipakai di KM. Mutiara Sentosa II adalah jenis pelumasan karter kering, dan minyak pelumas yang dipakai adalah jenis dari brand, Caltex Dello 1000 Marine dengan SAE 40W. Perawatan sistem pelumasan yang dilaksanakan di kapal KM. Mutiara Sentosa II terdiri dari perawatan berkala diantaranya: (1) memeriksa tangki harian minyak pelumas secara rutin (2) membersihkan saringan minyak pelumas secara rutin, (3) membongkar dan membersihkan auto filter dan pendinginannya secara berkala, (4) memeriksa kualitas minyak pelumas setiap 3 bulan sekali, (5) memeriksa saluran pipa minyak pelumas, (6) memeriksa secara rutin terhadap cooler pendingin dari terjadinya kebocoran minyak pelumas.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan diselenggarakan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran dengan editing video berbasis aplikasi KineMaster selama pandemi Covid-19 dalam rangka meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru. PKM ini dilaksanakan di  SMA IT Baitussalam, Prambanan, Yogyakarta dengan peserta sebanyak 16 orang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini adalah dengan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR). Metode PAR (Participatory Action Research) terdiri dari   tahapan   perencanaan   (plan),  tindakan  (action), pengamatan (observe) dan refleksi (reflection). Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah dalam teknik penggunaan/ pengeporasian aplikasi KineMaster sebanyak 62.5% guru menyatakan mudah diterapkan dalam pembelajaran dan sebanyak 81,25% guru  merasakan  kemanfaatan dan mengalami peningkatan kompetensi digital. Kata kunci: kinemaster; kompetensi digital; video ABSTRACTThe purpose of this Community Service activity is to hold training on making learning videos by editing videos based on the KineMaster application during the Covid-19 pandemic in order to improve teacher digital competence. This Community Service was held at SMA IT Baitussalam, Prambanan, Yogyakarta with 16 participants. The method of implementing this Community Service activity is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The PAR (Participatory Action Research) method consists of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this Community Service activity are in the use/corporation technique of the KineMaster application as many as 62.5% of teachers stated that it was easy to apply in learning and as many as 81.25% of teachers felt the benefits and experienced an increase in digital competence. Keywords: kinemaster; digital competence; video
