Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce a valid and feasible flipbook-based e-module for learning trigonometry comparisons, as well as to assess the quality of the e-module usage in terms of practicality and validity. This research was conducted at Senior High School 11 Pangkep. The research method refers to the 4D development model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects of this research were one mathematics teacher from the tenth grade of Senior High School 11 Pangkep, a subject matter expert, a media expert, and 35 tenth-grade students from Senior High School 11 Pangkep. The development research began with the define stage, conducted through literature review or preliminary research and field studies as a needs analysis to define the requirements for e-module development. The design stage included compilation, design, and format determination. The develop stage involved the development of the flipbook using the Heyzine platform and included validation by subject matter experts and media experts. Furthermore, the dissemination stage was limited to Senior High School 11 Pangkep in the tenth grade of Ki Hajar Dewantara class with a limited trial. The research instruments used in this study included e-module validation sheets by subject matter experts and media experts, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the e-module is valid based on the assessment by subject matter experts with a score of 3.71 and by media experts with a score of 3.58, which are within the valid criteria, and practical based on very positive responses from students and teachers, with a score of 3.55 for student responses and a score of 3.85 for teacher responses.

Abstract

The Pre-Service Professional Teacher Education (PPG) program is designed to equip prospective teachers with the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary to become qualified teachers. This research aims to investigate the perceptions of PPG students towards the Pre-Service PPG program, particularly in terms of curriculum, teaching methods, lecturers, and facilities. A descriptive research method was employed using a survey technique. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 102 Pre-Service PPG students via Google Forms. The research findings revealed that the majority of students (99.65%) perceived that the PPG program can enhance their professional competence. They rated the Pre-Service PPG program's curriculum as relevant to the needs of prospective teachers (99.1%), its teaching methods as varied and engaging (99.2%), its facilities as adequate (99%), its field practice support as exceptional (100%), its character and soft skills development as outstanding (100%), and its administrative and financial support as sufficient (89.7%). These findings indicate that the Pre-Service PPG program has been successful in equipping prospective teachers with the knowledge, skills, and professional values required to become qualified teachers. The positive perceptions of PPG students towards the Pre-Service PPG program serve as an indicator that this program has fulfilled its objectives in enhancing teacher quality in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the mathematical representation ability of seventh grade students at SMPN 7 Makassar in solving algebraic form problems. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 3 students from class VII.8 SMPN 7 Makassar in the 2021/2022 academic year. The focus of this research is the ability of visual representation, symbolic representation (mathematical expression) and verbal representation. The instruments used in data collection are mathematical representation ability test questions and interview guidelines. The results showed that: (1) Representation ability on visual indicators is moderate. The three subjects were able to present images of the given story problems but the subjects still had difficulty in presenting images of the given mathematical symbols. (2) Mathematical representation ability on mathematical expression indicators is low. There are 2 subjects who are able to solve problems involving mathematical expressions but the three subjects have not been able to create equations or mathematical models from other given representations. (3) Mathematical representation ability on verbal indicators is quite high. On average, subjects were able to solve problems by presenting statements using everyday language from the given mathematical equations even though there were still subjects who were mistaken in solving the problem.

Abstract

Hasil wawancara para guru Bahasa Indonesia SMAN 3 Gowa diperoleh permasalahan mendasar, yaitu (1) para siswa SMAN 3 Gowa belum mengetahui dan memahami ruang lingkup musikalisasi puisi, (2) para siswa SMAN 3 Gowa belum pernah mendapatkan pelatihan praktik musikalisasi puisi, (3) para siswa belum mengetahui konsfigurasi musikalisasi puisi di atas pentas. Penanganan permasalahan para siswa SMAN 3 Gowa diberikan solusi, yakni (1) memberikan pengetahuan, dan pemahaman tentang esensi musikalisasi puisi. (2) memberikan workshop musikalisasi puisi (3) memberikan praktik konsfigurasi musikalisasi di atas pentas. dan (4) memberikan pendampingan tindak lanjut pentas musikalisasi puisi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah dan penugasan. Hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Skema Dosen yaitu terpahaminya konsep lingkup musikalisasi puisi, terlaksananya praktik musikalisasi puisi, dan terlaksananya prkatik konsfigurasi musikalisasi puisi di atas pentas, serta tersedianya video kegiatan Worksohop Apresiasi Sastra Berbasis Musikalisasi Puisi Siswa SMAN 3 Kabupaten Gowa.

Abstract

Program Kampung Bersih Nusantara merupakan salah satu inisiatif strategis dalam mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan dan peningkatan kualitas lingkungan permukiman. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan kebersihan lingkungan dan menyusun solusi berbasis partisipasi masyarakat melalui pendekatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) di Kelurahan Pannampu, Kecamatan Tallo, Kota Makassar. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup observasi lapangan, pelibatan tokoh masyarakat dan warga setempat, serta pelaksanaan FGD sebagai sarana komunikasi partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa FGD mampu menjadi media efektif dalam menggalang komitmen warga, menggali aspirasi lokal, dan menyusun rencana aksi kampung bersih secara kolektif. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan peta masalah lingkungan dan rencana tindak lanjut yang disepakati bersama. Program ini diharapkan dapat direplikasi pada kelurahan lain dengan penyesuaian konteks sosial dan budaya lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to find out that the make a match type learning model has a positive effect on improving mathematics learning outcomes of barru district students. The type of research used is a type of experimental research. The variables studied in this study were the mathematics learning outcomes of barru district students. The population of this study were all students of barru district students for the 2023 academic year consisting of five classes.Sampling used cluster random sampling technique, one class was taken from five classes by lottery, namely class VII.2. The instrument used in this study was a validated learning outcomes test. The results showed that there was an increase in students mathematics learning outcomes, based on descriptive statistical analysis the average value of mathematics learning outcomes was obtained before applying the make a match type learning model, namely 45.85, the average value of mathematics learning outcomes after applying the make a match type learning model is match is 72.07 and the average value of the gain is 0.46. Based on the inferential statistical analysis using the One Sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0.026 < a = 0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the make a match type learning model on the learning outcomes of barru district students.

Abstract

The Ipteks for Community activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 25 Barru, Barru Regency, Bojo District, South Sulawesi Province. The objectives of this activity are to: (1) Increase teachers' knowledge in managing LMS-based online learning; (2) Increase teachers' awareness and knowledge about the importance of multimodal learning management; (3) Increase teachers' insights, abilities, and skills in utilizing moodle LMS-based web learning management; and (4) Reduce the number of teachers who do not use blended learning in this 21st century computing era. Partner problems are: (1) the lack of knowledge of junior high school teachers in processing LMS-based online learning; (2) the absence of LMS facilities managed by the school; and (3) the lack of digital-based teacher learning tools even though the current era is a digital era. The method used is counseling and teaching, discussion, and training in collaboration between the implementer and the first partner. This method was carried out to all teachers of SMP Negeri 25 Barru and Mathematics Teachers who joined MGMP Mathematics SMP Barru district, who were trained for 1 day face-to-face and mentored through WA groups and then gradual evaluation and monitoring were carried out periodically for 2 months. The results obtained are: (1) Teachers' knowledge in managing LMS-based online learning is getting better; (2) Teachers' awareness and knowledge about the importance of learning management. (3) Teachers' insights, abilities, and skills in utilizing moodle LMS-based web learning management; and (4) The number of teachers implementing blended learning has increased, (5) teachers have had virtual classes as a complement to conventional classroom-based classes, so that teachers can teach their students without being limited by space and time, meaning that teachers can teach students according to the place and time provided by their students to learn when outside school hours. Abstrak Kegiatan Ipteks bagi Masyarakat dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 25 Barru Kabupaten Barru Kecamatan Bojo, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk: (1) Meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran online berbasis LMS; (2) Meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pentingnya pengelolaan pembelajaran multimoda; (3) Meningkatkan wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan mengelola web learning berbasis LMS moodle; dan (4) Mengurangi jumlah guru yang tidak menggunakan blended learning di era komputasi abad 21 ini. Permasalahan mitra adalah: (1) Kurangnya pengetahuan guru SMP dalam pengolahan pembelajaran online berbasis LMS; (2) tidak adanya fasilitas LMS yang dikelola oleh pihak sekolah; dan (3) kurangnya perangkat pembelajaran guru berbasis digital padahal era saat ini adalah era digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pengajaran, diskusi, dan pelatihan secara kolaborasi antara pelaksana dengan mitra pertama. Metode ini dilaksanakan kepada semua guru SMP Negeri 25 Barru dan Guru Matematika yang bergabung pada MGMP Matematika SMP kabupaten barru, yang dilatih selama 1 hari tatap muka dan dilakukan pendampingan melalui grup WA dan selanjutnya evaluasi bertahap dan monitoring dilakukan secara berkala selama 2 bulan. Hasil yang diperolah adalah: (1) Pengetahuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran online berbasis LMS semakin baik; (2) Kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pentingnya pengelolaan pembelajaran multimoda; (3) Wawasan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan mengelola web learning berbasis LMS moodle; dan (4) Jumlah guru yang melaksanakan pembelajaran secara blended bertambah, (5) guru telah memiliki kelas virtual sebagai pelengkap kelas konvensional berbasis kelas, sehingga guru-guru dapat membelajarkan siswanya tanpa dibatasi lagi oleh ruang dan waktu, artinya guru-guru dapat membelajarkan siswa sesuai dengan tempat dan waktu yang disediakan oleh siswanya untuk belajar saat dilaur jam sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to create multimedia-based teaching resources on quadrilaterals for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Dua Boccoe. Research and development (R&D) is the methodology employed, and the ADDIE development model serves as the basis for the procedures. One math instructor, twenty-five eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 1 Dua Boccoe, as well as media and content specialists, are the research subjects. In order to ascertain the practicality of the teaching materials in terms of learning quality, interest, and student independent learning, the following research instruments were used: (1) a material validation sheet by content experts, which aimed to assess the material content's suitability with the curriculum and learning objectives; (2) a material validation sheet by media experts, which aimed to assess the appearance, design, and feasibility of the multimedia used; and (3) a teacher response questionnaire. According to the study's findings, the instructional materials were deemed legitimate after being evaluated by media experts with a 95% approval rate and content experts with a 96% approval rate. Furthermore, based on the results of the teacher and student questionnaires, which covered ease, interest, and autonomous learning, the teaching materials were deemed practical with a 94% and 93% percentage, respectively. As a result, the multimedia-based teaching resources for mathematics for Class VIII pupils are deemed appropriate, fulfilling the requirements of being legitimate and useful for teaching the subject of quadrilaterals.

Abstract

Literacy is an important aspect in basic education because it determines learning success at the next level. Literacy is not only limited to reading and writing, but also the ability to understand, process and utilize information. However, low motivation, limitations in utilizing reading materials and supporting learning environments are still obstacles. This service program is an effort to strengthen literacy skills among students at SD Negeri 15 Parepare which is carried out from August to December. This activity aims to strengthen students' literacy skills by creating learning media and mentoring. The media created are literacy trees, reading corners, and library improvements with the program name "Pintu Ilmu". This activity is complemented by mentoring students and optimizing the library through the "Jelajah Pustaka" and "Literacy Development" programs. Evaluation was carried out using pretest and posttest to measure the average increase in students' literacy skills from 51.84 to 68.95. These results prove that the media-based and mentoring literacy strengthening program is effective in improving the literacy skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran, khususnya pembuatan flipbook interaktif berbasis Heyzine. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi guru di Kabupaten Maros adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam penggunaan media digital serta minimnya pengalaman dalam merancang bahan ajar interaktif. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan penyuluhan, pelatihan teknis, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan. Guru diperkenalkan dengan konsep flipbook interaktif, manfaat penggunaan Heyzine, serta teknik dasar integrasi multimedia. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat flipbook digital yang menarik dan interaktif. Guru juga mampu mengimplementasikan flipbook tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan meliputi antusiasme peserta, dukungan mitra MGMP Kabupaten Maros, serta relevansi materi pelatihan. Namun, beberapa kendala ditemukan, antara lain keterbatasan waktu, variasi kemampuan teknis guru, serta fasilitas TIK di sekolah. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis digital dan memperkuat kompetensi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan era Revolusi Industri 4.0.
