Abstract

This study aims to describe students' understanding of mathematical concepts in learning using the group discussion method on geometric material. The research was conducted qualitatively research with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at SMPN 259 Jakarta, with 35 class VII-I students as subjects. Data collection was carried out by tests, learning observations, and interviews with students and teachers. The test is ini the form of multiple choices and is foolowed up with questions related to the process of finding the final answer. Indicators of understanding the concept are not only limited to correct or incorrect multiple-choice answers, but descriptions of the explanation of the process of answering them. Interviews with students were conducted to determine understanding of the concept in solving problems. Interviews with teachers were conducted to find out the concept had been given as a whole, not just to obtain the final result. The difficulties that are often found by students are not understanding the spatial context, too focused on formulas, and not understanding precisely the subject that is included in the low concept understanding criteria which is still at 49%. The description shows that the subject does not understand the meaning of using the formula and the accuracy in its use. So it becomes important for teacher to emphasize the context of the concepts represented in the formula, not just limited to calculation procedures.

Abstract

The research, which was conducted at MI Attaqwa 28 Bekasi City, aimed to describe the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts on Cube and Block material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with the sampling technique used is purpose sampling. The subjects in this study were 32 students. Based on the results of research and data analysis that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class V students on cube and block material is classified as a concept understanding percentage of 76%, and the average error made by students reaches 24%, which is low as much as 20 Subjects get a score of 75 representing the category high ability to understand mathematical concepts High ability students are able to master all indicators. A total of 12 subjects scored <75 representing the category of low mathematical concept understanding ability, unable to master all indicators, students were unable to explain systematic concepts and were unable to determine the steps in mathematical concepts.    Latar Belakang. Pemahaman konsep matematika menjadi fundamental dalam membangun pemahaman matematika yang komprehensif. Tujuan Penelitianuntuk mendeskripsikan tingkat pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Kubus dan Balok.Penelitian juga akan menjelaskan bagaimana tahapan yang dilakukan oleh siswa sampai membentuk pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi kubus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purpose sampling. Subjek Penelitiandipilih dengan cara menyebarkan masalah matematika terlebih dahulu, lalu memilih subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi yang baik. Dalam penelitian ini siswa yang memenuhi persayaratan sebanyak 32 orang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkanbahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas V pada materi kubus dan balok tergolong dengan presentase paham konsep sebanyak76% , dan rata-rata kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa mencapai 24% tergolong rendah sebanyak 20 Subjek memperoleh nilai ≥ 75 mewakili kategori kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika tinggi Siswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu menguasai semua indikator dengan baik. Sebanyak 12 subjek memperoleh nilai < 75 mewakili kategori kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika rendah tidak mampu menguasai semua indikator, siswa belum mampu memaparkan konsep yang bersifat sistematis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in technology, information and communication (ICT) literacy through strengthening visionary leadership, work-life balance, training effectiveness and achievement motivation. The research was carried out at a private vocational school in the city of South Jakarta. The research method used is a survey method with hypothesis testing using path analysis. The population in this study was 186 private vocational school mathematics teachers in the city of South Jakarta and the research sample was 127 people and the sample was taken using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The research results show that: (1) there is a significant direct positive influence of visionary leadership on ICT literacy; (2) there is a significant direct positive influence of work-life balance on ICT literacy; (3) there is a significant direct positive effect of training effectiveness on ICT literacy; (4) there is a significant direct positive influence of achievement motivation on ICT literacy; (5) there is a direct influence of visionary leadership on achievement motivation, (6) there is a direct influence of work-life balance on achievement motivation, (7) there is a direct influence of training effectiveness on achievement motivation, (8) there is an insignificant positive indirect effect of visionary leadership on ICT literacy through achievement motivation; (9) there is an indirect and insignificant positive influence of work-life balance on ICT literacy through achievement motivation; and (10) there is a positive indirect influence that is not significant on the effectiveness of training on ICT literacy through achievement motivation

Abstract

This research endeavor seeks to examine the impact of the Two Stay Two Stray learning approach on critical thinking skills in the field of mathematics. The research adopts an experimental model employing a Post-Test Only Control Group Design research design. The research sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental class utilizing the Two Stay Two Stray learning method, and the control class employing the Think Pair Share learning method, with each class consisting of 20 students from MTs Ashnawiyah and MTs Gunung Putri. Data is collected through an objective essay-based test, which has been validated on 20 students outside the sample, through assessments of validity, reliability, and question difficulty levels. Pre-requisite tests for data analysis include a normality test using the Liliefors Test and a homogeneity test using the Fisher Test, yielding a result of 2.046. Hypothesis testing is conducted via the t-test, resulting in a tcount &gt; ttable, thus leading to the rejection of H0. The research findings indicate a significant influence of the Two Stay Two Stray learning method on critical thinking skills in mathematics. Hence, this instructional approach can be considered as an alternative for educators to foster an active, effective, and engaging learning environment

Abstract

Abstract — Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran komik matematika berbasis budaya dengan menggunakan metode research and development atau R&D dengan model ASSURE. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan di tiga sekolah SMP dalam satu kecamatan yaitu kecamatan Pasar Minggu, Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini telah diujikan ke berbagai ahli, yaitu: dua ahli materi dengan kategori sangat baik dan presentase sebesar 86%, 72% dari satu orang ahli bahasa dengan kategori baik, 96% dari satu orang ahli pengembangan dengan kategori sangat baik, dan mendapat presentase 3,4 dengan kategori baik dari satu orang ahli desain grafis. Sedangkan dari hasil evaluasi uji one to one mendapat rata-rata sebesar 84% yang masuk dalam kategori baik, uji kelompok kecil dengan presentase 85% dengan kategori sangat baik, dan uji kelompok besar dengan menggunakan uji-t didapatkan hasil thitung > ttabel. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dari beberapa ahli, media pembelajaran berupa komik matematika dianggap layak dan dapat meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Kata Kunci — Media Pembelajaran, Model Pembelajaran, Komik, Budaya. Abstract — This study aims to develop a culture-based mathematics comic learning media using research and development or R & D methods with the ASSURE model. This development research was conducted in three Junior High Schools (JHS) in one sub-district, Pasar Minggu sub-district, South Jakarta. This research has been tested to various experts, namely: two material experts with very good categories and a percentage of 86%, 72% from one linguist with a good category, 96% from one development expert with a very good category, and get a percentage 3,4 with a good category from one graphic design expert. While the results of one to one test evaluations get an average of 84% which falls into the good category, small group test with a percentage of 85% with a very good category, and a large group test using the t-test results obtained tcount > ttable. Based on the evaluation results from several experts, using learning media in the form of mathematical comics is considered feasible and can increase students' interest and learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract. One of the requirements that must be met is to improve the quality of education by creating professional teachers. Based on the results of observations made from 9 (nine) teachers, only 1 (one) teacher has the ability to compile CAR, while 8 (eight) people do not have the ability to compile CAR. This is due to the lack of teachers getting information about the technique of preparing the CAR and the teachers are not accustomed to compiling research, so that the teachers are less able to prepare CAR In this regard, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the ability of teachers in preparing CAR. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase teacher professionalism through classroom action research and writing of environmental scientific papers at SMA Perjuangan Terpadu. The method of activities carried out in this community service is training / counseling, guidance and mentoring which is integrated in classroom action research workshops (PTK). The form of activities to be carried out is training in the form of: designing and implementing models, methods, media, and learning approaches as outlined in the classroom action research proposal; implementation of classroom action research; interpreting implementation results through classroom action research reports; and writing scientific papers. The outputs that will be produced in this activity include: classroom action research proposals, classroom action research reports, and journals published by the teacher. All participants will be accompanied and guided in the process of making proposals, reports, and copying articles in accredited or not accredited national journals. Abstrak. Salah satu persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan menciptakan guru yang professional. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan  dari 9 (sembilan) orang guru, hanya 1 (satu) orang guru memiliki kemampuan menyusun PTK, sedangkan 8 (delapan) orang belum memiliki kemampuan menyusun PTK. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya guru mendapatkan informasi tentang teknik penyusunan PTK dan guru tidak terbiasa menyusun penelitian, sehingga para guru kurang mampu dalam menyusun PTK. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, maka perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun PTK. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas guru melalui penelitian tindakan kelas dan penulisan karya ilmiah lingkungan SMA Perjuangan Terpadu. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan/penyuluhan, pembimbingan dan pendampingan yang terintegrasi dalam kegiatan workshop penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK).Bentuk kegiatan yang akan dilakukan yaitu pelatihan berupa: perancangan dan penerapan model, metode, media, maupun pendekatan pembelajaran yang dituangkan dalam proposal penelitian tindakan kelas; pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas; menginterpretasikan hasil pelaksanaan melalui laporan penelitian tindakan kelas; dan penulisan karya ilmiah.Luaran yang akan dihasilkan pada kegiatan ini antara lain: proposal penelitian tindakan kelas, laporan penelitian tindakan kelas, dan jurnal yang dipublikasikan oleh guru. Seluruh peserta akan didampingi dan dibimbing dalam proses pembuatan proposal, laporan, hingga mensumbit artikel pada jurnal nasional yang terakreditasi atau tidak terakreditasi.

Abstract

The aim of this community service implementation is to design interactive learning evaluations with wordwalls as a form of teacher innovation and creativity in teaching so that learning in the classroom can be maximized. The development of information technology is currently in the era society 5.0 so that the education system is increasingly developing, especially in learning. Existing educational development mean that teachers need to carry out developments in learning both in terms of the learning methods carried out and the learning media used. This is a challenge for teachers in utilizing technology-based media for use in learning. There are still teachers who have minimal knowledge regarding the used of technology-based learning media so they have no been able to optimize interactive learning evaluations using wordwalls. Appart from that, the main objective in implementing this community service is to assist teachers in creating innovative and interesting learning evaluations that can be used in learning. Abstract

The Jigsaw learning model focuses on student activities in learning in general and also has an influence on students' mathematical abilities, but there are also some that do not have a significant influence. This research attempts to answer how much influence the Jigsaw model has based on the desired categorical variables. Therefore, meta-analysis research is needed to provide comprehensive and in-depth conclusions about the application of the Jigsaw model to students' mathematical abilities. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) is used to evaluate a property's value based on comparisons to similar properties in the same area. Data was obtained from Publish or Perish (PoP) with a total of 500 articles from 2010 to 2023 with the Google Scholar database. The number of journals that meet the requirements and will be analyzed is 30 sample articles with a total of 1252 students. The moderator variables in this study consider country, education level, sample size and publication source. Based on research findings, the Jigsaw model has a significant influence on numeracy skills (P-value 0.05), with an effect size of 1.146 which is classified as very high based on fixed effects and a standard error of 0.045. The research results show that the Jigsaw model is still relevant for improving students' mathematical abilities, especially at the elementary school level. This meta-analysis study reveals that there is no difference in the results of implementing the Jigsaw model on students' mathematical abilities in all country categories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XII pada materi statistika di salah satu SMA swasta di Jakarta Timur. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan instrumen berupa tes uraian dan wawancara. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari tiga siswa yang mewakili kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu memahami masalah, menyusun model matematika, menerapkan strategi penyelesaian, serta memeriksa dan menjelaskan hasil dengan baik. Siswa dengan kemampuan sedang masih mengalami kesalahan minor dalam perhitungan dan kurang teliti dalam menjelaskan hasil, sedangkan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah menghadapi kesulitan signifikan dalam memahami soal, menyusun model matematika, dan menerapkan strategi penyelesaian yang tepat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan metode pembelajaran interaktif dan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi statistika.
