Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of a love-based curriculum in developing the character of santri at Pondok Pesantren Modern Darul Ulum Al-Muhajirin, Langkat Regency. This curriculum integrates five main values, namely love for Allah, the Messenger of Allah, knowledge, fellow humans, and the homeland, which are applied in various aspects of pesantren life. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study design, which involves in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results showed that the love-based curriculum succeeded in shaping the character of better santri, with improvements in discipline, empathy, social responsibility, and love for knowledge and the homeland. Although the implementation of this curriculum shows positive results, the main challenge faced is the influence of globalization and technology that often conflicts with pesantren values. Overall, the love-based curriculum at Pondok Pesantren Modern Darul Ulum Al-Muhajirin can be an effective model in developing the character of students, who are not only academically intelligent, but also have noble character and care for others and the homeland.

Abstract

Inheritance is a sensitive issue that often leads to disputes and conflicts within families. In some cultures, sons are often considered to have greater rights to inheritance than daughters. This research aims to evaluate the process of teaching inheritance fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) in the madrasah, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the methods employed in the teaching process. The research methodology employed is qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentary studies. The research findings indicate that the process of teaching inheritance fiqh at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Tarbiah Islamiyah faces several challenges, including a lack of conceptual understanding, The research findings also highlight insufficient utilization of diverse teaching methods, as well as inadequate learning resources. Based on the analysis, it is recommended to enhance conceptual understanding through a more practical approach, implement innovative teaching methods, and provide comprehensive and up-to-date learning resources. It is hoped that this research will contribute positively to the development of inheritance fiqh teaching in the madrasah.

Abstract

Religious character is one aspect of human personality that cannot stand alone, meaning that it is related to aspects of personality and must be trained in children as early as possible so as not to hinder the child's further developmental tasks. This ability is acquired by willingness, and encouragement from others. The goal of education is to build character, while the main goal of education is not knowledge but appearance or action. Therefore, character education in an educational institution is very important and necessary. Character education is the process of instilling certain characters as well as providing seeds so that students are able to grow their distinctive characters when running their lives. This research uses a type of qualitative research with descriptive methods. Educators or teachers in the context of character education can play five roles. First, conservator (preserver) of values that are the source of maturity norms. Second, innovator (developer) of science values. Third, transmitting values to students. Fourth, transformer (translator) of values through his/her personality and behavior in interaction with target students. Fifth, organizer (organizer) of the creation of an educational process that can be accounted for both formally (to those who appoint and assign) and morally (to the target students and God who created them). The form of implementing religious programs, namely flash boarding school activities, prayers in congregation, prayers together, reading and writing the Qur'an, blessed Friday activities, extra religious, Islamic studies, khotmil Qur'an events, annual religious activities and the creation of a religious atmosphere at school.

Abstract

Konsep akal dalam tradisi Islam klasik menjadi tema sentral dalam diskursus filsafat, teologi, dan pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pandangan para cendekiawan Muslim klasik mengenai akal, fungsi dan perannya dalam memahami wahyu, serta kontribusinya dalam membentuk fondasi epistemologi Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi pustaka terhadap karya-karya utama tokohtokoh seperti Al-Farabi, Al-Ghazali, Ibnu Sina, dan Ibnu Taimiyah. Hasil awal menunjukkan adanya perbedaan mendasar antara pendekatan rasional filosofis dan pendekatan sufistik-salafi dalam memahami peran akal. Sekitar 75% teks rujukan menunjukkan bahwa akal diposisikan sebagai alat vital dalam memahami kebenaran, namun tetap dalam kerangka keterbatasannya dibandingkan wahyu. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan pemahaman yang utuh terhadap konsep akal dalam Islam dan relevansinya dalam dialog antara nalar dan spiritualitas di masa kini.

Abstract

Konsep makanan halal merupakan aspek fundamental dalam ajaran Islam yang mencerminkan kepatuhan seorang Muslim terhadap perintah syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam perspektif Islam terhadap halal food, mulai dari dasar hukum, prinsip-prinsip syariah yang melandasinya, hingga relevansi dan tantangan penerapannya di era globalisasi saat ini. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bahwa halal food tidak sekadar aspek hukum agama, tetapi juga mencerminkan dimensi etika, spiritual, dan kesehatan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 87% responden muslim di perkotaan menyatakan label halal sebagai faktor penting dalam memilih produk makanan. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya tantangan dalam sertifikasi halal, standar global, serta kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya konsumsi halal. Dengan demikian, halal food merupakan bagian integral dari gaya hidup Islami yang menuntut kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan keterlibatan berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah, industri, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Transaksi jual beli merupakan aktivitas ekonomi yang paling dominan dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan mendapatkan perhatian khusus dalam Islam. Dalam hukum Islam, prinsip keadilan, kerelaan, dan kejelasan menjadi pilar utama dalam menentukan keabsahan suatu transaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau ketentuan-ketentuan hukum Islam terkait jual beli, mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur yang membatalkan jual beli, serta menganalisis bagaimana penerapan prinsip-prinsip syariah dalam praktik jual beli kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi literatur dan analisis simulatif terhadap praktik jual beli dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil sementara menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat masih belum memahami prinsip kehalalan transaksi secara menyeluruh, seperti unsur riba, gharar (ketidakjelasan), dan tadlis (penipuan). Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya edukasi hukum Islam dalam ranah muamalah.
