Abstract

Attempting to develop and control the quality of nursing education embodied by developing a field of nursing practice accompanied by nursing resources development for which carry out learning experiences properly. One of which is administer preceptorship training for both academic and clinical preceptors to be able to provide a proper mentoring process. It is expected that the students competency could be achieved. This preceptorship training aims to upgrade the mentoring process. This training used the Preceptorship-mentor model approach and held for 2 days at the Regional General Hospital Balangan with a total of 25 participants. Training methods use lectures, discussions and role plays. The evaluation were carried out by means of a pre and post test. The conclusion: participants knowledge about preceptorship and mentorship increased after following the training. It is expected that the institution of nurse education could be provide preceptorship training regularly to develop quality of nursing education.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Perguruan tinggi vokasi memiliki tanggung jawab membekali peserta didik dengan nilai-nilai sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja dan industri. Untuk dapat bekerja sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja, selain penguasaan hard skill, juga penguasaan soft skill, Pada jenjang pendidikan tinggi dalam pembentukan karakter perlu diberikan pengetahuan dan pendidikan yang memadai melalui organisasi kemahasiswaan Melalui program pelatihan kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisasi ini diharapkan dapat membentuk karakter dan sikap pentingnya memahami program dan lingkungan kampus dan menjadi motivasi tersendiri pengembangan kompetensi sumber daya manusia/mahasiswa. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertempat SD Alam Muhammadiyah Banjarbaru. Kegiatan edukasi ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 26 Maret 2022. Sasaran merupakan khalayak sasaran untuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mahasiswa aktif organisasi.Hasil yang didapat adalah diketahuinya masih ada yang belum mengetahui tentang kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisisai evaluasi melalui pretest dan posttest.Pelaksanaan kegiatan edukasi terkait kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisasi ini menambah pengetahuan mahasiswa terkait kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisasi.

Abstract

Introduction: Professional nurses according to the book National Accreditation National Standard edition 1.1 are as one of the one Professional Care Provider (PPA). As a PPA who provides care for 24 hours in hospital, it demands that nurses as care professionals must have competence. According to SNARS edition 1.1 hospitals are required to have nursing credential regulations includes evaluation and verification of education, registration, permits, authority, training and experience, Hospitals must also plan for nursing human resources by having qualification standards and Staff Authority (KKS). Purpose: This study aims to explore in depth the challenges of implementation credentials according to the National Hospital Accreditation Standards. Method: The research design used in this research is a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach . Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 6 participants and document studies in Islamic Hospital of Banjarmasin. Results: As a result, there are themes of The Challenges of Credentials Implementation with sub-themes of The ideal number between assessors and nurses whose competencies assessed, overlapping task an function of credential team, the incentive salary for Assessors, and The Payment for Nursing Service in accordance with clinical autorithy. Conclusion: Credentials can improve quality, protect patient safety, maintain standards of nursing care services and provide protection to nurses if the implementation of credentials is carried out with the correct process such as adequacy of the number of assessors, salary incentives for assessors, clarity of roles and functions of the credential team and also provision of appropriate salaries/bonus with the burden of action that is the responsibility of the nurse

Abstract

The hospital is a health service institution for the community. Nurses as officers who are always in contact with patients must have many skills, one of which is communication with patients. Therapeutic communication is communication that is specifically structured, has a purpose and focuses on the client. Communication is one of the factors in determining patient satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between the implementation of therapeutic communication with patient satisfaction in the Inpatient Room. This research was a correlation research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all beds in the inpatient unit, namely 48 beds, meaning 48 patients. The sample used was 47 patients with simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used was respondent characteristics, therapeutic communication questionnaire, and patient satisfaction. Data analysis used fisher's exact test. Therapeutic communication of nurses in the inpatient room was good as many as 30 people (63,8%). Patient satisfaction in the inpatient room with a satisfied category of 39 people (83%). There is a correlation between the implementation of nurse therapeutic communication with patient satisfaction in the inpatient room (p value 0,019).

Abstract

Basically, every nurse who will provide nursing services must be responsible and obliged to document the information made, so that the information can be useful for other health workers. The incompleteness of documentation in integrated patient progress records is due to the high workload of nurses. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between nurse workload and the completeness of documenting integrated patient progress records in the inpatient of Banjarmasin Islamic Hospital. Research design quantitative correlation of analytical with cross sectional approach. The population of this study was 84 nurses. Sampling is done by probability sampling, which is using simple random sampling. The sample of this study was nurses at Banjarmasin Islamic Hospital Inpatient as many as 69 nurses. Data collection using nurse workload questionnaires and observation of patient progress records were integrated using spearman rank tests. The results of the research test in this study obtained p value (0.001) < α (0.05) so that it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the workload of nurses and the completeness of documenting integrated patient progress records in Islamic Hospital Inpatients. Therefore, it is important to carry out teamwork both between nurses or with other health teams in carrying out work in order to maintain the quality of documentation on integrated patient development records.

Abstract

Stres merupakan reaksi tubuh yang disebabkan oleh pikiran manusia yang muncul ketika individu mengalami tekanan, perubahan secara mendadak dan ancaman yang membuat seseorang merasa tertekan. Penanganan awal dengan benar stres dapat mengurangi resiko depresi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam menangani kejadian stres dalam dunia sekolah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada siswa dan siswi SMAN 1 Banjarmasin. Sebelum penyuluhan dan praktek dilakukan pre-test dan sesudah dilaksanakan dilakukan post-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa tentang penanganan stres. Edukasi dilakukan melalui ceramah tanya jawab dan demonstrasi. Hasil dari pelaksanaan manajemen stress pada siswa dan siswi SMAN 1 Banjarmasin, sebelum dilakukan edukasi didapatkan kategori baik dalam persentase 22,58% setelah dilakukan edukasi menjadi persentase baiknya sebesar 54,84%. Dapat ditarik kemaknaanya dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam melakukan manajemen stres. Pengabdian selanjutnya bisa menambahkan teknis manajemen stress dengan menggunakan metode yang lebih interaktif lagi.

Abstract

Antenatal care is important in health optimization and early detection of maternal and fetal problems during pregnancy. In developing countries, access to prenatal care is still not optimal, which is indicated by the high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia of 173 per 100,000 live births. Midwives have an important role in pregnancy services by providing midwifery care that focuses on the needs of women. This study aims to determine the experience of pregnant women in South Kalimantan in accessing midwifery services during pregnancy. This study is qualitative and uses a generic exploratory approach. The research Data were taken using in-depth interviews with five pregnant women and analysed using the Collaizi framework with attention to the rigour of research data. The results of this study indicate that socio-cultural and socio-economic factors significantly impact the choice of healthcare facilities used. The existence of health policies and programs that focus on the needs of women is expected to optimize the quality of midwifery services.

Abstract

The diagnosis of cervical cancer triggers drastic changes in women, encompassing alterations in body image, physical issues, and biopsychospiritual impacts. Physiological challenges involve reduced appetite and stiffness, while psychological impacts include fear, feelings of disability, dependence, and role and financial stress. Spiritual disturbances can arise from the belief that this disease is a punishment from God, sometimes resulting in the loss of spiritual faith. Holistic support is necessary to help them navigate these changes. This research aims to explore the experiences of women diagnosed with cervical cancer. The study design is qualitative descriptive research, where qualitative data is obtained through in-depth interviews with 15 participants at Ulin Banjarmasin General Hospital using purposive sampling techniques. The research identifies six main themes: the initial response to the diagnosis of cervical cancer, the impact of cervical cancer on the physical aspects of daily life, the impact of the disease on psychological aspects of daily life, the impact of the disease on spiritual aspects of daily life, the adaptation of women with cervical cancer to the disease, and support from various sources. The findings conclude that women diagnosed with cervical cancer experience shock, sadness, and fear, highlighting the need for support from family, relatives, close friends, and healthcare professionals.

Abstract

Nurses’ performance plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. However, in Indonesia, nurses’ performance remains relatively low, which is partly attributed to inadequate levels of work motivation. Work motivation itself is shaped by several factors, one of the most influential being self-efficacy, defined as an individual’s confidence in their ability to perform tasks effectively. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and work motivation among inpatient nurses at Banjarmasin Islamic Hospital. A quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was used. The study population included all 75 inpatient nurses, with 63 participants selected through quota sampling. Data collection employed two instruments: a self-efficacy questionnaire adapted from Basari’s research and a work motivation questionnaire developed by Mubarok. The collected data were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test with a 0.05 significance level. Findings revealed that most nurses (76.2%) had moderate levels of self-efficacy, while the majority also reported moderate levels of work motivation (55.6%). Statistical testing indicated a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.510 and a significance value (p = 0.001), demonstrating a moderate, positive, and statistically significant relationship between self-efficacy and work motivation. These results suggest that the stronger a nurse’s belief in their competence, the greater their motivation to perform work-related tasks. The study concludes that self-efficacy is a critical determinant of work motivation among inpatient nurses, highlighting the need for hospital management to implement strategies that strengthen nurses’ confidence and abilities. Interventions such as training, mentoring, and continuous professional development are recommended to enhance self-efficacy, which in turn can improve work motivation and overall performance, thereby contributing to higher-quality healthcare delivery.

Abstract

Sistem jenjang karir perawat adalah perencanaan dan pelaksanaan karir yang menempatkan perawat sesuai dengan keahlian dan kompetensinya, serta memberikan peluang untuk berkembang dan melakukan perubahan yang lebih baik sesuai kemampuan. Jenjang karir profesional bagi perawat tidak hanya merupakan sistem yang bertujuan meningkatkan kinerja dan profesionalisme, tetapi juga mencakup peningkatan kompetensi yang berdampak pada kinerja profesional yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh motivasi kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan pelaksanaan sistem jenjang karir perawat di Primaya Hospital Bekasi Utara. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Pemilihan responden berdasarkan menggunakan total sampling. Responden pada penelitian berjumlah 174 perawat di Primaya Hospital Bekasi Utara. Nilai significancy (p-value) 0,000 atau < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara motivasi kerja dengan pelaksanaan sistem jenjang karir perawat adalah bermakna. Nilai korelasi Spearman sebesar 0,709 menunjukkan bahwa arah korelasi positif dengan kekuatan korelasi kuat. Sistem jenjang karir perawat telah diidentifikasi sebagai strategi pengayaan pekerjaan yang berkontribusi terhadap kepuasan dan kinerja perawat, menekankan pentingnya penghargaan, pengakuan, dan peluang pengembangan profesional dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja dalam profesi keperawatan.
