The study involved 10 farmers as respondents from Tebedak Village, Ogan Ilir. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Direct observation was conducted to observe problems and phenomena within the community, particularly among farmers in Tebedak Village, Ogan Ilir District. The study revealed that the majority of farmers in Tebedak Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, had a limited understanding of agricultural zakat due to insufficient knowledge and a lack of socialization from institutions, the government, and village officials regarding various types of zakat maal. Farmers often mistake zakat for infaq and alms, and consider zakat maal as a voluntary act that may or may not be paid. Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the notable impact of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) approach on the students' reading comprehension. The study was carried out at MAN 2, Palembang. The present study employed a quasi-experimental design utilizing quantitative research methodology. The researchers employed the convenience sampling method to gather data. The data were obtained via a reading comprehension test administered to students in the two classes, experimental and control. The study's findings examining the impact of implementing DRTA before and after utilizing a paired sample t-test indicate that the calculated T value of 27.797 exceeds the t-table value of 3.030. Thus, implementing the DRTA approach enhanced the students' reading comprehension in the experimental group. An independent sample t-test was conducted to examine the outcomes of the disparity between individuals who utilized the Directed Reading-Thinking Activity (DRTA) and those who did not. The findings showed that notable disparities in reading comprehension existed among students who received instruction via DRTA and those who did not. The DRTA technique offers advantageous outcomes for students as it fosters active and critical reading practices. Students enrolled in reading courses that engage in prediction and active reading demonstrates a proactive approach to learning, effectively harnessing their cognitive abilities to acquire knowledge on unfamiliar subjects. Furthermore, DRTA mandates that students maintain a record of their understanding of the text while reading.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the perceptions of students with varying levels of writing anxiety regarding the learning activities associated with using teacher feedback and peer feedback. The present study utilized a quantitative approach for data collection. The quantitative data were obtained through a survey administered to 46 students in the English Department of a state Islamic University. The quantitative data were subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics, specifically percentages and frequency, and non-parametric analysis employing the Mann-Whitney test. The findings indicated no statistically significant difference in the perceptions of students who experienced writing anxiety and received instruction through either teacher or peer feedback. Essentially, students who demonstrate lower levels of writing anxiety display a cheerful disposition towards the incorporation of both teacher feedback and peer feedback. During the intervening period, discernible differences arose in the viewpoints of students demonstrating heightened writing anxiety levels who were provided with instructions through teacher feedback instead of peer feedback
